Build your improving around c minor triads, and if you wanna get fancy - you can play diminished triad licks from the route of F over the G in the 2-5-1

Or you can substitute the D locrian scale for an F melodic scale (using the melodic IVth grade) ;)

C Minor Harmonic Scale works but you should really try half diminished D over the II chord and C harmonic minor over the V, then for the I chord you can work most modes in, Dorian works perfect, also Aeolian, and of course Minor Harmonic Scale

Pourquoi sur les degrés V on joue un accord 7 alors que dans l'harmonisation des accords on trouve un mineur 7?
Salut !
En théorie le V mineur est effectivement mineur 7 mais dans la pratique on décide un peu arbitrairement de transformer le mineur 7 en accord 7, afin de conserver la notion de Tension -> Résolution qui ici essaye d'imiter celle présente dans la gamme majeure, en l’occurrence le mouvement V (dominante) -> I (tonique).
C'est ainsi qu'une gamme mineure dite naturelle qui est normalement composée des intervalles: 1 2 b3 4 5 b6 b7 va être transformée en gamme mineure harmonique, dont les intervalles sont : 1 2 b3 4 5 b6 et enfin la 7ème qui devient majeure au lieu d'être mineure. Si on tente maintenant d'harmoniser cette nouvelle gamme (à savoir la mineure harmonique), on se rend compte que le V est 7 !
Exemple: en Do, cela donne: C D Eb F G Ab B et si on harmonise le V, on aura G B D F, donc un accord de G7, donc bien un accord de dominante, et le I serait C Eb G B, soit un accord de Cmineurmajeur7, donc bien un accord de tonique, donc la volonté de respecter la notion de dominante qui se résout sur une tonique est respectée.
Dans les faits, en jazz on utilise pas la gamme mineure harmonique (= 1 2 b3 4 5 b6 7) mais on utilise généralement la gamme mineure mélodique (= 1 2 b3 4 5 6 7) pour des raisons esthétiques ou de choix personnels du musicien, mais ça a eut pas mal le vent en poupe dans les années 50 ou 60, dont l'emploi a été popularisé par des types comme Bill Evans.
L'important à retenir c'est que comme pour la gamme mineure harmonique, la gamme mineure mélodique dispose également d'un accord 7 sur le V, permettant également le mouvement de dominante sur la tonique.
Voila donc pourquoi on utilise en pratique un accord 7 en mineur, enfin à ma connaissance ! Si d'autres personnes ont d'autres ou de meilleures explications je suis ouvert à la discussion :)

@@contactkeithstack the Ab aug probably wouldn’t work well as you have that E over a Dm7b5 which is a natural 9. Ab triad might be a better choice which gives a flat 9 over the Dm7b5, more I keeping with the Cm tonality
@@contactkeithstack the B aug over the G7 works since you have B-Eb-and G which are the third , flat 13 and root in G7. I assume you would be parking Cm and not Dm over the Cm
