Karl didn't 4ealize it but when he was eating the worm, he was eating the important part of the Mexican Jumping bean he had been searching for. Actual Jumping beans have a small 'moth larvae (worm) inside and the heat of your hand forces them to 'jump' as they try to flee the heat.
I remember the Jumping Bean toys, basically a pill capsule & a BB inside. I think the actual ones he means are seeds or something which have little bugs inside that make them move around on their own.
Good discussion at the end but don't start to think it is just limited to poor countries. Believe it or not the UK (and US) and just western life in general used to be more like that. But with the race to the top, with the influx of immigration taking a population beyond a countries natural maximum (when populations start to decrease) trying to keep the economy growing, it has slowly chipped away at that. I grew up just outside Greater London in a rural village nearby to a big town. Childhood was fantastic, everyone out in the fields playing together. In the houses there were builders, doctors, mechanic, farmer, post man, bloke who worked behind the pub, dustbin man. Everyone knew everyone and people helped each other out. As London started becoming to pricey, Londoner's started moving out of the city. The Londoners moving in pushed the house prices up until only professionals were able to move in. Kids who grew up in the area had to move away (myself included), local workers couldn't afford to live there so moved away, the people that moved in weren't really interested in getting involved with the local community, therefore the community broke down. It's unlikely to get more than one generation of family living in the same area these days and think of the strain that puts on people. If these areas of Mexico started to get wealthier and more popular, more people would want to live there and exactly the same thing would happen. It's a hard thing to get out of the rat race but it's an awful thing when it weren't your choice to join it.

Love Karl…he’s not an idiot, he just sees things in simple ways 😂 I agree with his views on this whole religious thing, not for us in the UK
The chocolate eggs come from a pagan holiday that existed long before Christianity. Even the name is stolen.

Jesus would've been tied to the cross, nails were incredibly valuable in that time period and would never have been wasted on some random prisoner.
