The thing about him rapping in public like he doesn't care is he does a lot of "busking." You an see it on his channels, he does street performances. He's had to get comfortable with performing on sidewalks and in front of people who aren't necessarily there for him lol

I've heard mixed reactions on this song from traditional rappers because the beat throws them off but there's no denying, Ren can Rap rap. However, he's also able to pull so many other styles out of his bag.

"Ocean" is great. Personally, i like "Humble" with Eden Nash even more, it's my pick-me-up song. "What you want" and "Genesis" are among my favorites from Ren, too. He's just so versatile and he got so many amazing songs. "Crutch" ft. Bibi is great (and heartbreaking) as well!

As for suggestions you can’t go wrong with Ren, even his early demos are fire, but I want you to check out a song from his band The Big Push called Watch Out (live) they are on a street corner busking rolling out a brand new song and controlling a crowd of just random passersby like absolute rock gods
Neat reaction, I also really like the Stevie Wonder reference and if you think of the lyrics, following it with “repitition, repetition” is clever because it kinda describes how the lyrics of the song are structured.

Reen is really diverse. You light like his busking video with Sam Tompkins improvising to Stevie Wonder. Or maybe Bitersweet Symphony compared to the Verve’s. His cola s with Chinchilla ( How to Be me” and Chalm Outlines) are hauntingly beautiful. What You want has a bouncy old school feel. Power Money Game 1,2 &3 or Love Music 1,2 & 3 are great and full of meaning. You can’t go wrong.

Fisher is the guy that mixed the beat. That's all he does. He's like a club musician. He clips samples, strikes a beat, and just plays the mixing board.
In the UK Jungle, Drum and Base and Garage tracks and beats are regularly rapped over/to. Hence breaking the traditional rap beat tune the US knows. Your welcome to listen brother.

He goes harder on Genesis. It’s a more “classic” kinda rap song - completely different vibe to this. This isn’t really my vibe but I love Ren and appreciate his artistry. His pen skills, production, flow, schemes and performance on everything he does is always next level. But yeah, Genesis is the one. Share your love for Stevie!

His videos are addictive to me, another ADHD quality to “enjoy”, because he can keep the attention 100% of the time. Just as an example. Most music videos or songs I skip after less than a minute cause they become boring, because the dopamine rush just doesn’t stay constant, but he keeps the levels flowing high throughout his songs/videos.
