My former roommate was in jail for stealing alcohol while working in a congress hall. He was not stealing it from anyone, the alcohol was supposed to be destroyed for tax reasons, so he was just taking it and selling it to one pretty famous Slovakian mobster. Eventually they caught him with 500+ liters of untaxed liquor in his dorm room.

Ok, there's some misconceptions in that first story. The story was obviously in the 90s. I myself dealt with a situation very much like that. Even then and even in 'red states' with what people consider 'lax labor laws' you can still go after an employer. I had an employer that was basically wildly undercutting people's pay checks and claiming it was local taxes when in realty they were just pocketing the money and just expecting the kids he employed to not raise a fuss.

2nd story: while "the law" is supposed to be about justice, court cases are basically arguments where no one can tell who is telling the truth so instead the judge just picks the person they like better. It is always in your best interest to say as little as possible and be calm and respectful. Every time you raise your voice or interrupt them, you are just adding one more reason for them not to side with you.
this is exactly why Johnny Depp won his appeal.

    Story 2:
I know this girl. Her name is Betty. *_"Betty the barracks bunny."_* there are at least 40 of them living in or around any military base. And no, I am not talking about this specific case, I just encountered numerous amounts of them. Betty, the twisted sister of Joe-D, who marries soldiers and screws around behind his back with other soldiers. I ran into a few. It caused me to not trust civilian women, and likewise I refused to date military women, thus leaving me to have been absolutely single for the entire last 7 years of my 10 year US Army tenure. It didn't happen to me, but I was an involved party to a barracks bunny. She married a guy from Division Artillery (I was Army Aviation), and I had no clue until he confronted me about it. He wanted to fight me. I told him (talking him down), that I had no clue that she was married, and if I had known, I would have steered far away from her (Yeah, because UCMJ, and my own personal morals against it). Either way, that encounter in 2001 left me to not date anyone from that point until I ETSed in 2008. In fact, I didn't start dating again until 2011, after my best friend had died (I was 33 at the time).

I'm not condoning this guys actions and yes he should have given her a go before he said what be did, but i myself have seen situations where there is a member of staff who was only hired because of looks. My coworker. She was very good looking, those types you definitely put in front of stores, and she had no idea what she was doing. A lot of times myself and others tried to explain something very simple to her and she just wouldn't get it, we always had to come over and help customers and many times she over sold, under sold. she has, and im not kidding, actually let someone take something for free because they said they'd come back later to pay for it! That was the only time someone saw it happen, she said she's done it before when confronted. And no, he never came back. She never got fired even though she was the worst.
Seeing examples of this stuff myself, i can understand why the guy said what he did. However, i would never accept talking to someone like that. If i happen to run into one like her and it became apparent that she/he doesn't have a clue, I'd just go somewhere else.

That comment bout just working in the store and being more knowledgeable isn’t necessarily true, case and point and im gonna b telling on myself in these, i worked as a cashier at a liquor store had to explain taste profiles of certain things in the store to try to sell them. Now most people would think whats the problem here, problem is ive never once drank alcohol in my life, so instead of lie id ask friends to drink and describe what it tasted like, if it was one i didnt know id ask someone else and listen to i can parrot it. Than there was when i worked at sams club we would b called to electronics constantly to ask the dumbest questions, like if i leave my tv outside will the condensation destroy the tv ? But every now and than wed have a decent question, in which case i would refer to the one who knows all we know as google. There was this one couple who came in and asked y the price of a soundbar was the price it was, i got paid by the hour and was annoyed at the time, so instead of a sarcastic answer i went on a full blown lecture about economics and inflation to them. By the time i was done i asked if they had any other questions, the looked at me and said ummm no, costed the store a sale but F it that job treated all employees like crap unless u we’re friends with the gm.
