Quick cheater way to do a button to make a wrist smaller: Sandwich a loop of elastic (or a hair elastic because they come in pretty colors) in the seam then add a button. It'll create a little pleat when buttoned...and if you don't like it-snip off the elastic and button
I tried Arctic Fox Poseidon (on unbleached hair) a while ago. The color was lovely but barely lasted one wash before being completely gone. :(( Did you (or someone you know) have better luck? I'm honestly super curious.
So while Arctic Fox's dyes are good (I've used them a lot in the past) the owner's a pos and abuses her animals, so I personally don't like to support her brand anymore. I can recommend punky color, manic panic (OG scene kid, I know), and adore from personal use, I've heard mixed things about Lunar Tides, and while I've heard Lime Crime's colors are good, I'm not a fan of the brand due to their past controversies even though their founder, the source of most of them, isn't part of the company anymore.
@@savdebunnies Temporary colors usually don't stay as well on undamaged/unbleached hair, but you can do a few things to help. Washing your hair once a week, using cool water (doesn't have to be freezing), sulfate free shampoo (I like Ion since they're affordable), and a colored shampoo or conditioner. For the conditioner, you can either mix a bit of the dye into a white conditioner or get one in the same color. Punky color, cleanditoner, and viral colorwash's products have all worked well for me!
I'm jumping on the bandwagon with my opinion of the blue hair. It looks so good on you. It would be a better world if it was possible to be born with it. Plus, you twirl so good! Love everything about this project.
"a modicum of practicality" = what I've been trying to tell myself as I pick the hem length for my walking skirt. 😂 Also, I LOVE the blue hair on you! #bluehairdontcare
I was also always scared to dye my hair "unnatural" colors. Last year I took the plunge and bleached my ends and honestly, it was a great decision. I LOVE it, and it makes photos of my costumes look so cool! I use semipermanent dye, so I can change the colors pretty easily, and avoid too much damage to my hair. Go for it, lady!
I love this it’s just so sparkly and swishy. You could never buy something like this or as beautifully made from any shop..Looks cool with the blue hair too 🥰
Love the bodice! The blue hair with bangs looks really great on you but you have to decide ahead of time how much time you want to devote to bleaching and colour upkeep, fashion colours fade quickly. And I would get it done at a salon for the healthiest hair and most even colour. I've literally had hair in every colour of the rainbow and it is a lot of work, time, and money... just like sewing.💙
So I might have a tiny to much gene but I would absolutely wear the full outfit for everyday wear Blue hair looks amazing on you (it is very hard to keep vibrant tho - it dades super duper fast)
I think the costume came out beautifully and I do like the blue hair on you. Goes well with your eyes. I liked the editing that you did on the reveal part of the video. Very unique and I liked how you would 'just appear' in various places. Can't wait to see the hat too! Congrats!
I hope you get as much use - or at least as much enjoyment - out of the bodice as you do the skirt! Blue hair is always a good choice for a fantasy outfit! Also I like the way it curls.
Me, too -- I LOVE the blue hair on you! The entire outfit is wonderful. I loved the separates looks. The hat for the video is actually a lovely change up from the usual pointy hat, as if you are a cottagecore witch. lol
Gorgeously spooky/magical reveal! I love the outfit (and the hair!) and also how all that purple-y blue stood out against the trees, like you were somehow slipping away from another dimension.
I kinda like the blue hair on you too!!! Also love the fact you made this separates. It adds so much versatility to your wardrobe!!! Everything looks so lovely!!! Ps I’m still shuttering about the glitter!!! It really never ever goes away!!! It will be there forever now!
I absolutely LOVE the blue hair on you! I was also too nervous for a long time to do "weird" colours, but I finally decided (at 42!) that it's only hair and can be re-dyed if I hate it. I now have lime green, electric blue, and lavender hair and it's SO fun. Life's too short not to try fun stuff!
I love the reveal and am even more excited for saturdays hat video! The hat you are wearing in this reveal is so dang nice with this outfit and blue hair!
I think this is my favorite of the skirt/bodice combos you've made! It's adorable, as always, a joy to look at, and just so delightfully swooshy! Also, I feel, since they're separate, they can still be worn any time of the year when you're in a spooky mood
I must say this whole outfit looks good on you-including the bangs and the hair color! I would suggest making the top in other fabrics, as it looks very flattering on you. Great work!
This is gorgeous, and I love the blue hair! Can relate to being too scared to dye your hair though! I'm also a redhead, and I always worry the colour won't be the same when it grows back if I bleach it or dye it. Also, to eliminate seams meeting and forming a weird point, make sure they meet at a right angle, with the lower edge staying at this right angle for about a centimetre/ 3/8" if that makes sense.
OK the outfit and the hair are awesome. I can't wait to see the hat. BUT I also think it could be really cool if you made a black lacey cover for the parasol.
Blue hair looks amazing on you and I love the separates!
Thank you!
I agree this is such a cute look for her I love it so much 😭😭😭
I'm not sure what I love more: the dress or the fact that you used 'Danse Macabre' for the reveal
💜🕸🖤🕸💜🕸🖤🕸💜
Thank you! It's one of my favorite spooky tunes! ☺️
@@LadyRebeccaFashions same!

Great notion
That’s genius!
The blue hair does suit you, as does the cut. It frames your face beautifully. Definite Stevie Nicks vibes going on here.
Blue is such a good look on you, try going with Arctic Fox's Poseidon Blue, that would also fade beautifully 😁

as someone who tried blue hair for the first time this year, I think blue is underrated.
I'm jumping on the bandwagon with my opinion of the blue hair. It looks so good on you. It would be a better world if it was possible to be born with it. Plus, you twirl so good! Love everything about this project.

Yes, the blue hair looks really good on her!
top of your bare feet at the front is best, so you don't catch the hem on your toes.
@@KaloCheyna good tip!
Love the direction you went with the sleeves! Such a practical way to have plenty of volume
Love the blue hair and the bangs look great on you. Green would look pretty too.

Blue is you girl!
😍😍😍
The sleeves
The hair
The belt

I need it all!
Witchy glam with a princess twirly skirt and glitter. Aaaah! 😍
I haven’t even watched this yet and I’m already in LOVE with this on you!! The blue hair, the witchy dress, the skull… STUN!!!!
The skirt has exactly the right amount of swoosh and I LOVE the boots!
I do like the blue on you. Lovely outfit.
The outfit looks fantastic on you. How practical as well, even the bodice with a black skirt would look like dynamite.
I love this it’s just so sparkly and swishy. You could never buy something like this or as beautifully made from any shop..Looks cool with the blue hair too 🥰

I could watch you make fall / spooky season / witchy outfits forever.
I'm so loving the blue hair on you. Not too many folks can pull off blue hair but you wear it well!!
Me, too -- I LOVE the blue hair on you! The entire outfit is wonderful. I loved the separates looks. The hat for the video is actually a lovely change up from the usual pointy hat, as if you are a cottagecore witch. lol
The blue hair is fantastic and the ensemble is glorious! Love all the floofy layers; makes the swirl of the skirt all the more enchanting!!!
The blouse came out so well! And that blue wig is tons of fun. Can't wait to see the hat that's going to match it!

Love the outfit with the plane floppy hat. The blue hair really finishes it.
Looks great! Good idea to make separates as well. I loved your choice of music for the reveal! Can't hardly wait for Saturday!
Love it all, but the hair, boots, and buckle are the icing on the cake!
You just crack me up. The skull at the "reveal." :) Love the dress.
Love the blue hair! The dress separates are great as you can wear them in so many ways. And you should. They turned out so cute.
The separates look fantastic. The blue hair is awesome. Well done.
Oooh, nice swirl in the skirt! Yes, go for the blue hair! Now if one could only find a purple broom...🤔
The blue hair looks amazing. Changes your whole look!
You always do such as good job of explaining how you analyze a mock-up. It has helped me so much with my own sewing. You are our Good Witch! Bravo.
Gorgeously spooky/magical reveal! I love the outfit (and the hair!) and also how all that purple-y blue stood out against the trees, like you were somehow slipping away from another dimension.
The blue wig looks great on you! I love how the seperates turned out. Having veritile pieces is always great!
Looks wonderful! Thanks for the Saint-Saëns, too -- perfect accompaniment to your video and one of my favorite pieces 🎵
The purple makes the dress took very witchy it's a great dress well done
Loving the blue hair! The cut and color would look amazing.
Such a fun look! The choice of accessories really complemented the 'dress'.
The blue hair is super cute!

This might be my favorite! Proportions are PERFECT .
Absolutely darling! You are having way too much fun..... looking forward to your hat. Love the hair.
Making them as separates was such a good idea, but at the same time, the complete ensemble looks stunning.
Love it! With a witch hat and a broom, it is gonna be great! Looks like a real movie costume! Great workmanship and I love your sense of creativity
This is amazing, it looks so good! You rock that hair!!

It came out so adorable!! And I love it with the blue hair!
Was pureeing pumpkin while I watched! Love the blue, you should totally go for it.

Separates was a good call, for sure!
Oh my goodness you look adorable in that haircut, and I even like it in the blue
So pretty! I love it thank you so much for sharing. I also love the blue hair, what a fun wig!
Beautiful. I would personally wear that skirt as part of my everyday outfit, albeit with a black top and leggings.
OK the outfit and the hair are awesome. I can't wait to see the hat. BUT I also think it could be really cool if you made a black lacey cover for the parasol.
Love the dress and blue definitely suits you. You should go for it.
Go blue looks so good on you! love the outfit
