This video is not about horses , It about near death and trying to live a little longer , The song was by Vladimir Vysotsky who died at the age of 42 . He was a Famous in Russia and had a very unique way of singing , very hard to copy .

The song is nothing to do with horses in reality - the horses are being used as a metaphor for life. The author of song is begging the horses to slow down (he is aware he is approaching death), but, at the same time he is whipping them along (his chaotic lifestyle) - he knows that his lifestyle is taking him to an early death, however, he is unable to change it.....the composer of the song, Vladimir Vysotsky, was an alcoholic & drug addict and died in 1980 at the age of 42
