He is the West Side of Chicago. He put a different brand of culture to the West Side. Very approachable anywhere he was seen. He watched my pregnancy, when I had my babygirl he picked her up and carried her around to show her to the community. When he returned with her, he looked at me … “ You have a beautiful baby!” He handed her in her fingers $300 . He was always protective of me personally while I lived in that community.🙏🙏🙏

I wish these 20 year old kids today would be as respectful and upbringing as Mr.Bishop. Respect now a days is so damn rare amongst the youth. Mr.Bishop is getting older and older so we need to keep such good values which he has instilled in us, to keep on going.

I met the Bishop Don Magic Juan at the Rock N Roll McDonalds in Chicago back in '97. He was sitting shotgun in a money green Fleetwood going through the drive-thru and recognized my homeboy Kevin (who grew up in the same neighborhood where The Bishop lived) as we walked up. The Bishop was so kind, so respectful and such a gentleman when he reached out to shake my hand and said "Nice to meet you, my brother". It really made an impression on me (as an 18 year old suburban white boy) that he took the time to say hello and make me feel like somebody. Since then I've always had the utmost respect and humility for EVERYONE I meet. I owe A LOT to this man. Thank you, Sir.

Im getting weepy eyes looking at this podcast, as a kid who the doctor told my mom that I was violently destructive and they wanted to take me away from her, She was praying for me and I walked out the door and bishop was pulling up in his green and gold car on 5th avenue to pass out chocolate in gold wrapper looking like a half dollar. That day shifted my perspective of myself❤❤
I remember his green cadillac. When he would come back to Chicago, people would see his car parked on Madison, and begin blowing at him, waving at him, scream out his name. We all knew him and loved him also.
