I was introduced to the lumineers through “Patience” and I’ve been a piano/ music loving kid since I first connected w music at 3. This instrumental is so simply inspiring and amazing. Every time I hear it, it brings me back to the first time I heard it.
i had an overwhelming need to create an aesthetic for this song, so here goes: christmas day with relatives the sound of laughter echoing in a room wearing old jewelry the smell of an antique shop history class putting on perfume new years eve parties the sound of the ocean at night the warm breeze of summer on your arms getting all itchy after rolling in grass kindergarten a long hug from your mom getting a thank you note the sound of a hummingbird those sleepovers full of giggles and tangled legs and movies the color orange

everytime I listen to this song I get memories. so imma just say them: me and my sister dancing away to some pink piano music. laughing while our hair gets in our faces. having the cool weather blew in the window. not worrying about anything...just dancing away. 2: having a cool slightly rainy night. watching tv with my siblings. as the cool air comes in though the windows. 3: going outside playing with my siblings in the playhouse in the summer time. 4: me when I was a little kid having a ni hao kai lan nightlight. playing a song as the light shows up on my ceiling. making me fall to sleep. 5: playing roblox on a cool summer night. with my online friends. I have so many more but these our my favorite. but thank you if you read this:)
