Hi Khlaid, do you have the owners manual that came with your ski? That will explain why you should fog the charger after use. In short, you are putting a small amount of anti-corrosive agent over the teflon rotors, to ensure they don't bind together when in storage. The reason you do this is, sometimes you get water in the hull when riding, and the ski is in a marine environment. Salt air and very small tolerances on the supercharger rotors (to create high boost), means it is quite easy for them to bond together if corrosion starts form whilst in storage. If you ride the everyday, it wouldn't be necessary but still good practice.

Thanks for the detailed explanation Jamie! Is it safe to run two water hoses to both the motor and intercooler simultaneously while running the engine? If so, is there a process you recommend?
There is not enough water pressure in most homes to do it safely. Intercooler first, motor 2nd, we are trying get any salt residue out of the intercooler before introducing heat back into the system.
I was looking to buy a 2017 310r but I was reading a problem with them having hesitation and the dealer can’t figure it out any ideas what there talking about thanks for any info you can share
Best not too as there is not sufficient pressure in most homes to supply into the engine and intercooler. Do the intercooler first with the motor off, then do the motor 2nd with the motor already on.
The Kawis are cooled using lake water. Flushing ensures anything that’s in the system from the lake is pushed out. It’s not as important to do it after every ride like in salt water but it doesn’t hurt it!
Hi, my supercharger don't sound like is kicking on. Got it from someone that didn't use it for 2years. When I got it in the water it would only go 40, but after a while of riding it went to 56, then lost power ,only went 5 miles to make it out the water. Got home and broke the belt. I put a new one on but it doesn't sound like supercharger is kicking in. What can I do? Oh jet ski is a 2011 kawasaki ultra 300x.
Hi Andrew, Depends on how long in between are you riding? If you are riding every day in fresh water, fogging the charger probably isn't all that necessary, but if it is 7 days in between, than a like 4 second fog is good for it. It coats the rotors in light anti-corrosive film ensuring it won't cease up when in storage. Doesn't hurt if only spraying for 4 seconds, but if you spray until the motor stops, overtime the intercooler will be clogged up and need to be removed and cleaned of oil.
@@MikeCoxsmaul69 Doesn't cause serious damage. What happens is if you have been riding in salt water. then flush the motor first. Any saltwater in the intercooler heats up and the salt bakes onto the fins in the intercooler from the hot air passing through the core. This makes it very hard to remove the salt without extended flush times or extra salt removing additives.
The drain plug for the ski, is a the back of the ski. you would only need to remove this when washing the engine. The engine does not have an oil drain plug. You need to remove oil with a pump via the dipstick tube.
In Florida, we don't use WD-40 as it pulls the salt in and intensifies corrosion...we use CRC Industries 06007 6-56 Multi-Purpose Marine Lubricant - 11oz.
On the 310X Ultra if it has to be towed in the water for whatever reason are there any specific lines that have to be pinched that prevents water from getting into the engine like Sea-Doos? Thank you
None of the Marine Engine repairs guys that I know here if Florida uses WD40...they use CRC Marine lubricant...we live in Salt here and I can attest to using WD40 on metal as I live right on the beach and to me, it is an accelerator for corrosion..... just my point of view is all not saying anyone is wrong...

This ski had our Kspeed Stage 1 ECU reflash & Kspeed 108mm Supercharger pulley kit.
Both are available on our website.
@@BrisbaneKawasaki thanks! I had a SCOM on it now. So that means just get the pulley part?
@@rockstarbootcamp9076 Not quite, a SCOM only fools the speed limiter. It doesn't give you any more power, or remove any traction control limiters. Our ECU reflash provides 10% more power, and disables traction control so that throttle response is instant.
The ECU reflash and SCOM will be very similar in top speed. ECU reflash will always accelerate faster.
@@BrisbaneKawasaki where is the pulley kit on your website? I couldn't find it...

Can you tell me what the actual difference between a 2014 15 16 300ultra X and the same year 310r? No one can tell me ... Same ski same engine?
300's stop being made in 2013. 2014 is the 310 motor. Motor wise a fair bit mainly cylinder, pistons, rings, harness and ECU. Cosmetically, The R has Handlebar assembly, seats, paint and stickers. The X is the entry level supercharged ski. normal seats, normal handlebars.
310 X & 310 R is Mechanically identical
@@BrisbaneKawasaki great.
So to confirm I've looked at a 2x 2014 plated 300x ultras is that the 310 engine like your saying above or I still have the links for the skis advertised. Ive come from a 13 Sea-Doo rxpx260 very fast but have had a few problems and it's turned what should be a relaxing day on water into frustration and $. Do you say the move to a 14 on 310 or 300 kwaka is the best bet at trouble free time on the water I just want a run maintain and forget ski not ongoing repairs... Thanks
@@vladimerputin7911 what is the last 2 numbers of the HIN. We are in Australia, I'm going off what we get here, there is a slight overlap on those years. The sticker on the side says what the motor is. 300 or 310.
300's are great, 310's go faster.
@@BrisbaneKawasaki I'm I'm Oz hour from brissie actually mate so you guys would be handling servicing to be honest.

@@BrisbaneKawasaki learned a lot - just bought a new 310 LE and want it to last.
I was looking to buy a 2017 310r but I was reading a problem with them having hesitation and the dealer can’t figure it out any ideas what there talking about thanks for any info you can share
How often do you fog the supercharger?
After every ride
How can I contact you I need a core or a super for a Jet Ski 2014 size 310
Email is best. We only ship heavy parts like that within Australia. sales@brisbanekawasaki.com.au.
I want this engine (tuned) to install in my hill-climb super light car (600 kg)Simca 1000 Rally 2 ,..
Hi, do you spray the entire engine compartment and everything in it?
Avoid spraying around the supercharger belt. But other than that, yes. spray everything with a light dusting of wd40
Show us the can what do we use for fog ?
www.brisbanekawasaki.com.au/?rf=kw&kw=torco
Thank you. This is the absolute way I flush my 310x
The dealership told me to do the engine first then the intercooler
They are wrong. This will bake salt into the cooling fins. Read the manual.
Hi mate, is it ok to use a double hose connection in both outlets to flush. One more thing is it ok to use the salt away liquid Thankyou.
Best not too as there is not sufficient pressure in most homes to supply into the engine and intercooler. Do the intercooler first with the motor off, then do the motor 2nd with the motor already on.
What are you fogging the supercharger with?
www.brisbanekawasaki.com.au/?rf=kw&kw=torco
do you have to flush it after using it in freshwater? If yes, please explain why.
The Kawis are cooled using lake water. Flushing ensures anything that’s in the system from the lake is pushed out. It’s not as important to do it after every ride like in salt water but it doesn’t hurt it!
Do you have a video showing how to winterize the 310? If so please let me know
Spray fogging oil til the motor coughs. turn it off.
Don’t you have to run rv antifreeze through it we live in the cold weather. Let me know
@@jaywetzel6204 We don't have to winterize here in Australia, Follow the owners manual.
@@BrisbaneKawasaki So everything is self draining like a Waverunner? Would it hurt to blow air through flush ports?
How would you fog an ultra 250x
You can buy and aftermarket kit. email us. sales@brisbanekawasaki.com.au
Hi mate, not something we can help with over the internet. That sort of thing needs to go to a mechanic.
Hey Jamie! I only ride in fresh water, so how often should the supercharger be flushed? Thanks man, very helpful video as always! 👍👍
@@BrisbaneKawasaki ok great! Thanks!!
@@BrisbaneKawasaki and don’t use WD40 tor that??
@@andreww4885 No. You need the specific fogging oil. It's very light weight stuff.
Torco, sierra, evinrude brands
@@BrisbaneKawasaki ok thanks! Not sure if they have that brand or what they have comparable here in Canada...
I wish my 07 U250 had that fogging tube... I heard there was an mod ...

What product did you use for the fogging? Great video btw:)
and also, is ut crucial to fog it after every ride (Salt water)
We use TORCO PL50, It's made in the USA and you'll find it at most good motorbike shops
Do you always have to flush the intercooler first before the engine?
Yes.
@@BrisbaneKawasaki what happens when you flush the engine first and then the intercooler? Does it cause serious damage?
@@MikeCoxsmaul69 Doesn't cause serious damage. What happens is if you have been riding in salt water. then flush the motor first. Any saltwater in the intercooler heats up and the salt bakes onto the fins in the intercooler from the hot air passing through the core. This makes it very hard to remove the salt without extended flush times or extra salt removing additives.
@@BrisbaneKawasaki cheers
Do you still sell the fogging oil?
Yes but only for pickup instore
Where’s my drain plug and how do I take it off to drain my ski the dealer never showed Me
The drain plug for the ski, is a the back of the ski. you would only need to remove this when washing the engine. The engine does not have an oil drain plug. You need to remove oil with a pump via the dipstick tube.

This product is amazing.
Everyone has there own thoughts and opinions. Kawasaki use and recommend WD40 in the owners manual.
We use TORCO PL50 here in the shop. It does cost more, but the quality is better
Fck Florida nobody cares of your opinions.
thank you
