    In this presentation I am taking a forensic look at first two pages of the first edition of Venus and Adonis. Looking for clues of the man behind the pen name, Edward de Vere. It takes us into the realms of the history of printing, emblems, Greek and Roman mythology and mysticism. Those two pages may look very plain, but believe me there is much to learn, and think about, so please join me.

    Thank you for your semiotic revelations!. The anchor emblem has a clear T within the anchor.Perhaps the reason it is included in this piece is because of De Veres relation to the T. As Alexander Waugh has pointed out to us T is the TAU, esoteric symbol of Jesus, the way and the IAM. the hand is the hand of heaven and Shakespeare/deVere is called the fourth T.

    I enjoyed the presentation as well as the illustrations extraordinarily,
    Unfortunately, I think that the equation of the author of "Venus and Adonis" with Edward de Vere is not enough justified, & neither plausible nor logical...The absolutely decisive key information of the 2 title pages are not „aberrantly coded“ letters or emblems. Consider: A healthy brain does not feel the necessity to have to uncover a non-existent i.e. hidden (invented!!) message, as long as existing unhidden information lies clearly on the table.
    The one (con)textual information is the all-decisive Latin title statement, taken from the Ovid 15th Elegy, which deals with the immortality of a deceased poet, the other lies in the "deliberately ambiguous" dedication of "the first „heir“ of my invention", as the first „successor„ of my (previous) creations.
    Both statements, which are not coded, must lead to the conclusion that Marlowe was the author of V&A. For details, s.link

I am fascinated, and now I have to go through my books from this period with a view to hidden meanings. Good thing I have been an Occultist for 56 years or I would be lost. Interestingly AA was a sign for the Golden Dawn in the 19fh century…perhaps a forerunner?🖤🇨🇦

    I’m trying to get a look at ‘new light on the renaissance’ by Harold Bailey (I think) all about the symbols of watermarks in early paper making. I believe there are, as well as the ‘fools cap’ which gives its name to a type of paper, there are many towers, crowns, and double ‘m’s….. all giving hints at the later life of Mary Magdalene.

    The anchor and dolphin symbolism is much older than mentioned here. It was the primary symbol of Emperors Vespasian and Titus, in the 1st century. Images available on-line, but links appear to be against commenting rules.
    For reasons that are somewhat esoteric, early Christianity adopted the dolphin-anchor symbol of Vespasian for their new religion. I can explain further, if readers wish.

      Ralph I have some of your books! The Vespasian/Titus/Jesus/ and the spin doctor Josephus Flavius connection to the symbol deepens David's forensics for sure. Would the dolphin go back to the fish gods? So happy you are onto David's work here (prob Alexander's too) what a team. Don't know what you would think of this but I am currently looking into the MM and Arsinoe (cleo's sister) connection.

    • @RalphEllis

      The symbol of the fish comes from the precessional zodiac.
      The constellations change every about 2,000 years, and in AD 10 the Great Month of Aries changed to the Great Month of Pisces. This is why Jesus was born as a Lamb of God, but became a Fisher of Men. He was the first of the Fisher Kings.
      This is why the symbol of Christianity is the fish, and why the pope wears the fisher-ring and the fish-mouth mitre.
      But the interesting thing, is why Vespasian and Christianity had the same symbolism. There is a reason for this, but it is esoteric.

      I am happy to discuss.
      It is my contention that the biblical King Jesus Em-Manuel of Judaea was the historical King Izas Manu of Edessa amd Judaea, who was the leader of the Jewish Revolt. (His mother, Queen Helena, was the queen of Judaea, and had the largest palace and tomb in Jerusalem.).
      King Izas lost the war against Vespasian (a war for the Throne of Rome), so Vespasian sailed to Rome as the next emperor. That is why Jesus was crucified while wearing a purple cloak (the symbol of an emperor) and a crown of thorns (the traditional crown of Edessa). Josephus says that King Izas survived the crucifixion, and was sent in chains to Rome and probably thence to Chester in Britain.
      Emperor Vespasian wanted to neuter messianic Nazarene Judaism, and to cover all this up. So he got Josephus to craft a new form of Rome-friendly Simple Judaism, which we call Christianity. A Judaism that would turn the other cheek, and render taxes unto Rome - it was the perfect religion for Vespasian.
      This is why Christianity and Vespasian had the same anchor and dolphin symbolism. See my book ‘Jesus, King of Edessa’.

    Unlikely to be Edward De Vere. The writing analysis from works published under his name doesn’t fit. Furthermore, De Vere wasn’t exactly shy about coming forward with works published under his name which are mediocre in comparison. If De Vere had written this he would have jumped up and down to get attention. Furthermore, there was no claim that was other than Shakespeare until well after Shakespeare’s death, despite this being one of Shakespeare’s most popular works spring his life time.
    So the evidence doesn’t support De Vere. But just a great conspiracy yarn, good for a Sunday curled up with a hot drink and a nicely put together video:).

And perhaps snails in this context might be appropriate for being male, female, hermaphroditic or parthenogenitic ?...The computer thinks the word ought to be parthenogenetic...and it doesn't like my spelling of Ars Amatoria either, so sorry if they're wrong, but you hopefully get what I mean.

    The VENVS connects it to the Earl of Oxford coat of arms (Ed De Vere).
    The 5 pointed star on the coat of arms could represent the planet Venus.
    Appropriate for a debut of De Vere.
    It's were V = 5 comes from. Also Ishtar goddess of Venus, the word "star" comes from.

    @David - At 57:22 you say that the number 40 expresses Edward de Vere’s closeness to God. Would you please explain that.

    • @davidshakespeare1767
      @davidshakespeare1767  2 роки тому +2

      Hello there, The great Elizabethan philosopher Dr John Dee believed that everything could be expressed in numbers, and each person had one or more personal numbers that brought them close to God. A basic principle was that the idea of 4 elements concealed within 3. The 3 being the Trinity and the fourth being the individual. There is a sacred symbol called the triple Tau, essentially three t's joined at their bases, within this symbol there is a fourth T upside down. In Edward de Vere's mind 4T's =40. It sounds a very odd idea at first, but the literature of the time is littered with references to it in relation to de Vere. Alexander Waugh discusses it at length and it crops up in my own presentations. His second number was 17, being the 17th Earl of Oxford. The date 1740 is when the Shakespeare memorial was erected in Westminster Abbey by the Freemasons. There is good evidence that Edward de Vere is buried under it. I hope that helps you. Kind regards David

    • @dannoakl
      @dannoakl 2 роки тому +1

      @@davidshakespeare1767 Thanks so much for your reply. In medieval and early modern times, 40 was associated with the sacred given recurrence of 40 in the Bible. What I’m not clear on is how this related to Edward de Vere. How does 40 express Edward de Vere’s closeness to God? Is it that 17 represents him and putting 17 with 40 does this? Or is it that 40 / 4T somehow also represent Edward de Vere?
      If Edward de Vere is the ‘fourth T’ of the Holy Trinity that suggests a very special and unique status. Does this mean that Edward de Vere considered himself to be a divine being or a second Jesus Christ? And that others also regarded him as such?
