What a surprise how these turned out. Beautiful ❤and NO BUBBLES!!!!!😮. You’d think with all that poking and squishing there’d be loads of trapped air but they were perfect! 🤔
I always keep my saw dust and use it as wood filler for my pinball machine repairs. Comes in handy for repairing big gouges in the wood of the cab or playfield. So yeah any cutting of wood I do I always keep the saw dust as it is handy in other things. :)
When you were mixing the wood and resin it reminded me of making cornflake cakes with the kids... 😂 They turned out amazing! Would love to see them with the bonsai tree in there. Thanks for another great video Steve! ❤
I want that blue bowl for my kitchen table. I want to keep fruit (that needs to be peeled..) in something like that. It is beautiful. Did I miss where he said he got the molds? I checked the description and the molds aren't listed. I never miss a video. I think Steve makes us feel like we are all hanging out with him in his studio and it is so much fun! Thanks Steve!
They’re in the description but it looks like they’re only available on the US site for now. Which is great if that’s where you live, but not so much here in the UK
Those turned out really wonderful! The mold itself is really great. I love how the bowl turns out! I also think it is really wonderful that Let's Resin puts the measurement on the mold. That is so helpful!
Those are lovely bonsai pots and the way you made the holes was very clever. I liked them both and think they would look amazing potted up. Your ideas for things to make with resin are always really interesting and ingenious.
Mr Steve, I absolutely adore this! Just to let you know I have to try this now. So you made me do this,😂, I have sent off for the mold and everything I need, and I will be doing this on my channel. It will not look as good as yours I'm sure, but I'm still going to try. I love everything you do and I hope to see you continue doing it. God bless.❤
Also, gotta say, what a great way to make your resin go further Steve. Was wondering could you add chunky gold glitter to the wood one? I presume because of the wood in the mix the chunky glitter wouldn't have issues with sinking etc?
Not all let's resin molds have the amount, I got the 3 style coaster set and none of them nor paperwork has the amount stamped on it unfortunately. But I've been using a sharpie and writing on the outside of the mold how much it took so it's easy to mix next time. Love how these came out! Stunners! Great video as always! 🤗❤
Those turned out really cool. FYI your auto it getting some spikes/squeaks anytime you add any force to your voice when in your mask. IDK if that is something everyone can hear but it give me a bit of headache and I have to skip past them. You tend to do a really good job with the sound in your videos so I figured you'd like to know.
What about a round suction cup instead to make the hole? I’ve bought tiny ones for contact lenses I want to use for pendants, but a bigger size must be even easier
Steve I’ve just watched a really old video of yours, I was looking for was an old video on how to make a hole in pendants and attach the things to put a chain/tie on them. I’m sure you have such a video, can you tell me what it is or any chance you can do a video on it. I’ve got lots of left over resin bits I could make into pendants but they have no hole. Can you help please? Ta heaps. PS I tried this (sawdust/paper) last night but used aquarium stones, looks great. Ta Steve. 🥰
The one with the saw dust looks like a cheesecake pie shell! These are so cool! I have a question though…. Is the resin safe for plants growing in those? Or would using a food safe resin be best to make these? These are just so cute!
Hello I’m new to your Channel but absolutely loving you and all your wonderful makes and advice. I have a question for you and hope you don’t mind me asking you . I recently lost my beautiful beloved dog and I truly wish to make a necklace from resin with some of her ashes in so I can keep her close to my heart till I depart this world to be reunited with her as she was my world and I am unsure which UV resin to use and how to make it as perfectly as I can . I am not into big jewellery but I would like a tear drop shape with some of her hair and ashes in . I know it’s not the nicest of topics to speak about but any advice and help would be so greatly appreciated. Her name was Daisy and she was deaf but she felt everything and heard everything in her own way and she was the best of the best . Thank you in advance and I live in the UK . Sorry if ready this it has upset anyone .
I bought a Let's Resin jar mould with lid the other day and it doesn't have any measurement markings on it, whatsoever - neither on the base or the lid. Does that indicate that it's a fake, would you say? You've said in several videos that they ALWAYS have the amount of resin they take on the side but not so here.
Did you buy it from let’s resin website? Some of their older stock may not have had measurements on them. They have been putting them on for a long time now.
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts It was, yes - my only suspicion was that the package was all torn open. But it is shiny inside so the chances of it being a fake seem highly unlikely. I was just curious because of your comment but I understand that if nobody bought that mould for a while it could be old stock. Haven't used it yet but in every other way it looks good. I nearly went blind screwing my eyes up trying to see any measurements somewhere on the side of it! 🤣🤣Thanks for clarifying.
Actually, I just retrieved the torn box and that shows that although I bought it from the Let's Resin website, it shows that it was dispatched from APEX CE SPECIALISTS LTD in Manchester, and it is also stamped 'UK | REP', so I can definitely imagine them having that particular mould from quite a while ago. Not complaining - it was just a mystery with the wrapping ripped open and the mold halves outside the torn open box. Probably got snagged on something in transit.
@@alcg3981 Thanks. I did that and when I got a reply they confirmed and told me that they would improve the packaging to prevent it happening again. It only affected the opening experience in that everything was torn open but the mould itself is fine, They are good moulds and it won't stop me buying them.
I like their moulds and pigments a lot, but I also use other products in the video and mention my kit. If a video is sponsored I always say so and thank the sponsors at the beginning and end of the video.
They look wonderful and thank you for the giggle with your double entendre 😂 ❤
I wondered if anyone else noticed that... 😂
OMG I was NOT expecting this. They both turned out so beautiful!!!

They did turn out fantastic. I like the natural bowl, it will look great with the bonsai tree in it. ❤❤
When you were mixing the wood and resin it reminded me of making cornflake cakes with the kids... 😂 They turned out amazing! Would love to see them with the bonsai tree in there. Thanks for another great video Steve! ❤
I was thinking it looks like a cheesecake pie shell! lol but the cornflakes is more accurate!
Neat idea for bonsai pots - and funky use of wood shavings. Love it
I love watching you be free with messy crafting. I’m all for hands in (with gloves off lol) xx
little bun feet would be cute for a bonsai . Maybe a water tray to match too . love it .
We should start a game of innuendo bingo with your vids, Steve.. 😂😂 Love these bowls. ❤
I love the sawdust one it's a perfect golden colour.

Pretty sure he said it came from Lets Resin because he mentioned that all their molds have the quantity of resin needed 😉💕
He said let’s resin xxx
The link is in the description xx

Oh, Steve, I just LOVE these bowls!! 💕😍❤ Just so cool! 😊👍 For planters, maybe you could make matching catch-plates to put under them?
Lovely pieces! I especially love the look of the different textures. That's so cool. ✌️❤️🤣 peace, love and happiness

Those are awesome🎉
Love them but the blue steals the show 😊
I love them both. Can you put food in them? I know nothing about resin.
Those are cool.

Question: won’t the wood chips scratch the silicone mold?
Omg I lOVE these!❤

Note to self: Don't watch Steve's videos when I'm drinking or when my mind is in the gutter... 😂😂😂
Loved how the sawdust one turned❤. The paper one was cool too but the sawdust was my favorite. Great job in both!
