Mike! I'm sure I've been following you this long -- but this is the first time I ran into this interview. Sheesh! I'm being referred to her group via the Mind Eye Institute. TALK about going full-circle.
Really useful addition to other accessible videos/interviews. Helps understand what I'll be trekking for medical-tourism for.

Wow, best interview I've seen in a long time!! She got me to understand how an autistic child must feel. Its soo sad and soo awesome how she gets through to them, at the same time. I shed couple tears for those poor souls that can't connect with themselves. Hopefully more people learn to help each other rather than tearing each other down.

The reason animals have brains is to navigate the environment. That's the fundamental function. This is why walking and running are good exercise. It requires the navigation of terrain (and, in humans, on two legs ). This is why mindlessly walking on a treadmill (while reading, or watching tv) is probably sub-optimal exercise on several levels.
(It actually really annoys me seeing people exercising on treadmills, slowly, while watching tv. You are deadening your brain, I guarantee it).
The calorie model also has contributed to "mindless" exercise on treadmills or other cardio machines.

‘动脑’is the Chinese phrase for 'thinking', which literally means 'moving the brain'. I guess, there is some ancient wisdom in its understanding of what thinking means.

I love this. My way of thinking doesn't contain a box in which to think, or a filter. I absolutely hate the static academic learning system. Which reminds me, I need to do more research on *subliminal photography*.

Im really struggling with my grandson pulling my hair!!! Therapist suggested time outs but as a 3 yr old with special needs, I dont feel he is understanding time out. I have tried the suggested here, he does stop and look sad. But then comes right back with a harder grip!! HELP!!!

Beautiful. She had me hooked at the mention of Feldenkrais and it just got better from there.
