4:17 What if you have a USB stick with over 2 GB capacity, but you partition it? You put the IOS on the 2 GB partition, but leave the rest of the storage space unpartitioned. Would that work?
I dont get option for usb, I tried to see documents but no luck. I am having ISR4331/K9 at customer premsis. Will it work when the usb is connected to router and it will detect automatically?
I have a issue after it boots with the IOS i downloaded from you it asks directly for username and password, 1100 series. Also, when 'dir usb0' it says directory is empty, but when 'boot usb0: 'filename.bin'' it starts to boot the ios image. Could you help?
greetings, Great video how do you copy the IOS image onto the USB ? we have two switches one is newer OS the other is older I'd like to copy the newer one and copy to older one Thank you
In Powershell: Diskpart List disk (find your USB) select disk 1 list part clean create part primary size=2000 active To back to original size: list disk select disk 1 list partition clean list partition create partition primary list partition format fs=fat32 quick list partition

About new IOS, they require you to set new username and password (may need strength pass). Also, could you give me exactly your C1100 part#?
There is a way to use a 8Gb Compact Flash to boot up?
What format should the USB stick have?
Hi mate,
You should use FAT32 standard. And remember that USB capacity must be equal or below 4GB.
Best regards
@@tigernet2509 thanks a lot!

How to get so small usb sticks 🤯
In Powershell:
Diskpart
List disk (find your USB)
select disk 1
list part
clean
create part primary size=2000
active
To back to original size:
list disk
select disk 1
list partition
clean
list partition
create partition primary
list partition
format fs=fat32 quick
list partition
Watching you type is so freaking painful
