Definitely the best part about hauling grain outside of ddg, bakery, etc getting clumpy inside a hopper bottom. Loading Is very easy and quick as well as long as there's not a line of trucks. Very enjoyable work !
Dont wanna be in ur business but are rates better up there.. in Oklahoma corn going 90 miles pays average of .30 cents a bushel.. beans or wheat going from gavilon port of catoosa to kcmo pays 35 a bushel corn coming back is around 70
Merci. See also my "Dead & Co." videos of last week. Voir aussi mes Chicago vidéos «Dead & Co.» de la semaine dernière.
But, the compliance with traffic police over-the-road (OTR) weigh limit regulations is important, so going nearly right up to the limit, including the tare weight of the container and vehicle, is an art in and of itself.
While I didn't see it on this video I do see on some where the hit a valve in the box back by the wheels. What is the purpose of the valve ... What does it do?
Dumps air bags so they dont over inflate.. some say nothing will happen some say something will happen...idk im not a vet yet but it only takes a second to pull the valve so i dump truck and trailer when unloading
Wait! There's more. You can watch grass grow in a downtown Chicago plaza. ua-cam.com/video/uGdkCkByrhA/v-deo.html. Or, search for my video of U.S. soybeans unloaded from a container in Taiwan for processing into animal feed and vegetable oil. #animalfeed #soybeans #vegetableoil #grassGrowing #tranquility #meditation
nice vid... if it weren't for these guys we'd STARVE... and yet we'll pay a stupid baseball pitcher $160 MILLION to throw a damn ball... give that $160 MILLION to these guys right here
It depends on whether the farmers have their own over the road truck power unit and trailer, or if the trucking is conducted by a trucking company/service provider. The cost per mile compared to the cost per ton, depends on the marginal distance from farm origin to grain terminal collection or transfer site. If the truck is going just one mile, there are fixed baseline capital and operating costs that are able to be competitively spend over longer distances. Average length of haul for soybeans is about 35 miles, but can range upward, significantly higher, depending on the area of the country. Here is a link to an industry transport calculator to evaluate such costs: www.soytransportation.org/calculator/
I just started doing this from hauling containers the past 4yrs. I’ll never go back to that BS. This is a lot easier and faster.
They must have a shallow pit the mill I work at you can unload both hoppers in it that’s how deep it is
Thats what I'm talking about, no unloading 5hrs at a reefer dock, crank and unload just that quick lol
