The Meaning of True Friendship

Fr. Eric Nicolai preaches a meditation on friendship at Copper Ridge Conference Centre North of Vancouver in July 2022. The Beatles used to say "I Get By with A little Help from my friends."
It was written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, and released on their album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band in 1967. t is a strange title: a lonely hearts club. It is quite sad, because it seems to be written for lonely people, who don’t just get by, but actually get high with their friends: either with alcohol or drugs, as a way to soften the blow of loneliness.

😂 what is he talking about? Obviously he doesn't have a clue about what it's like to be 75 years old and be alone. Blah blah blah. And the pews are pretty much empty. What did Jesus learn from the apostles? Where are the examples of the joy, love, good times between him and anyone? Between the apostles? How did they relate with each other and help and share and forgive and love and care about each other? No. It doesn't appear in the gospel. What they wanted to know was who among them gets the positions of authority when they take charge of the 12 tribes when he assumes control in the end times .
