Appreciate how in depth you go into the analysis I am thinking of running a similar list with 1 Wrenn Just for luck and also I can bin it for delirium GL con yours
Just now, in bo1, turn 3 or 4, I had a wicker foilk + violent urge + FOMO + delirium and my 5/4 trample double strike was attacking TWICE for like 20 dmg total that's insane.
Man, I love big stompy gruul, but I really hate gruul mice. I've been toying with the idea of setting aside my janky stompy decks and playing an actual viable gruul deck. Can't wait to watch this video.... it's exactly what I was looking for this week.
The deck is fun and can sneak wins but isn’t as consistent as mouse packages. If you check out my last 2 live videos (6+ hours) and then the stand alone metagame challenge video all are playing variants of the deck. Originally played nemesis but ended up cutting based on meta shift
I have a mono red scam combo using artifacts like Dire Flail + Diamond Pickaxe since the extra gold made from the Pickaxe fuels transforming the Flail and powering it's activated ability, which damages a bonus creature. It gets an even bigger boost with Artist's Talent. I wonder if that would be worthwhile in the sideboard against say mono Green with tall creatures. I also wonder about when you go up against go wide creature tokens likes elves or rabbits or goblins, you might want to view a Wildfire Howl as an upgrade of your Torch spells to a pseudo board wipe.
Nice summary! Curious if you have any experience running Rumblebelt Maverick over Cenote Scout. Same for Bitter Reunion over Break Out. I've had mixed success with some of my lists, will give yours a try.
Thanks - regarding your questions: 1) I like cenote better as it provides the potential of card of advantage via putting the land into hand with fail safe of surveiling 1 if needed to dig. Maverick can dig you 1 deeper and fill delirium faster but the land doesn't come to hand if on top so you don't replace a draw step. Maverick is value in your yard however post board I find that less relevant as opponents have some form of graveyard hate 2) break out is more as a way to advance your boardstate with the upside of haste. Reunion I see more as a combo card to enable your graveyard when you want to churn through things. Breakdout on 2 lets you start attacking where reunion just filters your hand
so preface I havent played much standard since the RCQ as day job has been insane. I think you wan't to just drop the protection spells given the amount of no where to run going around. I do think being on 4 burst lightning in the main over torch is better right now as the option for face is pretty big. Lost a couple games at the RCQ to opponent within burn range. Cenote vs Seed of hope is something I wanted to try out. Trick is balancing around 18-20 creatures minimum for break out. some people are playing flytrap and beastie beatdown. I think both are terrible into a heavy bounce meta. I still don't like wrenn into red and UBx decks. If a lot of sunfall decks may be something to consider. I personally still really like the enchantment package of case and painter's. Lets you play a more fair game when you are not reliant of the graveyard. Your deck usually is slower than traditional gruul mouse prowess so you have to account for that to have some more card advantage.
In mythic, my gruul deck just get destroyed every single game. It take too much time to build up, and it's too hard to build it up with any black or blue control cards. I may win some time if i add the flytrap, but it's the only viable win condition you can have in this meta.
I personally think flytrap is the worse of the options. If they cut you off the graveyard it is a 3 mana 2/2, can't be hasted by breakout and is just a bad tempo element in the bounce meta. Mono White is the toughest matchup but think you just have to let that one go.
Good luck in the upcoming RCQ Joe!! Now bring that Delirium to victory! Thank you for all the content and have a great weekend!! Stay safe :)

Any thoughts on what the best Delirium list is at the moment?

I just top I'd with almost this exact build and my buddy got 2nd with his build of delirium
Nice job! Any notable differences? Were you on wrenn?
