To me it was very obvious she went rogue. I was watching The View back then and Star definitely wasn't likeable towards the end. Her mother said some things to her, but I think she was so desperate to have someone to love her. They had a daughter. She just turned 18. My little cousin started telling how he had this "best friend" he would bring home and hang with. Had the fool in my cousins home, she cooking for him, he eating her food...her husband running out the door with him smh. Now days we have cell phones and not to many land lines. Well she got sick and couldn't have Theraflu. He mixed it in a tea or something anyway. Their daughter told him "mom can't have that" he told her to shut up and gave it to my cousin. Took the phones and left. Her daughter who was like 11 at the time said she suddenly couldn't breathe. This child was running to each neighbors house to beg for a phone and nobody was home. Her aunt just happened to show up to visit and was able to get her to a hospital. That same aunt told me a few mos ago that had she not gotten there she would have died. Her airway was closing. That STILL wasn't enough to get her to leave. It took her finding out that his "friend" was his lover. It was a sad story. I found out what was happening and was like...why? She died and he didn't even reach out to their child. Didn't show up to the funeral and doesn't support the child. They met in church as kids and were friends. My cousin wanted to leave her mom's house so bad...he wasn't the answer but God said that a wife blah blah blah. She would not listen.

Maybe because I'm gay myself but I knew that Al was gay the first moment I saw him on tv. Same with the guy that Terry Mcmillan married. I remember the episode when Star announced that she was leaving The View and I could tell that she wasn't supposed to make that announcement that morning by the reaction of Barbara Walters. To me it was very obvious she went rogue. I was watching The View back then and Star definitely wasn't likeable towards the end. Part of the reason why was because everyone knew she was lying through her teeth every time she sat on that show talking about she lost all that weight by doing pilates and reduced food portions. Also her going on and on about planning her wedding and talking about her gay groom. Speaking for myself, Star was the one I liked the least back then and that's says a lot because Elizabeth Hasslebeck was there at that time and I couldn't stand her conservative ass.

I am not surprised at all that Al chose her. I am telling you right now that men can smell desperation. I had a cousin that unfortunately passed away. She was smart, talented and pretty but her husband...gay. Anybody that saw him or the wedding pictures IMMEDIATELY knew it. I wondered how my cousin didn't know. Her aunt said something. My cousin was about 600lbs, and when your that size you may feel that you can't get the guy you really want. I think that's what happened with Star.

@@TomikaKelly Yes she was that big. Unfortunately she died of Covid in December. She had lost quite a bit of weight before she died. I asked her aunt which happens to be my older cousin also. She did talk to her, but she was in denial. I think the majority of us asked her mother (who is also my cousin) and her aunt as not to hurt her feelings. Her mother said some things to her, but I think she was so desperate to have someone to love her. They had a daughter. She just turned 18. My little cousin started telling how he had this "best friend" he would bring home and hang with. Had the fool in my cousins home, she cooking for him, he eating her food...her husband running out the door with him smh. Now days we have cell phones and not to many land lines. Well she got sick and couldn't have Theraflu. He mixed it in a tea or something anyway. Their daughter told him "mom can't have that" he told her to shut up and gave it to my cousin. Took the phones and left. Her daughter who was like 11 at the time said she suddenly couldn't breathe. This child was running to each neighbors house to beg for a phone and nobody was home. Her aunt just happened to show up to visit and was able to get her to a hospital. That same aunt told me a few mos ago that had she not gotten there she would have died. Her airway was closing. That STILL wasn't enough to get her to leave. It took her finding out that his "friend" was his lover. It was a sad story. I found out what was happening and was like...why? She died and he didn't even reach out to their child. Didn't show up to the funeral and doesn't support the child. They met in church as kids and were friends. My cousin wanted to leave her mom's house so bad...he wasn't the answer but God said that a wife blah blah blah. She would not listen.

What hurts her is that he isn't there for her and doesn't want her. She's struggling badly. The last I heard, her daddy got the virus (The package). I don't know if that is fact, but that leaves her to her aunt, grandmother and great aunt to raise. Her dad's 2 aunts will show up and give money, but it's like she doesn't exist to him. It also hurt that he didn't care at all that my cousin died. She feels alone but she's not.
