I studied Hindi through Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha and itsHead Quarter is in Chennai, during 80s and cleared four of the Eight Exams.
My daughter has cleared all the Eight Exams in 2018, that is very recently. Many are studying now also. But We don't like any language including Hindi to be imposed on us. Tamil is one of the oldest and it's literature is very very vast and a treasure.
I myself worked in Gujarat during 2000 to 2003 and have witnessed the earth quake and also had bad experience during the riots in 2002.

Compared all states TN people more religious .Their Culture, language and civilization is oldest and the best.Out of marvelous temple in India more than 70% is in TN alone.
The main reason is except during Mali Khafhir period there was no Muslim invasion in the region.Most of the temples renovated and rebuild by Vijayanagara period. That is why temple build in Chola, Pandya, chera and Pallava period still exists.

1. First you check with the malayalam speaking people about Vaikom protest. EVK didn't have any role in the protest until Kerala Congress leaders like Narayana Guru were arrested and jailed. He lead the protest for 2 days and was taken to Trivancore palace as state guest as previously Trivancore king used to stay in EVK's house while he visits Erode.
2. EVK don't want Tamilnadu or South India ( Dravida nadu ) separate country, he just wanted British to continue the colonial rule in these regions.
3. Only one information is true in the video that is EVK is against Brahmins. But other fact is he is against Muslim, Christian, Schedule casts & tribes too.
