Should have gone with the Extended Oil Mil mod.... I know the production rate is cheeky, but I like that it adds soybean and corn to the oil production. Either way oil is a great $$$ maker.

According to testing by Farmer cop, the profit margin on Canola oil is around 11% over just selling the crop at best price, this takes into account the cost of running the oil mill, and comes to about 1180 $ or Euro per month. But does not include the cost of buying the facility in the first place. Hands down the oil mill is probably the worst investment of all the productions. Sunflower oil actually makes a loss each month, only Olive oil makes a good profit at $5000 per month over selling the raw crop. So at $80,000 investment cost for the oil mill, it will take around 66 months before you recoup the investment layout, not good business sense. i recommend checking out Farmer Cops video on Production profit tests.

The problem with those videos he made on the productions is that they are 2 years old nad must have done some changes with the pricing of oil. If you look at finances tab you will see that the cost of running it is actually only 60$ as mentioned on the production menu. The price of product will vary a couple of % but will stay in the same range, for me when I looked the price of canola on normal topped at 1261$ and canola oil at 5104$. The input is 2 canola grains for 1 canola oil meaning 2522$ worth of grain would give you 5104$ of oil. The production rate is 4800 meaning the factory can take 9600 L canola every month and if they wait until november to sell, can they maximally turn 96 000 L canola (worth 121 000$) into 48 000 L oil (worth 245 000$) at a production cost of 600$.

The mod for the small cottages to do it small scale is the best bet... 10k for the production then feeding it smaller amounts to profit off.

I agree that the oil mill aint a good investment for just selling oil straight up. But if they get chickens. then they can get the mayonnaise production and make some serious money. making the oil production a very worthy choice. I'da Still went with the modded oil mill though, so you can make corn and soybean oils as well which will make good money being sold as oil.

Instead of a spinnery get Granny's Knitwear mod it works as a spinnery and taylor. Wool in Clothes out, way more profitable.

you can timelapse existing bale wrapper, you cant timelapse an oil mill :P get the oil mill
