Whats the setup?
For light 1/8-1/4oz jigs I use:
Diana BG MQ 2500
7ft Md light fast action st croix premier
10lb braid uni to uni to 15lb flouro leader
Then 1/4-1/2oz and top waters a 3000 penn battle 3 medium fast st croix
15lb braid to 25lb flouro leader
Bait caster is a shimano casitas 151hg
Fenwick hmg medium
30lb braid 15lb leader

Thanks for subscribing and I’m glad you enjoy the content🤙🏼 there a few launches at the marinas around that area. Can’t remember the names. In a jon you can reach out and get to the bay side marsh systems on plum tree which hold TONS of reds.

Absolutely, that type of fishing is my absolute favorite. Right now the sunrise bite and sunset bite are ideal in the shallows. Unless things line up perfectly 10am - 5pm can be very tough. Tight lines!
Our family has had a place just outside of Chincoteague for 45 years. I have only in the last few years really started fishing the bay and areas around it. Really enjoying your videos man! Definitely want to work our way down 13 and do some more fishing!

I was just working in Poquoson today and I fish up there some with my buddies in our kayaks. Lately we've been going to the HRBT for flounder and catching a bunch, but no keepers.
I grew up in Florida but I live in Hampton now. I'm subscribing so I can learn more about the area. I'll probably bump into you out there too.

Nice work at Cow Island with those Reds. I mostly fish around the VA Hospital/HRBT area.. occasionally taking my 15ft whaler out to the CBBT. I'm installing Livescope in the next few weeks and hope that helps me sort thru the pilings for Sheepies a little quicker. I only recently stumbled upon your channel and subscribed, as I really like the local stuff. Definately think your wife should have a GoPro on.. it'll just add more great content to your videos! Tightlines!

The amount of boats out there was... surprising. I only made it out to the 1st island but the amount of boats working the area almost seemed like it too pressured.
@@1stTide there's always a lot of boats out there. I wouldn't say it gets pressured too much though
