No, we have to show strength to dictator by supporting the Ukraine so that ends his dreams of expanding his invasion of Europe beyond the boarders of the Ukraine. If Putin takes over the Ukraine then decides to attack Poland because he thinks NATO is weak that is when will all be in serious trouble. While Putin is bogged down in a proxy war in the Ukraine or if he loses that proxy war the chances of WW3 are much diminished. More people are dying in D.R. Congo 6.000.000 people sor far. This should be the priority😢. More than 30 years of war and atrocities.
I'm sad to say that I think most people here in Europe and North-America (the "West") have just given up on Africa. Since independence from the harsh colonial rule, there's been almost non-stop war and suffering on the whole African continent. Even the end of apartheid only made things worse in South Africa and Rhodesia. Other nations in Africa have taken away the land of all white people and Indians, only to make the land rot away and the knowledge used to keep it valuable to vanish. I don't write these things with any bad intentions, but I think Africa needs revolution from the bottom and up, having solutions for Africa, made by Africans in an African method, for the good of Africa. The Western world I'm sure make many things only worse, and there's a constant "brain-drain" where well educated people turn their back to their people in Africa, and so with their actions clearly have the same feeling of no hope for their ancestral land and brethren.
At least by keeping the front line in the Ukraine, against the ravaging and madness of the Russians, we help keep alive unknown numbers of people in Africa as well, and staying a safe haven for those in need of somewhere safe to flee when all law and order fall down elsewhere. It's a historical fact, that when the whole of Europe becomes enveloped in war, then soon the rest of the world start burning as well. The black soil earth of Ukraine and in large parts of USA, is keeping alive billions of people, allowing bread and life instead of famine and war, like the famines in Ethiopia in the 80's and the genocide in Rwanda in the early 90's.
I recommend reading "King Leopold's Ghost - A Story of Greed, Terror, and Heroism in Colonial Africa" by Adam Hochschild, if you want to understand the roots of how deeply the problems of the Congo. I think the problems lie both in the vast size, the problems of keeping infrastructure, the enormous mineral wealth, outside influences, leading to inside corruption and decay. Congo was made to be a land of suffering and haven't had peace since it was divided up in enormous amounts of tribal cultures, with local strong men. So if it is to stay within the hopelessly large borders it currently have, the outside corrupting forces have to be kept outside, by arms if needed, and the inside, learned people and those with will and ability to do good, to be kept inside.
That's my thoughts as a non-Congolese with interest in and yet this lack of hope for the people of Congo and Africa in general.

It's not a very unlikely scenario given the importance energy have in the world and the enormous thirst specially Americans have for oil.

How much do we need to send. We sent so much with little to no results. There have been no gains on the Ukraine side. The counter offensive was smashed before it even started. It's not that we don't want to support Ukraine it's we are not getting results that we thought we would be getting.

I'm a great critic of the USA but even I will say that the part the USA played in WW2 was heroic, glorious and beneficial for humanity. The difference here is the people in Eastern Ukraine were fighting against the Zelensky regime since 2014 for independence and asked for Russia's help. Putin tried to negotiate a settlement since 2015 (Minsk 1 and 2), but Ukraine never implemented it, even though they signed the agreements, along with the guarantors being Germany and France.

In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas.
If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy.
Zelensky, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements.
Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Hint: someone visited Zelensky in Kiev at that time.
Russia's national security was compromised once nato began to expand eastwards. Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining nato was a red line (November 2021) and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. The Russians openly stated: if nothing changes, we will be forced to act in order to defend our national security. Enhancing the national security of one country at the expense of another is unacceptable. The Russians have legitimate security concerns.

Russia held a proposed cease fire in order for the civilians to leave, but azov would not allow the civilians to leave.

The first terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed the truck driver and the individuals in the adjacent car (innocent civilian victims).

I totally agree. Putin have almost followed the exact same "plot" as Hitler before him. Just like Nazi-Germany first took over their own population by Hitlerism, then took back control over the Rhineland, when France was superior in military strength, then Austria and was given the Sudetenland in trade for "peace", only to continue with taking Czechoslovakia and not getting any military resistance until a massive war-machine was built up and going into Poland.
The same way Putin first started with the same gradual dictatorial rule, deceit and theft and murder, then went merciless against separatists/freedom-fighters in Chechnya, then Georgia, then Crimea, supporting civil wars in Syria and in Africa, building up the military that had been decaying since the end of the Soviet Union, along with a war-chest making sanctions virtually pointless. And not being taken seriously and the hostile, authoritarian, militarism challenged until a full on invasion of the whole of the Ukraine.
And similarly as Napoleon before, the start of the downfall didn't start before he over-extended, over-expanded and went for global domination instead of consolidating and using the many victories to make France stronger then ever before, and later generations to continue expansion.
The end of these authoritarian figures only seem to end when they get murdered, die, commit suicide or get put in exile for life, somewhere so far away, and so well guarded that escape is impossible. In the case of Russia it seem to me that the end of Putin can only realistically end by a similar death and because of the danger of nuclear war, murder only from the inside. He can't give up the power he have without his life, wealth and security for his family the same time. So the only thing to do from the outside is to continue to send in ever increasing numbers, weapons and ammunition and whatever other materials Ukraine need.

Zelensky is a leader similar to Churchill, and have been a sorely needed voice of bravery and anything good we claim to stand for, after decades of isolationism and defeatism, and a moral decay, despite the most enormous material well being then at any time before in human history. If I had been 20 years younger and with health as a normal man, I'd be seriously considering traveling to the front and taking part of the battle against a power that seek to undermine the future of those closest to me, my countrymen and fellow brethren of Europe.
