- In this video, we visit the Lyngen Alps. How did we not know about the Lyngen Alps before? This mountain range is amazing, with waterfalls, pretty mountains and lovely people. Marten finally had the time and space to mountain bike again; he even mountain biked to a glacier lake on one of the Lyngen Alps. We made a little detour to Kilpisjarvi Finland before going back to those Lyngen Alps to visit Aurora Spirit distillery.

Hi and thank you! I've just added the Sunnmøre Alps to our list! We are now near Torghatten and have about a month and a half in Norway left to visit loads of pretty hikes, waterfalls and hopefully mountainbike trails

@@ourcamperstories Kilpisjärvi is one of the coolest places in Finland in two meanings. I haven't been to that three country point either, but maybe some day. That boat sounded expensive but I have no idea how much has it costed before. Once I saw it leaving from that pier, I've never been on board.
Just two years ago it was 35€ and we heard that a few years before that it was even cheaper. Who knows, maybe one day we will be such good hikers we can just hike the 25km back and forth 😁
@@ourcamperstories did you know that there's another visitable three country point where Finland, Norway and Russia meet? You can't go there from Finland or Russia because both of them have a "frontier belt" that prevents going very near to the border without special permission. But from Norway it is possible. If I remember right, that's about 8km from the nearest parking place but as far as I know there's a good path for walking.
