- ⋆Wild Horse Islands is the most popular Roblox Horse game...and I don't like it. But I want to! Despite playing this game a handful of times, I have never felt the urge to play it continuously. I knew I couldn't give the game the light of day it needed in my regular videos, it would take me sitting down and trying to properly play the game to start this journey...can I learn to LOVE Wild Horse Islands?⋆

Hey! So things that someone has to say (sorry if someone has already said it)
1.Try to catch horses and level up and unlock the islands/lassos!!
2. Try to find your favorite breed/foal at the "Breeding Center" on the map of Mainland to increase your inventory
3. There are always so-called "events" in wild horse islands. The next one will be the "spring event" trying to get the event horses/the event accessories and have fun
4. You are allowed to sell all the horses, no problem! Nobody has anything to say about it But watch out for horses with a colorful mane/bright mane and when you catch them and the chat says "------ Has caught a Leafy/Icey/Neon/Emerald/Diamond/Cowprint Quarter Horse /Paint Horse/Fjord/Fri/Arab/Clydesdale/Mawari" That means you have it. It is one of the rarest horses in the game. Find out what it is worth first before you trade
5. Level your horses on the training island or (I think this is good for starters) or buy the levels
6. In Mainland there are so-called special quests where you can unlock a fishing rod/racket. In Forest you can also unlock a metal detector and per quest you earn 1-2 "quest points" with which you earn inventory space (every 10 quest points +1 inventory Place!)
7. On Volcano Island/Royal/Training you can give things for Acsessories/Horses (On Royal you can only get 1 horse!) E.g. Training There are training activities there and you get 4-17 "Training Reciepts" per activity you need 100 to give in once /Royal: You can mine Relics and exchange them for Lances/Acsessories/Auras /Volcano: You can collect so-called "volcanic minerals" and give them for every 5 you get: Volcanic Chests (you can open them)/Acsessories/Horses
8.For trading, try to find out the value of certain horses. "Legacy" horses are worth more than normal ones and "Unique/Co-Breeding Unique" are worth more than legacy horses etc.
9."Island Unique Coats" You can only catch these on an island and even if you look in your inventory they say "Island Unique Coat"

Glad you could give this game a solid try! Basically the point of the game is to catch wild horses, then sell or trade them. So yes, catch as many horses as you can, then sell them for a lot of money.
You can breed horses to make crosscoats and special coats, which makes them more valuable. A crosscoat is when you take the coat color of one breed and put it on a different breed, such as an Appaloosa coat on a Friesian.
Trading is the main mechanic of the game, so hoarding stuff is a good thing. Accessories that you can put on your horse are also decently valuable which you can trade them. The horse you rode through most of the video is pretty valuable, i woud not recommend trading that V1 clyde until you get a bigger stock of horses. The most valuable horses are IUH's, island unique hairs. These horses have special mane and tails and are extremely rare to find. Be careful of scams though, they are rampant right now.
You can also decorate your private island, which is like your Star Stable home stable, and you can sell stuff in your own personal market.
Growing apple trees is the best way to level up quickly, so definitely recommend getting started with those. My good friend and fellow WHI content creator Georgia Bluefield taught me that trick
Finally, events in the game are a major grind, but they have special event horses and accessories that are really valuable, so definitely stick around for events!

Okay, so I play this game sometimes (usually during events) and I’m not a pro by any means.
That said, here’s a few take away points.
1. The rarer breeds tend to be friesian, percheron, arabian and now marwari. Each breed has a set of colours that it can come in. Rare coats notify you in the chat box when you catch them and warn you when you go to sell them. Rarer coats can be bought at the shop (always one for robux, but often some show up for coins and it tells you in chat when and where one is being sold).
2. Coats can be transferred from one breed to another via breeding. Some coats are only obtainable from breeding different specific coats together (sometimes it has to be cobred with someone else’s horse). These are usually very low chance so an easier way is to buy off another player. This is because breeding a breed unique to breed unique has a far better chance of a foal than the initial attempt to breed it. Usually the price can be anywhere from 5k to 10k for a decently good one.
3. Then there are island unique coats. This is a rare coat that can only be caught on that island. They can also be found rarely as sold horses. These can also be bred onto different breeds even though it is always specificly on one horse originally. For instance I’ve bred my perlino andalusian with a friesian and gotten a perlino friesian.
4. Island unique hairs/horses IUH tend to refer to when someone has a horse with a special mane that shows up very rarely. Certain special manes are unique to different islands. For instance mine was a zebra stripe mane on a thoroughbred. These are highly sort after, especially when its a rarer breed.
5. Special coats (not just rare) like breeding, island and event unqiues have a little colour coded circle on the bottom right of their square in your inventory.
6. Legacy breeds are worth a lot because those are finite. There’s no way to get more so you have to rely on trading to get one. That’s a reason why your legacy clyde is considered a good horse besides the fact it has a good temperment. Legacy coats are semi-rare but not too hard to get for cheap. This is because as long as the legacy coat (old style coat of a marking that has since been updated) is on a new model it can still be bred to make more.
7. Special coats. Some are gotten from doing the quest bar of an island (training and volcanic for instance). The ones you get guarenteed from the bar progress is usually worth a mid amount because any account can get one, it just takes effort. People either sell theirs or an alt’s so its not exactly finite. Then there are the random chance ones, the reverse dapple friesian training island unique for instance. Regardless of the bar progress, you have a tiny chance of getting one. They’re non breedable and very difficult to get so are usually worth a lot.
8. Events! They usually have a progress bar like the island hand in quests that you fill up usually 3-5 quest items at a time. Each hand in will give you a random event theme item. At certain points, there is a guarentee of a pure event horse.
Pure? That’s when the mane and tail are the true default for the coat. The Chestnut Elf friesian had the Elf fade mane by default, but if caught in the wild or bought from the npc vendors for (for anything other than robux, which guarantees a pure) has a chance to be a different colour. Winter slopes akhal teke could have a white or glacier mane instead of the (pure) winter fade. Wild caught tends to be valued more than vendor bought, especially if pure.
Some event horses are finite. In that they only show up for that one event snd then they’re gone. These are some of the most prized horses ingame, especially if the event was a long time ago. You can tell because it tells you in the horse description page. For instance “Summer 2023 limited.” There’s usually 3 per event, one easier, one middle and one very difficult to get, usually a rarer breed as a base.
In comparison some event stuff show up in that event yearly, like the reindeer being “Holliday Limited” or the ghost horses being “Halloween limited” without a specific year. These are still somewhat valuable because they are usually coats that can show up on different breeds and can be quite rare, have pure versions (Deer skin with deer fade mane, vs deer skin with palomino mane) and can’t be bred.
If you want to know about a specific skin, try looking it up on the wiki. Search the breed first then scroll down to the coat section. Different tabs have details about different types of coats, from normal to breeding to event stuff.
9. Some stuff like neon flowers are quite sought after. They have a chance to grow from seeds or show up in the lunar islands.
10. Gear is usually graded by the gemstones/metals you use to make it. Prismatic and Moonstone are the top tier, with prismatic crystals coming from the volcano island (currently last island to unlock) but moonstone still being favoured for its pretty look, comparable stats, decent rarity/cost to buy from vendors, etc. Neon stuff is also valued, though I’m not the best judge here! Horseshoes come from login rewards and also offer a stat boost.
11. You probably already know but training levels can not only reach max (aka 70/70) but can usually get +3 over, or sometimes +5. You earn skill points while doing tasks and training receipts (more if you do the quest from the npc by the well). Skill points can unlock stuff like fancy riding emotes or handy things like an extra speed sprint (costs lots of stam), deeper breaths (faster stam regen), double riding (ride with friends, horse owner has to invite) or even things like faster carriage pulling (do it at a canter instead of a trot, sadly doesn’t work on training tires or logs). Receipts can be handed in for rewards.
12. Players have their own market at their private island, usually named acordingly. Tier 7 market has one horse stall and tier 8 has two. This allows players to sell their horse for coins or even hold auctions. You can find some good price horses here but be wary of overpaying.
13. Personality does matter a bit and so do stats. Stats are a little randomised with each breed having a range of possinle values for each stat. Thoroughbreds tend to be fast but with less stamina, for instance. Getting 100 in a stat is something some people look for, or the max of certain breeds (70 speed 75 stam on friesian). Right now I don’t think stats can be changed beyond training to their max. Personality can be changed with an expensive potion, bought from players for coins, bought from vendor for robux or if you get lucky and get it as a drop from the training island receipt hand ins.
Some people have different preferences, but easy-going is usually agreed to be best since it follows you like normal and doesn’t do anything bad. Clingy likes to hang around you in the pasture but beyond that seems to be ok (says it likes pets but haven’t noticed a huge difference myself). Grumpy horses do a lot of kicking/biting animations when you hang around it dismounted, but otherwise doesn’t actually cause problems. Sassy tend to buck and move a lot when riding but its only an animation and behave pretty normally otherwise. Independant means it wont follow you dismounted, which some like/dislike. Lazy and energetic means that the horse will randomly slow down or speed up while riding, which can be annoying. The worst is usually spooky, which detects a random object it highlights in red and has a fear bar that sends the horse into an uncontrolled dash around when it fills. It will run about a bit then buck you off.
You probably know a lot of this but i figured I’d just list it all in case! Ended being longer than i thought, oops…😅

Yes, u catch horses and sell them for around 100-300 dollars 1 rope id 50 so u can make a lot of profit and u repeat and eventually get lots of money, the rarer the horse u sell more the money u can get, also brown and black overo mustangs are rare etc but if u catch it will say in the chat ‘____ caught a rare horse coat (___)
Yesss trying it again!!! I LOVE WHI, I only play Roblox for it! The higher level you are the better the game is, I didn’t like it when I started but as I leveled up it got better, more islands, better horses ect! When you went to the other islands I was like “I hope you don’t find an IUH… if you don’t know what IUHS are you’ll think they are normal horses and that would be sad if you missed it” Also the stat aura you got doesn’t change the personality it’s just like an aura you get for your horse sometimes, to change your horses personality you need a personality swap potion! To gain levels one of the best ways is plant apple tree seeds before you go to sleep, harvest them in the morning and you gain loads of levels! I do recommend watching “how to” videos and just watch other people play the game! Even if it’s not tutorials just watching people play it will help you learn!

Rare horses pop up in the chat! Also, there's a chance you could get an island unique hair horse or an event horse! (Event horses can be found only during an event, island unique hairs can be caught at any time) NEVER sell those to Larry! Island unique hairs are especially rare, so i wouldn't recommend trading them/for them until you understand values!
Wild horse herds can be any breed but mainly anything but appa, qh, painthorse are the most common but anyone can catch in a herd.
There are 7 personalities available currently. You get the personality aura by catching a horse with a personality you haven’t caught yet!! You won’t get the aura if you already caught a horse with that personality. Hope this helps ❤😊
The way you turn the sound on is you click the black and white box next to the chat and go to settings in the little thingy an scroll down and click the little thing that makes that sound (Also the little herd is something that you can catch, You can also craft horse tack and acc) also your Clydesdale is a v1 theres a v2 now so you have a kind of rare horse! Loved this vid!
This game in one of my favs to play. If you enjoy collecting, a little grinding and horses, you'd love this game. There's a lot to do once you realise there's so many different breeds and so many rare coats and types out there and some types are through breeding only so there's goals you can set for yourself if you want those breed only coats.

Hii i would if you get a rare horse and you dont already have it i would keep it the catch some more basic horses such as paint horses also i would sell the fjord horse bc they give you alot of money ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
tip get to royal then mine your till your heart delight in the mine or the quarry (might have spelled wrong) you get a lot of things fast ancient artifacts (trade to i believe cal or whoever on royal for stuff) and quarts (valuable)
also join servers with less people for the tip above or get a private server
i find this game so fun and it was fun to see you slowly get sucked in just like me just over a year ago now lol
