Yeah. It's primarily based on the Gallardo. Only the side skirts are based on the McLaren.
Could you make the argument that the T20 is as close to replicating the 720s irl?
The T20 has a similar appearance to the 720S, but there's no way Rockster drew inspiration from it. The 720S was introduced at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, whereas the T20 has been in the game since its release in 2013. I have also claimed that the T20 shares some details with the McLaren GT, but it was announced in 2019.

@@Reklix I didn't know that Rockstar added cars to the story mode after the release. I thought all the story mode cars were included in the initial release of the game.

@@1diagramuel1 They don’t remove almost 200 cars at once because of copy right. They did it so they can lock it to earning it for rewards and locking them to only being bought on the next gen version of gta. The only way to buy them again is if they are a podium vehicle, if they are in the car dealer ship buildings, if they are one of the 3 cars you can buy per week in the LS car meet or if you have next gen gta with gta+. This was all about making extra money for gta + nothing about copyright or making the stores easier to navigate. The game would be a whole lot better if they added all of them back.

I actually like the Itali GTB, but had to sell it for the same flaw that A LOT of other cars have, R* inversing the brake/taillights. Obviously those 2 squares are supposed to be brakelights, and the curved ones are taillights, but R* made it the other way around. The 8F Drafter and Buffalo S have the same issue. Really annoys me. A lot of other cars just has straight up stupid looking lights, like the Buffalo STX, because R* seems to have a law needing cars to have different tail and brakelights, when they could fix almost everything by just lighting up everything twice as much upon braking. Maybe do a video about it, if enough people talk about it, maybe R* will listen.

It was true up to 2023, but I don't exactly know if it broke in 2023 or not. The Gordon Murray T.50(It's inspired by the McLaren F1) broke that record, but as far as I know, it's not a production car yet.
