I really wish this ride actually had a themed ceiling too. When the lights flash and you can see the walls and ceiling parts, it really kills the immersion
@@graffiti.777 Yup, 100%. This ride does have a lot of promise, but they just seem clueless on how to hide the lighting and honestly, the walls looked really closed in as well. Feels like they maybe tried to do too much with the space they had while also missing out on the simple added immersion of just some leaves or stars on the ceiling
Honestly, it looks pretty good. Sure, you can see the ceilings and some of the walls, but it certainly looks like a lot of work was put into it. If they tone down some of the lights and change a few of the more obvious walls to look like a temple, this would really make it a great ride.
It seems like a good idea, the idea of 'losing lives' across the ride is actually kind of cool. Could have definitely done a sort of Indiana Jones meets Jungle Cruise with the idea. It's really lacking when it comes to immersive themeing, however, with the open celings (making us look up at the spiders was hilarious because you could see the celing), lack of moving pieces/animatronics, and poor ride vehicles (not even real wheels nor an actual steering wheel). So just another ride that would make us say 'What If..'
I think it would be a perfect ride once the open spaces are either filled in or hidden. A lot of that can be fixed through being strict with lighting. The bright lights used also make the projections lack contrast in some areas
I'm wondering if it's really a lack of theming, or if it's just because of the cameras larger aperture, that it can see more than we would in the situation. I'm assuming that they have a decent enough camera for low lighting, which could've made it where the camera was seeing more than the people riding would actually see. Breaks immersion for us watching, but not for the people riding.

Sometimes something is not working, audio and video rarely aren’t in synchro and other minor things. But overall os very good for it’s budget range! You can feel giant’s hot breath when passing in front of the moving head, in the loading station you can smell cinnamon flavour, the big hand tries to catch you, the snake sprays venom when passing by, and when there’s the falling scene you can feeling like you’re falling. Overall I would go for a 7 out of 10.

This is pretty amazing for a non-Disney or Universal park ride. Considering this is way more immersive and creative than some attractions I've seen outside those parks where you can see the walls / ceilings. This ride may have those issues too, but unlike others, they seem to really excel in other areas and a lot of the reasoning for it being noticed is simply due to the flashing lights that go along with the thunder and the camera angles. However, another thing to think about is most people who do high quality videos on UA-cam in a lot of cases can pick up on a lot of detail you wouldn't see in person due to them using high quality camera, or for example, "low lightning" videos (which this channel has released a few) specifically are created to show more detail on dark ride attractions. So while I think it could have been seen in person I think it was more obvious on camera due to the lighting, high quality camera, and angles that were used.
Ive seen this in person, it’s underwhelming, and the ceiling is very visible throughout the ride. And while it’s not Disney or Universal, it’s Merlin entertainments property and Gardaland has enough money to own multiple B&M coasters. They could’ve done better in my opinion! For a non Disney/universal ride… I liked it. A lot of fair and small park dark rides are a tunnel and neon paint with a black light. This has a concept, story, animation, and the black out jump scares were nice. I give it a 7/10 for non Disney/universal
actually, it isn’t! The omnimovers were newly installed, as the only real remnant from the old ride (known as “Ramses: Il Risveglio”) would be the theming at the queue and the track layout
@@donalog2299 Actually, also the track layout is completely different! They almost completely renovated the whole Ramses building, building new walls and tearing down some of the old ones. yes, not only Disney can do high level rides (in fact for me Universal is better actually) but apart from the big ones, in europe you can find great fun rides (like that one) with affordable prices for medium class families. In 2023 go to Orlando (from europe is extremely expensive).
Unfortunately there are a lot of effects that do not work properly in this POV, like the giant’s hand not moving, the smoke effect missing in the last scene and also the hippo that used to be a proper animatronic that moved quite a lot. This video is also too bright, in reality the ride is much darker and you can never see the ceiling. Take a look at a POV from last year to see the ride at its fullest.
I think the reason you can see the ceilings and walls in the video is 100% the camera settings, and not a real representation of what people were seeing on the ride. It's likely that the camera just had decent low-light settings and made things a lot more visible on camera than to the people riding.
Nigel's lip-synching is just like a spaghetti western! lol I love this. Great ride idea, and it's awesome that we live in a time when there is plenty of competition with the big leagues in theme park attractions. Jumanji has always been a favorite story of mine so it's a good candidate for a ride like this one. I'll definitely check out more about this Gardaland park.
This has a lot of potential if they can get the lighting right, slightly darker to hide the ceilings, at least it’s original and not trying to copy other attractions
Jumanji The Adventure is a dark ride with a lot of potential, the only thing missing is the scenery. Gardaland is my home park I am there many times a year and I can tell you that since they opened Jumanji The Adventure they have kept adding new scenery to the attraction all the time...I know there is still a lot missing but honestly all in all I would give the attraction an 8/10 rating. Hopefully the park will fix this set design problem!
As an architect it's amazing to see the lengths Disney and Universal go to to conceal Fire Escape Exit signs but still keep the building compliant with local building codes. Here, there's illuminated exit signs and doors everywhere. Really takes you out of the experience.
This looks like a solid ride! Lots of fun. Great use of projection and sets. Feels very Shanghai Pirates. And Jumanji seems like such an obvious choice for a ride of this type. Kind of surprised it hasn't been done earlier.
I have a few questions, were the animatronics broken or static? Did the projections translate better in real life? At 4:53 there is a red laser, was this visible in real life or only on camera, and does anyone know if this was for tracking? I think that people have said below it was a good idea, but I agree, it has some noticeable need for improvements. I 100% agree that the elements that were visible took away, but it was nice to watch.
The Hippo should move up down left right, also the band of the giant "fall" towards you, at the end there should be smoke and I've nere seen the red laser, in real life the ride is darker so you don't see the ceiling that much
Interesting mix of fully immersive elements, and other parts with obvious walls and tracks with no real attempt to hide the fact you're on a ride. Maybe with more money and a slight overhaul, this could become completely immersive, like the Disneyland ride it so wants to be.
I think this ride looks amazing I would love to see Universal pick it up and replace the fast and furious with it. For theme and story of the ride is so cool. As it wouldn’t surprise me if Jumanji has ancient stone guardian.
Man. It had so much potential! I say shut it down for a year, theme the ceiling and change the static figures to audio animatronics. The video effects are great though.
Well, that's a thing. A lot of cost cutting and lack of creativity when it comes to the overuse of screens that don't even blend into the surroundings. The drop simulator aspect was a great addition, but the abrupt spin transition takes you out of the experience. If it wasn't for the giant prop, the whole thing just feels like one of the many Halloween walkthroughs Universal does, though they are a bit more interesting due to the condensed spaces used and the large amount of prop usage with the jump scare actors. This just feels like an empty warehouse (you can even see the freakin' roof of it in the spider scene) with a bunch of walls and screens to stare at with the occasional statue or interesting prop (like the giant), but you see the lack of funds put into the experience and understand why. The hippo is just a floating head! Really Universal? You couldn't make it seem like it is in a pool of green water?
Imagine a ride based on the first film that goes through the rolls and you move throughout the destruction of the town and the house, survive the flood and the crocodile attacks your vehicle, would be awesome 😂
If they also made more of the creatures like the hippopotamus open and close it's mouth, some of spiders physically fall down from the ceiling and the Cobra move and spit water, the immersion factor would be ever better.
It is just a medium theme park with 39€ entrance ticket! for people just looking for fun and not to pay more than 125$ for one day in the overpriced and crowded Disney parks. Of course can't be the same.
@@JordiLA those prices are only on the American parks. The Disney parks international are expensive but still affordable and better value. I would rather spend a little bit more but experience better quality rides.
@@JordiLA well, Gardaland is also home to “i Corsari” a world class dark ride on Disney level, honestly Gardaland’s visitors are quite disappointed with Jumanji
This is temporary... They are fixing the issues... For example some animatronics broke and they are replacing temporary them with statues ... If you don't trust me go watch a video of the ride in 2022
I just found out that a lot of these videos are shot with low-light cams. So all the complaints are because the camera is picking up things you don't actually see in person. If you rode it, it'd be a dark ride.
I feel like it could use some improvements like making it more immersive, adding more animatronics, and fixing the lighting. Just having projections and statues slightly moving, blasting air, and squirting water is bit bland but it still looks like fun
Child: "Mom, hurry up we need to get on the Indiana Jones ride before it breaks down!" Mom: "Don't worry, we have that ride at home." That ride at home.
Honestly its moving in a really good direction. Just fill in the empty spaces, dim the lighting and walls then cover the ceiling up not even fully if they just fix the lighting.
I have to say just my two cents but they could do jumanji like how the pirates of the Caribbean ride with a boat type of flume ride maybe going thru the house from the original movie and have alligators in there following you at certain points of the ride and have the hunter in there two at certain points as well and maybe have a scene where the kids are rolling the dice for the game or something I dont know but I think that would be cooler than this.
video doesn't really do this ride justice, when I rode it it was much darker and felt way more immersive. We didn't even notice the ceilings because it was very dark!
Really cool concept and most of the effects are really good! However that hippo out of water barely moving with just a puddle showing it’s animatronic bearings was a bit cringey as well as the unmoving cobra and effects that do there thing turn off and then after the turn off the car moves on. However still a really great concept and overall looks like something still enjoyable to ride. Would be cool if they have an alternate version Jumanji rollercoaster or raft ride for sure!
the hippo used to be a proper animatronic that moved quite a lot, unfortunately the animatronic broke and it was temporary replaced with this statue, take a look at a POV from last year to see the ride at its fullest
I don't understand why the effect constantly revealing the backstage constructure taking the riders out of the fantasy so constantly. They've already spent this much money, it wouldn't hurt to add in another layer of paint or veil to cover up the black walls would it? Great vid btw, thank you so much for uploading!!
i was hoping it would be based on the original movie, not the remake(s). didn't care much for those. also, i think "zathura" would make a far better dark ride.

Feels like something you see out of a 2000s theme park. Idk, maybe it’s Disney overtaking it.
It’s like if you ordered the Disneyland Indiana Jones ride from WISH. 😂
very different budgets :D
This is temporary... They are fixing the issues... For example some animatronics broke and they are replacing temporary them with statues ... If you don't trust me go watch a video of the ride in 2022
Love how it’s interactive in a sense
I just found out that a lot of these videos are shot with low-light cams. So all the complaints are because the camera is picking up things you don't actually see in person. If you rode it, it'd be a dark ride.
While the cieling thing is awful, that camera tracking to make the screens appear 3D is legit amazing
I feel like it could use some improvements like making it more immersive, adding more animatronics, and fixing the lighting. Just having projections and statues slightly moving, blasting air, and squirting water is bit bland but it still looks like fun
Child: "Mom, hurry up we need to get on the Indiana Jones ride before it breaks down!"
Mom: "Don't worry, we have that ride at home."
That ride at home.
That was actually pretty decent, at least compared to other screen rides I’ve seen on this channel.
Who on earth is that rock monster called.
Dwayne Johnson
Honestly its moving in a really good direction. Just fill in the empty spaces, dim the lighting and walls then cover the ceiling up not even fully if they just fix the lighting.
This ride looks SO CLOSE to being epic….but they skimped on the total immersion and the magic is lost.
wow, it's like a mall version of Indiana Jones......and the piece of burnt toast on the hood...oh geez
Please have a JUMANJI ride in Universal Studios Orlando 😀😀😀
video doesn't really do this ride justice, when I rode it it was much darker and felt way more immersive.
Since when the park was bought by Lego they do this terrible job
Where is this located
Castelnuovo del Garda Italy
Just don't look up 🙈 love the dual languages, reminds me of the long lost Sea Quest at Portaventura
Which they had this in the new Jumiji world in chessington
The first jumanji themed roller coaster is mandrill mayhem at the world of jumanji at Chessington world of adventures
That looks like a great ride!
Where is this ride located ???
They annihilated the wonderful "La Valle dei Re"... for THAT? Poor Gardaland...
They just opened an entire Jumanji land at Chessington World of Adventures theme park here in the UK.
Where is this ride??
In Italy
This honestly looks quite fun to me
That looks incredible!!! I like it!!!
Was this rebranded, looks familiar.
Use to be “Ramses: Il Risveglio”, though little remains of the original attraction
I love Jumanji dark ride
This is REALLY cool! 😃
When the rides are so off the shelf that the ride layouts are pretty much the same with different coverings.
This was better than it looks here
What park is this
Gardaland
do we get to ride in JumanJeeps?
thanks for filming rides like these so I don't ever have to waste my time on them.
Music:James Horner and Henry Jackman(1995-2019)
I wonder if universal would have a Jumanji ride at the park.
Omg thank u for this thank u
Wish they would have based it on the first Jumanji movie with Robin Williams :)
Dang that looks amazing!!!
i was hoping it would be based on the original movie, not the remake(s). didn't care much for those. also, i think "zathura" would make a far better dark ride.
Cool ride!
yeah its does look like Indiana Jones and I don’t think Indiana Jones abd jumamij are becomes friends that’s pretty cool
Who made this ride?
What about mandrill mayham at Chessington? Thats jumanji
Thank you for sharing!! This reminds me of Indiana Jones, but not as exciting sorry to say I would just go on this ride just once and that’s it
Nice 👌
Nice park very good
