Just discovered this group today through an interview from Proresu Today with their drummer Ranna, who's been keeping busy while the band's on their break. Absolutely gonna be rooting for her and the rest of the band.

I discovered Pinkish Crown recently and really like them. I was disappointed and saddened to hear that Pinkish Crown announced on twitter/ x last night a hiatus from live music in 2024.
Only 3 chances left to see them live in Japan before the hiatus.

      It is a shame.

It was always going to be difficult losing their guitar player (and their second vocalist). They basically have to rely on keyboards now (and Erika's bass) for melodies. Hopefully they are just planning to use this time to find a replacement guitarist.

Wait. Is that the same Erika from Fate Gear? I'm looking forward to hearing their music!

      Yes! That's correct!

Yes, she left Fate Gear a couple of years ago and went to Pinkish Crown. She does still perform live with Fate Gear though and is generally present in MV's whenever they need more than 3 members even for some tracks that she did not record on. Fate Gear is a bit of a weird band in that sense as there only have been 2 or 3 (since last year) full-time members for the last couple of years.
Both Erika and Nana (vocals) are not officially in the Fate Gear even though they generally perform live with them. For more Nana, you can check out her band Gungire (pretty heavy metalcore) or Theo Nova (seemingly not that active any more).
Pinkish Crown has had some changes as well since their full album, they were a 6-piece on that 2021 album including dual vocals. While it is not my favourite album, it's certainly not bad. But I do think everyone who likes Japanese metal more to the power metal style or something like Fate Gear should at least check it out for themselves.
Also I can imagine them being great live, Erika by herself is just great to watch live. I have only watched a streamed acoustic set before, so I haven't seen them in full force yet unfortunately.

@@MaartenT Saw Erika with Fate Gear two times this Summer first in Frankfurt and then, it was very special experience, they played on a festival in my hometown Bremen as the headliner in a big tent. The crowd was enthusiastic, although they are rather unknown in Germany. Junna on drums made it even more exciting for me.

Yeah, I have been a dumbass not getting the tickets quickly enough. Fate Gear weren't performing in Belgium, so I think the closest one to me was in the Netherlands close to the border, but I wasn't sure if I was going to go and took too long. I should really learn from this, because I have done the same thing with Hanabie and Otoboke Beaver as well and missed Tricot because I was just new to them and didn't realize they were performing in Belgium when they did. I guess I can only blame myself :).
But I have heard good things about Fate Gear's performance. I have seen them a couple of times via stream and loved those streams as well. I was even ready to write them off originally because I am not the biggest fan of their studio sound, but the first live changed my mind and I will always jump at the oportunity to catch them live via a stream if I can. I can not imagine how much crazier it must be to see them actually in person instead of on a screen.
Nana has become one of my favourite vocalists to watch live, Nana and Erika bring to much energy to their performances and the new keyboard player Kurosaki does a great job as well on that front.
