- Google reviews are a great way to get honest feedback from people about your business. They can affect the decisions that potential customers make and how they perceive the quality of your products and services. Google reviews also directly influence how high your Google My Business listing ranks in Google local search results.
But despite their influence, google reviews are only one piece of the overall customer review pie. Admittedly it is a large piece but it doesn't mean it is the only one you should focus on. Find out what other reviews you should consider and why when implementing a review strategy for your business.

We should add social media accounts on GMB or not?
Any your video about the link of social media with GMB? I am sure you can cover a lot of things in it.
You can't add social media to your GMB listing. It's done automatically by Google
Another little gem. If in UK don't forget Yell reviews. If you have followed Luc before then you probably have this covered - I know I do.

You don't. They get pulled in automatically by Google
@@rankingacademy It is strange, GMB show 900 plus 5 star review but third party 1200 plus. But I do not know why Google doesn't pull in! Because of the Country you reckon Luke? WE are Based in Australia. Maybe doesn't apply to Australia!

GMB rejected my daughters business because she isn’t brick n mortar. I have been on Yelp for years and they just decided to notice I didn’t put on my account I do deliveries. They do not allow online businesses unless you are mobile also.
Thanks for your input. Makes a lot of sense since both Google My Business and Yelp are for local businesses only.
@@rankingacademy yes but given the change in more brick n mortars closing especially big box establishments, I thought the buzz about GMB now was due to so many at home businesses opening so it confused me when they rejected her graphic business. I have a hair extension, mortgage brokerage and just set up a mobile notary GMB without any problems. I wonder if she can appeal their decision? They seem to do what they want. They just suspended my mortgage account lol I had to appeal that, but I think it was because I do it from home, so I explained to them (just as I had to with Yelp) I also go out to meet clients , then they reversed it.
Also Yelp told me as long as I put on my website that I make deliveries and they can see it when they review my site, I can reactive my Yelp account. No one ever told me that.

With GMB, I put my address and hide the address. I am not sure if she want to go that route or not.
According to the Google's guidelines In order to qualify for a Business Profile on Google, a business must make in-person contact with customers during its stated hours. Not sure her graphic business would be fitting

Google reviews is BS! Random person gave me a 4 star review with no comment. I have a small and therefore personal client list. I do not recognise this person, and they haven't replied to my own reply to them. I asked for a review from one of my clients and they left me a review a month before the random one....did it twice (sent me their screenshot), and it does not show up anywhere! Think this random reviewer is going around collecting Google points to get a badge or something. Yelp is also garbage, they won't post up your review if you don't pay Yelp.... Yes this has been noted in industry forums of this Yelp tactic. I have reviews on Yelp that are hidden from my listing. My FB rating got doxxed after I commented (via my personal fb page) on a political topic. Someone didn't agree with my stance and did some digging to find my connected business fb page. They posted up somewhere to give me bad reviews. I got like 30 negative reviews in a matter of a day. The comments they wrote didn't even make sense to the business I have.

You do not need to provide any details. You can change your name directly once you've signed into your Google My Business panel. Not sure why you want to change your name but make sure it follows Google's guidelines otherwise your listing could be at risk.
