Not an easy find! I can't remember just how we found out. I grew up with this movie (I was born in '87), introduced my partner to it, we both love it and now so does our almost-5yo daughter. This, the Trinity movies, just awesome. Then of course Mel Brook's movies. Not just Robin Hood Men in Tights, but Blazing Saddles! Holy hell I do so love all those movies!
i saw this movie twice when it came out in nz (1975?), i was so impressed... the lalalalala choir bit and the telling the bad guys what they must do to make up for their accident were the things i most remember about it
Check shirts were de riguer at this time ! :-) ...and when a girl with glasses was a "geek" (even though v pretty) ......love this film....of it's time ...was the assassin called Paganini ? ....
Amazing. Watching these movies again now I know why I absolutely hate modern gross-out comedy movies. Nothing comes close to these movies when it comes to comedy and pure brawl.
This seven minutes are easily the best part of the whole movie. :D ... but even at that point this is a timeless clasic. Love it from begining to end. This is a movie that would earn from me a 10/10
@@tiadaid You are not going to forget this scene for the rest of your life, so if you think it's shit, too bad for you. I think it's worth approximately 400 oscars. De gustibus.
Should anyone else also be interested in it, the choir title is called "Coro dei Pompieri" (if I am not wrong, it means "Firefighter Choir") and written by Guido and Maurizio de Angelis. It seems that it has been written specifically for the movie. Here is a Hungarian choir presentation of it: ua-cam.com/video/vDYvDRq6hy8/v-deo.html
You are right in both your sentences, the son is written by a duo known in italy as "Oliver onions" they wrote all the soundtrack of the movie, including the opening theme "dune buggy"... if you are interested the original song didn't contain the part in wich bud stammed when Terence distracted him... it's been an improvisation from the actor, and the director decided to keep it in the movie...
Bud was brilliant in this scene. A really funny film which brings back so many memories of when I first saw this on video (ask your parents, kids). RIP Bud. Stay mad xx
Listening again and again, thinking of u, dear Bud, from heaven, thank u for your activity, sorry for discovering your true value so late, thank u for the laughs u make in my family, never forget u, thanks from Romania!
I feel much younger when I watch this movie. It takes me back to 1976. My kids say that this is genuine humor compared to most so called dry comedies shown now.
First saw this at a Saturday matinee showing back in the early 80s at my local theatre (along with the likes of Popeye, Condorman,Herbie Goes Banana's etc.) was such a fun movie and revisited it for the first time only recently and its still an absolute blast to watch and really cracked me up at times!
My wish is that they had made a Robin Hood-Little John film, it may have been like His Men In Tights, but, would have a been a winner, beautiful ladies, their signature slapstick violence and humor!
Firstly, I don't know about America, but in many Europe countries, mostly post-communist ones like Czechia and Hungary, these guys are extremely popular up to these days. In Czechia, their movies are on TV almost constantly... I would say it's because of nostalgia, because back then, in the 70s and 80s, just a few western movies could appear on TV and cinema. So a lot of American comedies was banned, but these guys were allowed. Are they so popular in the US or UK as well?
Dad took us kids to see this movie when it came out. Us and the whole theatre had such a hard time breathing from the stomach pains caused due to the constant laughing.
Thank you so much for posting this. My brothers and I laughed our butts off. Then they showed it to their kids, and they want to see the whole movie. Wish I could find it on DVD.
I remember very well seeing this classic when it was on at the Odeon Pitcure House Glasgow. The year it was showing and the Cinema was full with no seats empty. As myself and others in the cinema watched this classic. We was laughing in outburst fits of hysterical hilarious hilarity laughter. Very funny and with laughter so much our sides was splitting and tears of laughter. The comedy through this is I without fail or doubt guaranteed 100 Percent gold star. This film like there other films became idolised and loved world wide by many fans of all ages. Adults and Children in many different backgrounds parts of the world. Anyone who couldn't laugh and didn't like Bud Spencer and Terence Hill comedy slap stick madness silliness. They lack very bad knowledge understanding about what real true classic comedy is.
Jesus I cannot I found this , honest too god me and my mate used too watch this over and over I think a man gets a fork stabbed in his hand....we cried ourselves stupid.
RIP big guy. Thanks for all the memories :(
I've had this song stuck in my head for 35 fucking years.
You too, huh?
But it was a brilliant song!
this and "Dune Buggy".
worse than Muppets' Mahna Mahna? Or "It's a Small World After All"?
😅 I always watched these movies as a child, it was a great time
This is exactly what 2020 needed right now 🤘👌✌️

i see that it must have been more like 1976'ish that i musta seen it going by the date of the us release
One of the most stupid films ever made, and I love it for that reason!
All their movies fall into that category - and that's what makes them so hilarious. lol
My 8th grade French teacher showed this film to us and it took me years to find it again, and this is the scene that stuck in my head.
That is my reason as well!
*One of the best movies ever made
How much old u r
That girl with glasses, she's the type of girl I'll fall in love with.
I’ve been looking for her and can’t find her in the cast, she’s got something appealing. I like her smile.
A childhood hero who will be sorely missed RIP Bud Spencer
