I was SO convinced that it was a woman singing that part, and he was just some actor they hired to lip sync to it. But yeah - dude has a hell of an AMAZING voice - his range is unbelievable.
I effing admire this performance. It embodies my personal definition of what music is. Freedom of expression. Every single band member leaning into the energy of the other, playing off of it. Having fun, letting go, being free. I was feeling like absolute sh*t 5 minutes ago. Glad my brain decided to remind me of this particular song, of Mack and Nallys energy. I lack self confidence but damn, this is inspiring x
Words can't even express how in love I am with this song. I remember when I first heard it on the radio a while back and it's been my favorite ever since.
LOVE IT TOO!!! I first heard it watching the VMA's 2015, I re watched it when everyone when to sleep just to see this mysterious guy doing drops on stage! (I didn't know who Eric Nally was back then and I thought he actually fell at first, love it though!)!!!!
Yeah I thought the same thing but after rewatching it when he does that wide circular dance move you can hear his voice slightly warp so it’s gotta he legit finally somebody repping Cincinnati
@@Itsant33which era of Freddie Mercury I don't hear a 70s , 80s , or 90s version of Freddie which part of Eric's lyric sounds like it . Genuine question
The crowd makes me so mad, my friends & me saw them live closing a big festival. It was raining for 3 days straight, we were wet down to our bones, cold, tired as fuck & we still danced like hell.
I can’t get over Eric Nally voice!!! Amazing range! I know everyone has mentioned it but ever since this song came out all I can think about is Freddie Mercury!
Let's all appreciate that he did all that jumping around and still did not get pitchy while singing some insanely high notes and being out of breath. Some people sound good by accident but Eric Nally is the real deal: A trained and well practiced master of his instrument.
This song just screams energy. Eric nally really showed the energy and Macklemore did his usual of being energetic and entertaining just wish i could have been there for that love show
I was upfront to a foxy Shazam concert many years ago. Eric Nally angel vocals are the real deal! If I could only see one more concert before I die it would be Foxy Shazam
is it me or is it that they love the part where he sings ¨ what you see is what you get girl don't ever forget girl, ain't see nothing yet¨ like that's just from to where I see that Michael Jackson voice is there, I love every bit of it.
I thought the singer was female and kept trying to search "downtown macklemore woman voice" and getting mad that they didnt credit her and now I am educated, he's a man that's just that good
OK. So, I'm far too old to truly appreciate this music. At least according to my niece. However, I find Macklemore & Ryan Lewis 's sense of humor refreshing. They don't take themselves too seriously. THAT is important to good mental health, I think. I doubt we'll be reading how any of these guys joined the 27 club, or need a sabbatical for "exhaustion". On another note. Is it just me, or does the dude in the red jacket sound eerily similar to Michael Jackson?
I just said the exact same thing to my husband last night! While I don't think I'm "too old" to appreciate this kind of music yet (though I'm quickly approaching 😉), rap is just not my cup of tea in general. But Macklemore has such a great sense of humor that comes across in his music! And it's not overdone, it's not a raunchy humor, it's just goofy, laid back fun and I just enjoy the hell out of it!
I can't believe Eric left Foxy Shazam for this. Of course he got more exposure and added a lot to the song... but my dude is a FRONTMAN. He is far too epic to second fiddle to anyone. SOOO Happy Foxy is back!!!!
I 100% support mackelmore and Ryan Lewis like they make such great music and I just love it. This is real music not like those rappers who rap about drugs, sex, and money. Like why can't mackelmore be more acknowledged
Eric Nally's voice makes this song memorable...I like Mackelmore...but holy shit Eric's voice is awesome.
Don't say Holy shit!!!!!do not curse
Completely agree
Agree. My head just played his voice out of nowhere lol. And now I'm here searching for this song again 😂
He is nice but he ruins the previous vibe.
I was SO convinced that it was a woman singing that part, and he was just some actor they hired to lip sync to it. But yeah - dude has a hell of an AMAZING voice - his range is unbelievable.
Not gonna lie, Eric Nally's voice is freaking amazing.
Can't believe he's not bigger than he is .
If only he actually released good music that shows off this version of his voice.
I always thought it was a Woman singing until I saw the film clip
Yes
Eric Nally & Trumpet Guy feat. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - Downtown (Live on the Honda Stage at the iHeartRadio LA)
I fucking love Eric Nally he got so much energy!
He's the man!
Even when he lip syncs?
I love how Macklemore features artists no one knows. Give some people exposure who actually deserve it :)
Except growing up which had ed sheeran but yea youre right
Geral Ferald True. But all the rest :D
Yeah. Cos no one knows chance the rapper.
JuizyJRaps 09 well I've personally never heard of eric nally or ray dalton or leon bridges sooo
***** Did not understand that at all but cool :)
how can Eric Nally simultaneously sound like Michael Jackson, Cher and Freddie Mercury?? Damn he's good.
I LOVE Eric Nally! He's my favorite. Macklemore killed it as always.
Every part of this song just works. I don’t see songwriters like this in Hip Hop sadly. Macklemore is one of a kind.
I effing admire this performance. It embodies my personal definition of what music is. Freedom of expression. Every single band member leaning into the energy of the other, playing off of it. ABSOLUTELY. It’s amazing!! Xx

Eric nally live is just... I can't die satisfied unless I've seen this song live
Saw Macklemore live ..they opened for imagine dragons. Eric stole the show!!;
Eric Nally... stole the show again
If Eric Nally is not lip syncing he may be the best live voice I've ever heard.
Michael Yingling yes go listen to his other songs
He’s one of those rare artists that is orders of magnitude better live
Yeah I thought the same thing but after rewatching it when he does that wide circular dance move you can hear his voice slightly warp so it’s gotta he legit finally somebody repping Cincinnati
He's underrated
@@hmm1758 didn't know he was from the natti
that crowd sucked. eric was on point. mack was on point. would've loved to have been there
Just awesome. I'm the only one who Eric Nally's voice reminds of Michael Jackson's?
He does sound like MJ, but more raw, less polished. Love it.
Agreed
No he is more like Freddie Mercury
@@Itsant33 more like a mix of both
@@Itsant33which era of Freddie Mercury I don't hear a 70s , 80s , or 90s version of Freddie which part of Eric's lyric sounds like it . Genuine question
Swaggiest trumpet player on EARTH
+Kent Heckel saw him live, the man is out of control haha
The audience is so damn boring
Theres no bari sax which is that low sound thats missing from the picture
How dare the person who edited this give Macklemore so much camera time while Eric was singing. Show the legend some damn respect.
Love seeing this. Went to middle school with Eric. Quiet dude with the chains and spiked collars. Reminded me of static x days.
This live performance is AMAZING! Great music, great performance Macklemore & Ryan Lewis & Eric!
The crowd makes me so mad, my friends & me saw them live closing a big festival. It was raining for 3 days straight, we were wet down to our bones, cold, tired as fuck & we still danced like hell.
Forgot how bloody good this song is
Love the chorus. (mixed voice Michael Jackson & Freddie Mercury;)
+Firat Abuleyla Straight Freddie Mercury.
Huh... That's weirdly accurate. The strength of Freddie's voice with the high pitch from Michael
Evelina999 Neneneneno. Freddie had a high pitched voice as well. He's definitely Freddie
Bork Laser He was more of a baritone. Just because he could reach high notes, doesn't mean that it was his natural way of singing.
Question: Have you listened to anything else he sings? Are you familiar with Foxy Shazam?
Eric and Foxy Shazzam is so underrated
Man i love this rapper!
Mikołaj Bilokon Macklemore is *THE BEST*
oops haha he’s really not
Eric's voice never ceases to amaze me.
I can’t get over Eric Nally voice!!! Amazing range!
I know everyone has mentioned it but ever since this song came out all I can think about is Freddie Mercury!
This song makes me happier
Let's all appreciate that he did all that jumping around and still did not get pitchy while singing some insanely high notes and being out of breath. Some people sound good by accident but Eric Nally is the real deal: A trained and well practiced master of his instrument.
Eric Nally OWNS this song. His voice gives my ears a hard on!!!
Oof 😂
The crowd didn’t pass the vibe check i was vibing better through my phone
That was really really good and the bouncy mans voice was simply exquisite
Eric Nally's voice is off the charts 👌

Eric Nally's voice is awesome :D
Literally the BEST Macklemore song
This song just screams energy. Eric nally really showed the energy and Macklemore did his usual of being energetic and entertaining just wish i could have been there for that love show
Foxy Shazam is one of my top 5 favorite bands of all time and probably my #1 fav love band ever because of Eric’s voice. Dude is ALBUM QUALITY live
Love Eric Nally! Amazing😍🤗
This performance was perfection. Their energy was so authentic and SPOT ON
First time iv heard them live absolutely brilliant love singers who can sing live!
The chorus makes it. Excellent voice and great production

Now i like Macklemore even more than ever for introducing me to eric nally💯
I think it is awesome
Shocked this sounded so much like album . Great job
Amazing performance
the only thing that sucks in this video are the crowd
Yess
Stage needs to be bigger for Eric to have more room to dance.
I think this crowd had no idea who was featuring lol
The crowd don’t deserve them
they is incredible
Much English, Very Wow
Popular opinion: *Eric nally 🔥*
Wow that was a really good performance holy shit!
Eric Nally should have played Freddy Mercury in bohemian rhapsody
my thoughts exactly!!
he's the only one who could nearly pull off the singing too.
or Sacha Baron Cohen for looks
😍😘😀😀 çok seviyorum seni marceklomere
Underrated Performer
Frickin-Frickin-FRICKIN AWESOME!!!❤
Pure energy - Awesome.
Those (Ben and Ryan) two really make great songs! And this feat. with Eric Nally is great too !!

J.M. Mitterando and or Freddie mercury, which I this is apparently an inspiration for him, given the attire!

The fact that Eric can actually hit those notes without auto tune or anything is crazy
One of the only live videos where they actually sing and there in tune to the original song
Kind of reminds me of you Sugar Hill gang. I love it!
i honestly love the way he's dressed
He's truly too real!
After all the work in the genuine music they do, you watch Macklemore and Ryan Lewis playing drums and guitar live in stage!
Isn't it amazing.. :)
😉
The best of the best
I love Y'all songs!! 😊/ God bless All of Y'all & Y'all families!!
IT WAS AWESOMEEEEE
Wow the energy on that stage is epic. Without Eric Nally, this song would have just been another song.
OMG this never gets old wooohoo
