- A “Lone Ranger” send-up, issued on the 45 flip side of Freberg’s previously-posted Jackie Gleason spoof “The Honey-Earthers”
CD audio, originally issued on 45rpm: Capitol 3138 - The Lone Psychiatrist (Freberg-Butler-Larkin-Calvelli) by Stan Freberg and Daws Butler, featuring June Foray, orchestra conducted by Billy May
I heard and treasure a lot of Freberg's work, but somehow missed this one. Thanks for posting.
I've been a Freberg fan for 40+ years, and I've never heard this single!
Thank you. Thought I'd never hear this again. I checked UA-cam every 5 years or so for this - and then suddenly here it is!
You're most welcome....glad that you found it here.
Learned this on a teacher training camp in Anglsey Wales in the 70's as a young teen
Always loved this one, but I always thought they missed a good gag: The Lone Psychiatrist and his faithful sidekick Kimo-Therapy! Stan, it wrote itself!! 🤣🤣
This was remade somewhat on his CBS Radio show in 1957 as "The Lone Analyst." So was "The Honey-Earthers."
First time I've ever heard that recording.
