- Premsagar Foundation started Food for people initiative 15 years ago in a remote area of Bantoli, Gumla in Jharkhand. We have a fully equipped day meal facility. Under this, We provide fresh nutritious meals for 500 underprivileged children on a daily basis in the most hygienic conditions. It has brought remarkable changes in the village as it has enabled the children to embrace mainstream society through nourishment and motivated them to harness the opportunities available outside. It is evident from their radiant smiles.
Children are performing better at their schools as it has greatly improved the attendance and they have started participating in the other activities. Now they are graduating from college. The financial condition of the parents is improved as they have to manage the food for one time only. Also, the theft cases have reduced in the area and thus it addressed a social problem as well.
