I love the Flying Raft, especially in other maps. Currently using one as a mobile mini base that I park outside of caves when I go Artifact and Loot hunting at caves, got me a bed, bunk bed, a storage bin with backup gear, and a preserving bin for spare edibles like Health Brews and Cooked Meat.

Linked Storage Box is the Best on the Zeplin! I moved my base alone just bed jumping between the bed on the Zeplin and my Base placing everything in the Linked Storage. anything in the box has no weight on the Zeplin. I now park my zeplin abovey farm spots and toss everything in the Shared Storage for fast transfer. One thing. Repairing the Zeplin sucks. There needs to be an easy pull repair Resources.
I used sloped triangle roofs to extend the back ramp and make it wrap around fully, put a couple hatches and sealed it off underneath. This gave me a closed room with a bed, smithy, mortar and pestal, forge and water tank. Slapped a plant z up top to keep nameless away and I still have 4 structure slots left. I do like my cheap hover skiff.
Just watch where you land it though, the bed will be underground depending on the terrain and you won't be able to spawn in it. It's simple to work around once you get it and yes the bed works if it's still in the air as well. It's the best I could come up with that tiny structure limit.
Wait just a dang minute! You were able to put a X plant on board? I would like to know how since I have tried, but no luck. Oh, wait, you said Z plant like in the video. Dang, I don't have those seeds.
I haven’t reached the stage for the zeppelin or stopwatch yet and watching this gave me the idea, depending on the range of the stopwatch, park the zep just out of the rad zone, glide down to grab a drake egg and stopwatch out. Just a thought.

I enjoy your how-to posts very much! But you and other popular posters have gotten one thing wrong. The Zep will run on other things besides gasoline! Press "E" open inventory and use the drop down menu to pull items. There you will see items like wood, sparkpowder, fugal wood. All of these items will work for fuel! On a map where oil is rare this is important.
With vanilla settings it's very limited. However... you can build an extended enclosed box covering the driver and 3 ceilings length Infront of him. Then, you can do surface drops clipping into the drops themselves or on resources, landing. Get off, pick up or harvest while in the box and nothing aggros on you! Just try it
During a 90% night you have plenty of time between 14:30 and 11am for uninterrupted runs as long as you time it right so you don't get caught in the sun.
The crouch and prone buttons also control the elevation up and down without moving the camera. Wild card may have removed it until they fix it but it also has some key bound to control it's spot lights. Only reason I know about the lights is when driving it if you held R it would pull up the wheel with an option to disable or enable lights but that's been removed for now
I made an armoured zeppelin that kept out rock drakes and I had a friend pilot it while me and another jumped off with cosmos and swung back up after getting eggs. It was super fun but you can only do it on your own world (infinite stats on the zeppelin)

There is a waterfall drop down on the way down to the rock drake eggs. That area has no radiation so you can fly down there with thel zeppelin. Saves a long trip back. Nameless can bury themselves in the zeppelin and come out when there is no charge light. They are good for getting your first quez.
I've already builted, and to be honest, it looks really fun. It's basically like in early version of the hover skift, which, to be honest, I don't mind that the blimp is actually a really fun to use. Around, it's kind of like a raf in the sky
Im not sure if it's a bug or it's intended but if you hold W + X+ Shift and point your camera in 3rd person from top in about 45 degree Zeppelin starts flying quite fast. Same works for going down with C instead of X. Doesnt work for going straight. You have to go up or down for it to work.
Look at how far the radioactive fuel rods melted through the steel and concrete floors at Chernobyl and you'll think about that zep taking damage a bit differently.
I guess having someone man the zep away from the rad zone while another uses a stopwatch to teleport them back after they took a Rockdrake egg could be a thing.
Hmmmm mixed feelings, I think it should be free to everyone like the raft and motorboat are for all maps. I'm a solo pvp player with no support network and this would be a great help like the raft and motorboat were.
I still cant believe this, flying Steampink ships in Aberration makes no sense at all at least the scorched earth dlc was thematic ok with the wild west thin but this is just wtf. The stopwatch etc...
I feel like steampunk fits Aberration rather well, especially given the boss is a mutated Victorian scientist. What other aesthetic do you think the Bob's Tall Tales DLC should have gone with for that map?
the structure limit is just irritating, i wonder if anybody is going to make bob's tail mods like a s+ version of them? i would imagine you could change structure limit in settings for unofficial
The zeplins really good for solos I'm glad it's not turret capable. Think of it tho if bases lasted longer and raiding wasn't so easy and we COULD fly around on these with turrets n death turtels man this game would be a different animal like gta5 with dinos. I definitely think they should try other servers list with bigger maps and everything switched on the ON position. Let the players decide how to play this game give us stronger bases n death quets I'm ready. Shit give it a hell divers feel and make ai take over parts of the map for crazy loot there's many ops
That may not be on WildCard. Consoles require certification process and that takes time. If certification fails for some reason it's gonna take even more time. PC doesnt have that requirement.

They haven't even acknowledged the problem, let alone posted about when it will be fixed, or any timeline to do so. My guess is that this is going to stick around like the floating rocks that have been in the game since day 1.

There’s a limited range and the stop watch doesn’t reach that far it’s only the same range as generator

If you use the visual storage mod, the drop box has no wait limit. Thatch seems the easiest thing to run a zep.

I use spark powder it's a lot easier to get and it works really well for it

I can see some floodlights in the model, but I have been unable to switch them on. Is that possible at all, or are they just for aesthetics?

Not an option so far with the auto landing programming. Even extending the ladders doesn't seem to keep it up.
I'm thinking a Morellatops would be the best way to irrigate the zep.
I feel like there's some missed opportunity to not have some kind of system that uses the Zip-Line Motor inbuilt into the zeppelin

That may not be on WildCard. Consoles require certification process and that takes time. If certification fails for some reason it's gonna take even more time. PC doesnt have that requirement.

It’s pointless for solo players lands itself after 3 mins so you have a window of time to do anything! Great idea but shite implementation
I am never calling the wooden skiff anything else, feel ripped off we never actually got an airship its nothing like one and kills pvp even more.
