For me, an Algerian, not speaking fluent (I'm at B1-B2) french makes me feel dumb (even though I speak 5 other languages). I've learnt french at school for 9 years but I honestly can't speak it as fluently as I should be. This video is encouraging me to start learning it again 🌟♥️
you’re not dumb, you live in a multilingual country so the fact that you manage multiple languages at all is impressive :) following Algeria’s linguistic changes recently has been so interesting, i’m eager to see if french continues to be as important in the future!
Cuz you kind forced to learn it ,you had to and needed to , you were't actually interested in it or have passion to learn it , when we don't feel passion about something the process became a burden rather than a fun journey
I'm Algerian too, and I feel the same, lol. My English is not perfect, but it's definitely much better than my French. I can read and listen to advanced content, but when it comes to writing and speaking, I'm still stuck at around a B1 level. Whenever I go chatting on language apps, people often ask me about where I'm from. When I say Algeria, they'll be like, 'Oh, you guys speak French, right?' Then I'll be like, ah It's complicated yes and no, and I continue explaining the situation. Haha
I love love love seeing your videos from your lessons online because I am absolutely terrified to join a class but knowing that it's not super embarrassing or the end of the world to make a mistake is sooo encouraging, god knows I'd be overthinking my mistakes all day long ❤
I’m in the intro Spanish super sprint right now and absolutely loving it. It’s so exciting seeing what my classes might be like once I have more conversational abilities!
Tu m’as inspiré.
This video is so inspiring -- I just signed up for the Lingoda Sprint for Spanish 🤩 Très bien fait d'ailleurs pour ton français ! Ça me fait vouloir prendre l'examen C1 aussi ! Félicitations !! 💓💞
I speak both german and french and i did notice(maybe it is a feeling*) that like your personality when speaking french is different than the one when you speak german.
I'm planning to learn French next year so I'm excited. 😄 Maybe I'll do this... but the way my internet is set up... 😫 I don't want to fail because my connection was too weak. 😭 4:34 My cousin speaks a dialect of French and I remember him saying how it's a fast language. I'm legit over here like, "...this is SLOW?" I feel like I speak slow in general so this is going to be interesting. 😅
Hi Elysse! I like your channel so much. It's so hard to find someone who is so interested in learning multiple languages. I have a request for you. Would you please make a video speaking in Portuguese (Brazilian Portuguese)?
6:28 the right word to use is ''remède'' or ''cure'' I just discovered your channel and i love what you are doing ! Your french is very good, very understable 😀
My friends ***read the fine print***!! I did the sprint a few years ago and completed all my classes, only to NOT be refunded half my money because I took more than five classes in any given week 🥲 did wonders for my French but RIP getting ripped off
This is so sick. Quick question though, with the sprint, if im A1 barely stepping into A2,, is there like a roadmap of classes to follow or is it just kinda free for all? Also, how long are some of the classes? Would it be possible to do 2 in one day? (Sorry for all the questions!!!) I thoroughly enjoy your channel and content, keep it up ur gr888888!!!!!!!! :)))
they have a curriculum but you don’t have to go in order! and no, if you do the super sprint it’s 1 class a day, the regular sprint is one class every other day
Having been fluent at some point in the past makes getting back to a similar level so much easier.
Bravo Elysse 😊 J’adore 👍 tes vidéos 🌸 Tu as vraiment bien gêné.

this video included everything i was afraid of: vocab loss and mixing up words or concepts from different languages while speaking a language.
That’s why you should embrace it and not worry about it.

it usually just depends on how confident i feel :)

you can always try out single classes before committing to the sprint! and HAHAHA that’s some good perspective
Hi Elysse!
I like your channel so much. It's so hard to find someone who is so interested in learning multiple languages.
I have a request for you. Would you please make a video speaking in Portuguese (Brazilian Portuguese)?
Félicitations! I love the realness of this! Thank you for sharing your journey! My Quebec French sounds so different LOL
I learn french when i was 1 year and your french IS good bon accent c'est assez impressionnant
This is great 😍! I need to do this with some of my languages, I guess I did lose a lot of vocab in Russian and German
pronunciation tip: despite femme being spelled with an e, the current pronunciation doesn't reflect that spelling anymore. it's more like "une famme'
Oh, I wish you would make a video like this for Turkish as well; what were your resources and the whole process. I would appreciate it a lot 🙏🏻
Coming soon! 🇹🇷
@@elyssedavega Thank you. 🎉🎉
I hate French but I like you so I m here ❤😂 congratulations on your certification 🎉

What is guérison?
@@gs99_ Guérison means "healing", but it refers to the process of healing. Cure or remède would have been the right word.

C'est bon! Bravo sérieusement from a french man
If they offered Norwegian, I would've burrowed some money and tried the super sprint! That would've been motivation to study every single day.
Omg i love ur channel, i hope you do another vid for turkish🇹🇷🇹🇷💖💖💖 keep up the great work
6:15 was so funny 😜
aside from that I’m very impressed with your level!! Probably slightly above a C1 in my opinion

Elysse!! Can you make more videos for ppl learning Portuguese? 💚
I wish lingoda had thai. I'm gonna be there for a couple months doing muay thai, but the language is hard for me
How did you learn to do the French "R"?
I really loved your video very informative can I ask Wich level you are in?

Do you have apps you recommend or technique’s if your too nervous to like speak with other people if that makes sense?
