Thanks for the video explaining the difference. DO35 definitely seems to be the way to go! Good filming and editing, also love the shorts mate, they looks fancy
A lot of utes have compliance issues with a 50mm ball there is a legal requirement that once you are hitched up, you need measure from ground level to centre of ball and it cannot exceed 460mm. We are about to change ours over to DO35 as we sit at 620mm to centre once hitched up with van
Good review, but you got to mention the DO35 comes with an excellent Handbrake, I would have put more emphasis on the lock down Cap as it is an excellent safety feature , I have made the mistake of forgetting to lock down a 50mm ball type and had the boat trailer come off in my driveway. I am now on my 2nd DO35 , wouldn’t use anything else..
Hi there mate thanks for another great video. Quick question is there an easier way to tighten the 50mill tow ball?? I see how the other tow bar has a tightening spanner but it’s so difficult to hold the 50mill tow ball so I was wondering if you have an easier way. Cheers 🍻
In the past I have used a pair of Stilsons or a pair of multi grips to hold the base of the ball but these tools have a tendency to mark the base. The other option is to use a rag or glove and hold the ball while doing up the nut. Cheers!
Another great video Sep, Great setup for filming, well thoughtout.
Excellent👍👍👍
Thanks Ken, appreciate your comment, looking forward to your next one. Cheers!

I wonder how many people are out there towing vans that do not know of this rule, probably heaps. Thanks for your comment. Cheers!

I’m glad you pointed that out it’s something I should have mentioned. Thanks for your comment. Cheers!
