The one thing that no one is addressing is that FedEx shouldn't be sending drivers out to deliver overlarge packages by themselves. The driver should have had another FedEx employee assisting her.

Those packages are not over large, they are simple to deliver using a dolly by someone that is actually capable of doing the job that they are hired to do.

No one else is responsible for her lack of professionalism... They do not work for the delivery company. FedEx informs you to stay away from the drivers as they perform their duties. Some deliveries are deemed undeliverable due to various circumstances. Find the one that fits.... note the account... move on. We'll gladly try tomorrow... this was her delivery area... most likely she will be in that same zipcode for months... the package is paid for. I betcha they will clear a path next time...

@CargoPilotGuy She makes a lame "apology" with excuses for her bad behavior. If the job is too physical for her - or you - get an office job. I can't believe someone interviewed her and hired her. FedEx needs to up their hiring and interviewing standards.

People are allowed to get upset. It’s not like she was violent. She messed up and said something stupid but she shouldn’t be immediately fired over it. The reason she IS being fired is because society has become so overly sensitive. It’s these people who sit on their computers all day and never leave the house who look to report every little thing that happens that they don’t like.
A lot of people in this comments section are like that. Get over yourselves already.

As a mailman who deals with a lot of Amazon packages I can understand the frustration of the Fedex driver. I have also had customers just stand and watch me struggle with packages. However, I realize that it is NOT their job to come help me. It is my job to get their packages to the front door whether I have help or not. Having a bad attitude like she did is not in anyway going to help the situation. Plus she doesn't know the physical capabilities of the customers. From the voice alone she didn't sound like she would be much help. And even if there were men there maybe they have recently had surgery of something. You never know. Just look at the bright side. At least their ordering of packages keeps you with a job. I tell some of my customers that order a lot--- "Thank you for single-handedly keeping us in business" 😁

I was a FedEx Express Swing driver for 16 years. I’ve had numerous run-ins with hostile customers and disgruntled customers. Don’t argue with them. Do your job and go. You don’t get paid to argue or take abuse from customers. People feel this need to waste time and air arguing with a customer who has no idea what you’re going through, or how FedEx works, but they blame the courier all the time…In this case however, the courier was completely out of line and committed several terminable offenses. You can disagree with a customer, but you cannot make racist or belligerent remarks, and you definitely cannot intentionally mishandle packages. If a customer was sensible and voiced a concern, I would help them, but if the customer wanted to argue and act hostile, then I would tell them to call customer service, and I would move on to my next stop. Your manager and customer service get paid to deal with angry customers, not the courier. Attempt to deliver the package and move on.

Ppl are told to go to their countries or place of origin every day, and others shouldn't make such a big stink about every little thing. There is no excuse for what this driver did. I delivered for Amazon for a season. It doesn't matter if they had every square inch of their driveway covered. Delivery vehicles such as FedEx and UPS and Amazon are specifically instructed to not pull on to people's driveways. The biggest reason is typically they are fleet trucks that leak fluids and would do so on a customer's driveway. It is standard practice to park the truck on the curb and carry the packages to the doorstep. That's literally what you have to do at every single stop. It's not the customer's responsibility to help you do your job. If you don't like the fact that you have to carry some heavy packages to doorsteps then get another job because that is literally the main function of your job description.

When you go to the stores today you don't get hellos, Thank you, have a nice day etc. The workers just want you out. They act as if they're doing you a favor by serving you. Most of them have an bad attitude from the start. They give you your change back after a purchase and say nothing., then I say "YOU'RE WELCOME" They don't understand, without the costumer they don't get paid. I feel for that delivery driver. 100%. However, being in a job, you have to maintain professionalism. You have to bite your tongue, and just finish what is required of your job and keep going. Especially in this day and age where everyone is quick to throw their phones and film you, you have to build up on your strength mentally and physically.
Honestly, if I were her, though, I would have just kept my mind focused on delivering the packages. And although that gave her no right to throw a racist slur, the lady filming should also put into consideration that the delivery driver is not her personal delivery person, and they deliver long hour shifts to many places. All it takes is one inconvenience to really throw someone off. Delivery driving can be very fun in terms of meeting different people, but it also can be so stressful. And with the holidays coming up, the stress and pressure to get packages out on time is heightened.
Again, the delivery driver needs to just learn more about being professional, even if you are not at fault. You have to just do the job and get out of there. You are going to work with people you hate, and you are going to deal with people that may frustrate you, but you gotta hold it together. Because now she exploded at that customer, and that video is now viral, it will be very hard for her to find a new job.

Yes, i would have . You , me and i am sure a million other people would probably have felt bad for her and helped her. Not everyone is gonna do that or feel the same.
