Hi Tom, I thought whistle 1 was the best sounding on the large Jinty. Re the small Jinty boiler looks like you've got a tricky job with that one, just a question are you happy with the tig welding on the barrel and throat plate only it doesn't look to be very proffessional, maybe in real life it looks better than it looked on film.
Hi Martyn, I was a bit surprised when I saw that welded area, and if it was a new boiler I would be sceptical, however I know this has been on the engine for quite a number of years. Obviously I can’t guarantee it’s the same boiler but I remember seeing this loco 20-25 years ago at an exhibition, and it wasn’t new then.

If you ever want to clean boiler again, submerse in citric acid you can buy it by the bag, it will come out totally clean 👍
