  • Some simply take off, gain altitude and display. Then there are the others who form the take off as part of the display. "NOBLE" the Luftwaffe Typhoon Eurofighter display pilot is certainly the later!
    Enjoy his display

Same here; actually one of my favourites from this awesome display.
With the mountain backdrop, it simply puts the maneuvres and essence of fighter pilot's skills in much more focussed perspective.

This has to be one of the most effective demonstrations of the qualities that make Typhoon a great aircraft. Its thrust to weight ratio gives it huge advantages in energy recovery in and out of turns and vertical climb rate that is up there with the very best. An awe-inspiring spectacular backdrop and an equally awe-inspiring spectacular display of this formidable aircraft.

Flight demonstration planning went like..."I've got it, I'll fly directly towards that cliff face then pull an 8G climb out and it'll be awesome..." and proceeds to do that like 8 times. Seriously one of the most impressive displays I've ever seen, because it was truly breathtaking. 👏👏👏

      Just for my curiosity:
Do you have airshows in the Rockies (except Nevada training area which isn't really for displays to public audience😉)?
Most of the videos I've been watching from displays in the US appear to be from flat regions, either sea level or from the big lakes in the North.
Btw, one of my favourites is that from Major John "Rain" Waters and his viper during San Fransisco fleet week 2017 (video on Afterburner podcast).
Due to the iconic landmarks of SF bay area, it equally puts the maneuvres in different perspective (rather than "open skies"); quite comparable to this from the Typhoon here.

RE: "imagine sitting on that mountain when this thing comes up vertical in front of you"
What's nasty here: you will only see it approaching you then.
The first time you will hear the noise is when they can already make use of their cannon to do some - let's say - quick side-task.
That's been main & long-lasting impression when I had opportunity to observe some bomb dropping exercise in training range (good ol' terrain follow Tornado back then).

Great work and nice skills of the pilot's in our small swiss country 😉 We have many mountains, good to hide but i guess not so funny to fly like the "mach loop" in Great Britain or in a "death valley" like in the USA 🙂

Thanks so much to our friendly neighbours in beautiful Switzerland with breathtaking Alps for providing the opportunity of such truly awesome displays! 😃
Unfortunately Germany's / Austrian Zugspitze has cable-cars preventing comparable display (the steep north-face would allow for ~ 1.5km vertical climb along the slope else); well, and not thinking about public attitude towards such display ...
If I image Swiss government would allow your fighter pilots for "go-around Switzerland cruise" on selected days (only 😉), that might even be more stunning than ~ 10mins in Mach Loop.
On the other hand, this limitation of having to stay in that "3nm length / 1nm width" sector (or shall I say "shoe-box" ?) with the mountains close by while still going at 400 - 500 knots (info from pilot Hauptmann "Noble" in corresponding video) could be equally fascinating roller-coaster exercise (and demanding for sure - "peak performance" at its best).

In principle, all said with any of the comments here.
Left a Thank You so much! 😊
Your video is perfect complement to the others of this stunning display.
Showing it in "big picture" perspective provides this awesome contrast of size of the aircraft versus dimensions of the surrounding mountains. Plus the incredible sound landscape of roaring twin engines with reverberations from the mountains.
All in all providing atmosphere making me feel like little boy and same time giving me the creeps; could keep watching all these videos in infinity loop.
Just for my curiosity since you're frequently visiting the Mach Loop area: do you know whether the Typhoon's of German Air Force are doing the low level flight training there as well (since Canada's Goose Bay is not used any longer)?
If so, then a honest "Thank You" to our friends on the British Islands for providing this opportunity.
Bit of tongue-in-check I'd tend to say then Deutsche Luftwaffe keeps their bad habit of "terrorising" our European neighbours 😉, though nowadays luckily it's for exercising and displays "only".
At least people here in Germany get some reminder of the necessity when the quick reaction alert squad need to go for alpha scramble (happened just few days again over northern Bavaria, causing overload in emergency call-centers 😂). I remembered one few years ago on calm, sunny summer Sunday afternoon. Two sudden loud BANG literally "out of clear blue sky", causing the windows to vibrate - quite impressive. Btw, TaktLwG74 (home base of the Bavarian Tigers) is just "nearby" my place - takes them less than 2 minutes if they're already up in the air and when slamming afterburners to go on Mach 2.
Your videos from Mach Loop showing skills of RAF crews are also one of my favourite ones; good to have common air policing with the RAF & all other partners from NATO over the North Atlantic!

      Laughable.
This was mid-2018 and things have only marginally improved since. Those F35's are not coming till 2026 and won't be fully deployed, delivered & operational until 2028
"Head of the German Air Force, Lt. Gen. Ingo Gerhartz, told 200 industry executives, military officers and lawmakers at an event in Berlin at an event in Berlin on Jun. 27 that the “Luftwaffe is at a low point.”
Gerhartz said that his recent inspections of several bases revealed serious deficits in the readiness of aircraft and other equipment.
A 400-hour inspection of the Eurofighter now takes 14 months instead of seven.
His comments followed recent reports by the defence ministry and the German parliament’s military ombudsman that revealed significant gaps in military equipment and personnel.
A February ministry report showed only 39 of 128 Eurofighter jets were available for training and combat use last year on average, and just 26 of 93 older-model Tornado fighter jets.
“Aircraft are grounded due to a lack of spare parts, or they aren’t even on site since they’re off for maintenance by the industry,” Gerhartz said at the event.
According Reuters, Chancellor Angela Merkel’s conservatives and the centre-left Social Democrats (SPD) are finalising budget plans for 2019, but Finance Minister Olaf Scholz, from the SPD, has been resisting moves to accelerate increases in military spending.
Merkel this month forecast steady increases in German military spending in coming years, in line with Berlin’s pledge to meet a NATO target of moving towards spending 2 percent of economic output by 2024, but she gave no details.
Defence Minister Ursula von der Leyen has been pressing for increased spending after Scholz’s previous longer-term plan called for military outlays to edge lower after reaching 1.3 percent of economic output in 2019, up from 1.2 percent now.
Von der Leyen has pledged that German military spending will reach 1.5 percent of gross domestic product by 2025.
Gerhartz urged lawmakers at last week event to back a more sustainable spending plan that would allow the air force to rebuild its equipment and improve planning for new weapons and upgrades to existing systems.
