I've been a RN for 32 yrs, I was in the military (non combat vet), and I worked in prison .. I know Mr Singer volunteered in Prisons, But .. I think he would be more effective by not always giving "mommy daddy stored garbage examples" with a mocking, cry baby tone - voice (it's disrespectful) .. Your suppose to "Respect People and Honor their Experiences," some Horrific beyond comprehension.. Maybe, it's the groups he's typically addressing, on a weekly basis .. I'm guessing, M. Singer didn't use the "mocking (mommy daddy) cry baby tone" to inmates in State Prison (not advised) or would drop the "trivializing tone" w/ Child Abuse of Combat Vet Groups ("Survivors") ..
Yeah a lot of that missed the mark, in this specific session. It is based on the audience, and perhaps he knows the history of everyone sitting in front of him. He does know when they're recording. I wouldn't assume that just because someone is in the States, that all of their fears are based on social anxiety or average interpersonal experiences, experiences that are to be somewhat expected when going to public school and interacting with a community. "Some kids bullied you in middle school and you became afraid of raising your hand," isn't relevant to someone who has been held hostage with a gun. That isn't helpful to a person who is under duress. MANY people have experienced very real violence. Not all of our fears are that "petty." Not to say the "smaller" fears are not real, too. But "feeling the fear and doing it anyway" is very different when we are discussing speaking in front of class vs. escaping a violent situation. The no psychological needs thing rubbed me the wrong way, too. We know that when a person is treated like they are less than a human being in a chronic way, it results in extremely negative consequences. The social needs *are* physical. Singer has been helpful for me in the past. I think it's the language used, the specific examples used, that rub the wrong way. It might be lighthearted for him because he is on the other side of it, but people commit suicide over some of the things he laughs about. There has to be a way to share the pointer, without making it seem like most situations are silly and petty, and that we are making a big deal out of nothing. Someone who doesn't understand is at risk for bypassing.
@@PaigeSquared I read "Untethered," I listen to all of his Podcasts, and I practice and apply the philosophy / spiritual practice, along w/ Mindfulness, ACT Therapy, etc, and "every useful tool" I can find, and it helps me a Great deal .. M.S.C. is a great Therapy (tool), and "shame" is an often missed culprit..

Truth, presented with uncommon clarity! Micky’s words are both easy to understand and powerful at the same time. 🙏
Beautiful. Lovely way to start the day. Perfect analogies for people who can't decipher all the prosaic messages out there.

they overlook ebooks like Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki because its insights on attraction challenge conventional thinking
❤🎉
reading the ebook Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki could completely shift how you see and apply the principles of attraction
if more people read the ebook Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki, the way we understand attraction would transform overnight
no one talks about the ebook Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki because its take on attraction is too raw and real for most to handle
the truth about attraction in the ebook Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki is so powerful that most people don’t know what to do with it
