You should wear whatever makes you happy. I think it’s ridiculous when people say a 50 year old shouldn’t wear Uggs or large hoop earrings etc.
Dopamine dressing has really helped with my seasonal depression. Am I out in 40 degree weather wearing a mini skirt? Yes. Am I cold? Yes. Am I happy? Also yes 🙂

Ok your eye makeup look gives me a dopamine hit. As a green eyed girlie (in my mid 40’s), I LOVE purple eye makeup. I always wear purple eyeliner (sometimes sparky) and if I wear eyeshadow, it’s going to be purples and pinks!

As an over the top pattern mixing walking rainbow of a dopamine creator, it always interests me to find what other people deem as bold or extra. For example your last look, which was adorable and very you for sure, you thought was a lot going on and someone like me, I look at that look then go, it's really cute but super basic (for my personal style). That's what's so fun and fascinating about personal style and fashion. One person's bold is another person's basic and vice versa 🌈

I am so inspired to play dress up in my closet. I get so many ideas from these types of videos. If I love it I will wear it. If I dressed for my age I am guessing I would only wear stretch pants and polyester floral t’s; but that would be so sad.😢

theres a stigma that people in their 30s and above should dress a certain way or more sophisticated and serious. people like to attach age to certain clothes and this video is to show you can wear whatever you want no matter your age. at least thats how it is in america idk about internationally!
@@xtcharmedyeah no i get that, it just kind of unintentionally reinforces that stigma, you know? by making a point of it 😅 i can tell ya as someone almost out of their 30s, age really is just a number that's more in our own heads - your personality is what matters - expressing that is vital 🙂

maybe it has never occurred to someone to even question wearing what they want in their 30s, and seeing someone make a point of it, makes them realise other people may find them strange for doing so - so THEN they become self-conscious.
we can lead by example, by drawing attention AWAY from things - such as associating age with certain expectations.
it's no biggie, it was just a thought, as someone who has been through it already... 🤷♀️
@@justathumb she doesnt need to lead by example. this video is for people who needed inspiration and reassurance to wear what they want. people dont develop insecurities by reassurance being told what they are doing is right. they develop the insecurity by scrutiny and being told what they are doing is wrong which she does not do the video. i think youre searching for something to criticize. just enjoy that the video is a positive one.
