Hi Amy. That is not an easy pattern and you cut it very well. There is something you do that I try to teach other scrollers. You analyze the cuts you make and come up with a plan to try different techniques. That is by far the best way to learn. When you are away from the saw for a few days it is normal for it to feel a little awkward starting again. It can be helpful to warm up for 5 or 10 minutes before you start a new project. My warm-up is pretty simple. I cut straight lines and circles from the same wood I will be using for the project if possible. If you are low on that wood then use something the same thickness. Nice video.
Ya know Steve, I think this is exactly what I love about the scroll saw, there is always a variation of technique, wood, patterns, etc. It just never gets boring to me! I do appreciate your advice it certainly helps me on this journey!
This hobby is definitely a lesson in patience, which I am learning to have lol. But my love for it helps a lot! It is great to be connected with you Bryan! You will be seeing me again!
I love your comments because I can so relate. I did my first project today cutting out Steve Good’s scroll saw blade tube holder to store my blades. Thanks again for an enjoyable video. I hope I progress as fast as you have. Happy scrolling.
I glad you like my comments, I just try to be as realistic as possible when it comes to the scroll saw. All the videos out there make everything look so easy. Which is why soon after I started scrolling I knew I needed to do these videos just as it really is. My progress is not as fast as you might think but I am stubbornly determined to keep at it! Thank you so much for watching ad commenting! Hope to see you here again. I do live streams on Sat. nights at 7pm EST if you want to come say hi.
