You will always feel like you're not doing enough ..."
No matter where you are on this entrepreneurship and dream-chasing journey (whether you are a beginner or expert), you will feel, think, worry, and fear many things.
I began this online journey in March 2018. I enrolled in several courses just to make sure I'd be presenting myself in the internet world as informed/educated. I chose the skill I could learn more and develop believing that it is the missing piece in my formula of using my passion to make a living, but until today nothing is happening. I am not near all my dreams and aspirations. And I blame it all on myself. I allowed fear, doubts, negative thoughts, and demotivation to take over my life for the last 4 years. There were a lot of factors, to be clear, but I succumbed to those feelings which clearly did not bring me anywhere. But it's okay. I know that what's meant for me is for me.
What's meant for me will never miss me 🔥
It's only between me and me ⚡
#1 takeaway-Toxic comparison, Ironically, I had to stop watching YOUR videos and consuming YOUR content because it was way too much it was overwhelming me! I felt you were constantly putting out WAY too much content, too many courses, and too many posts for me to keep up with! lol it just became too much for me. so I decided the best thing to do was to stop completely and take a step back because most of the stuff you are teaching I already knew, but yet it was blocking me from pursuing a full-time job in copywriting (my background is paid ads specialist/ marketing strategist). But, I'm working on shifting to copywriter full-time. I am happy to report that I am in a much better state of mind now, clearly! because I'm watching this video! lol and my intention is to land a full-time job this year as a copywriter because I now feel fully capable and 100% ready! so here we go! So thank you for this motivational video, I think it is exactly what I needed to hear. My Takeway #2 What's meant for me will not miss me! 🙌🏼 cheers!
Remember, this isn’t Alex’s 1st year.
She has some time on you. And she came from a marketing background - worked her way up quickly and after college, ambitiously in MindValley for a few years before striking out on her own.
If I had to guess, she used that time to learn everything she is teaching us now, and test it on her own before selling these educational packages.
If you’re just starting out as if you should be on par with somebody who has over 5 years experience on you, then you’ll always come up short.
But your experience is much more than plenty of other starters - it’s just that you’re only looking in 1 direction, the one that shortchanges your knowledge, experience, and efforts.
Your work is worth so much more than you give yourself credit for.
Happy to hear you’ve mellowed on comparisons and refocused on discovering your own path to your success.

@alexcattoni I learned #2 and #3 the hard way, but my biggest takeaway was a point you made in the context of #1 - as an entrepreneur/solopreneur you'll always feel like you're not doing enough. I was a freelance filmmaker for a few years before the pandemic started and I could not take a day off for the life of me. The guilt of stepping away from prospecting and looking for that next gig that would change my life was unbearable. I'm gonna have to do things differently this time around. Thanks for a great video, Alex!
