    What do you think about the significantly increased pressure in the crankshaft housing after installation any aftarmarket catch can?

    • @AJClubsport
      @AJClubsport 6 місяців тому

      I think that it isn’t a problem at all, as no faults have ever emerged from this. Of course, it is fundamental to have a high quality catch can, that has a good filtering system that minimises pressure drop.
      Overall not an issue, as opposed to very concrete gains thanks to the cleaner mixture burning in the combustion chambers, I can guarantee it can be felt

    Great! And Can WE let the return After the catch Can down to atmosphèr ? And put a cap on the inlet hole

    • @AJClubsport
      @AJClubsport 7 місяців тому

      That is possible, but I am proving myself in the last days that the engine is working better on stock ecu with the hose re-routed to intake

    • @manuopc7020
      @manuopc7020 7 місяців тому

      @oJamesPiras and with Syvecs ? i am in Syvecs ECU. I think it is better not to return 100°C vapor into the inlet that we strive to keep as cold as possible. What do you think ?

    • @AJClubsport
      @AJClubsport 7 місяців тому +1

      @manuopc7020 it will be ok anyways, that is before even heating the intake air in the turbo compressor

      @@AJClubsportmandando il tubo diretto al esterno non si rischia di perdere la depressione creata dalla valvola collegata ad aspirazione ?

    • @AJClubsport
      @AJClubsport 7 місяців тому

      @Fastgatto si, succede questo infatti: su motori stradali si avverte una piccola differenza nella transizione da e per il minimo e sarebbe preferibile averlo che rientra. Sui motori più spinti non c’è questo problema e quindi puoi semplicemente mandarlo in atmosfera. Io ho fatto la prova sulla mia. Fra lasciare il tubo originale che sputa sporcizia e tappare il condotto di aspirazione, tappo il condotto e ventilo il tubo all’atmosfera

    Fantastic, thanks, although perhaps you could cut out the parts you sped up, and show more detail during the installation. Thanks

    What did you end up doing with the coolant overflow tubing that was also daining into your plastic "catch can"

    • @AJClubsport
      @AJClubsport 7 місяців тому +1

      For now I deleted it, as I will be then going with an aftermarket coolant overflow tank.
      You could make it longer and route it lower to exhaust on the ground

    I’m surprised how much blow by there was in your temporary catch can. I assume you owned the car from new, what was your break in method?

    • @AJClubsport
      @AJClubsport 7 місяців тому +1

      Yes, there was a LOT, and only in a couple of months worth of use!
      My preferred brake in is 60% power usage, without pushing the revs, plus doing a lot of engine braking from medium revs down. This helps piston rings a lot!

      @@AJClubsport I normally break in motors in heat cycles. For a brand new car I hope/assume it has only been idled and driven slowly before coming into my care, so the first heat cycle is already complete. First heat cycle I use varying rpm but very light load, and then let it fully cool off. Second heat cycle (when I collected from then dealer) I drove straight to the nearest ‘fun’ road and drove the car hard with a 5000rpm rev limit, continuously braking back to 2000rpm and going again. High loads, but not super high RPM, for at least 20 minutes. The next full heat cycle I drove the car at full power, as if it is a race car. After this I haven’t seen any oil use at all, and it seems my blow by is extremely little. The car has done 3 years of regular track work and 26xxx km now, I will be very curious to see what oil collects after I install a catch can. I will very seriously consider the HEL product thanks to your video. Thank you!

    It's a shame they didn't make the 2 holes perfectly fit in the bracket for the 2 plastic clips of the cable. Not the end of the world but just saying.
