Here I install the planking and cut it as I go. I also do some fairing and roll the boat over. The boat is ten feet long, 1 inch and a half equals 1 foot.
The Elco 80' PT boat hulls have always been my favorite hull shape. You did an amazing job on this one! That takes a lot of skill and patience. I'd love to build one 36" or 48" some time.
This is an awesome build . I just saw your build, and looking forward to the next one. Maybe it'll get me pumped up to uncover mine. It's an 80 incher, fiberglass with twin gas engines. It's been covered up in the garage for over 20 yrs. You are doing a fantastic job. PT's are one of my favorite boats. Carry on !
i hate it when your videos get over. this is incredible. nothing like watching a true craftsman at work. bravo! bring on the next one. can this be seen in person?
Thanks! I had a problem with some glue failing. When I started the project the weather was cold (shops not heated) then summer rolled in and dried everything out before I could epoxy. I am going to post some short vids to show my pain. I'm starting to get back on track now with the second layer.
Greetings...excellent job !!! I've toyed with the same idea for many years, however I was thinking 1/6 scale as to populate it with GI-Joes 😂 . I did however scratch build a 1/144 aircraft carrier that's 8 feet long. (Video on my channel)Similar construction but I really had/have no idea what I'm doing

Thanks! You should dust it off and get it going, sounds like a beast!
This is a great build, thoroughly enjoying it. I look forward to the next installment. )
Thanks Ian! I hope to post soon.
Wow! I have to watch more...that is hard core! I would have used thin veneer laminate. You re-created the two layer laminate one strip at a time...
A true craftsman

Thanks! I wasn't planing on showing it.
is this going to be radio controlled or static? having that plowing through the water would be incredible. are you building in the united states?
Undecided at this point, but plowing would be nice. I am north of the 49th in Canada.
ooh way cold. keep up the good work.
Wonderful!!!
Did you ever complete the project? Beautiful craftsmanship
What will be the final skin paint finish?
Jorge, can't wait to see the finished project keep posting, have you decided how you are going to power it?
Thanks! Me too Peter, its a tough build and I'm no where near that thought.
Do you sell down scale plans OF THIS PT BOAT Thank you Mike
Where is part 3?
Looking forward to your next video Jorge, hows it going?
