Hope to go one day) But I saw a video about them and read the Kingdom Keepers books that they make an appearance in. Those dolls are creepy. And remind me of Annabelle, Chucky, and Slappy the Dummy. I have always loved the idea of Cinderella’s castle mystery tour attraction type thing coming to Disney world with an omnimover rise system or some other type that could bump us around a bit. It wouldn’t necessarily have to be Cinderellas castle but just something in fantasyland. I love the story so much and think it would have a lot of potential in the states

I’m glad to see Phantom Manor getting some deserved call outs. I think it doesn’t get the recognition it deserves for being so scary and, honestly, really tragic. The story is beautifully heartbreaking and the fact that it spreads throughout Adventureland is honestly really cool in my opinion.
Me too! My dad tried to calmed me by showing the herbivorous dinosaurs but every dinosaur looked so terrifying for me I just kept screaming and crying like hell
The Evil Queen has always scared me! I refuse to ride Snow White's Scary Adventure and my first time on Mine Train I saw her at the very end and almost had a panic attack cause I'm super afraid of her. I even avoid her walking around and meeting guests and don't look at her window. The only time I'm okay with her is in Fantasmic because she'd have to cross the water and that'd give me a head start.
I would be terrified of all of these, because I am afraid of animatronics in general :D I would flip out even if I only saw the animatronic Mr potato head lol
It's interesting how the early versions of the witch in Snow White's Adventures looked more like a real person, rather than a 3-D visualization of the cartoon version. (And apparently there WAS a Snow White figure near the end, also looking more lifelike than the current Snow White figures.)
It made me so happy to hear the back story of Phantom Manor, mainly because Marc Davis (who was the head Imagineer for the original Haunted Mansion in California) had wanted to design a masterpiece land called Thunder Mesa for Walt Disney World. Due to a lot of politics, American economy, and timelines, Thunder Mesa never came to be and the land that had been set aside for it became Pirates of the Caribbean, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder. Phantom Manor is a nice little nod to the original idea and essentially the father of the Haunted Mansion rides. I never made the connection until now.
Basically what happened was when WDW opened in 1971, the biggest question guests asked was "Where's the pirate ride?" because the ride at Disneyland was so popular. Western River Expedition was going to be WDW's "Pirates", because they didn't want to build POTC in Florida since it's close to the actual Caribbean. But guest demand for POTC was high, so Western River Expedition/Thunder Mesa got put on the backburner and Pirates was fastracked. But another part of what was going to be included in the Thunder Mesa complex, Big Thunder Mountain, did become reality.
The animatronic uprising will happen one day... stay away from the Haunted Mansion when it happens... lol but seriously great video as always and I'm looking forward to part 2! I can't wait for you to talk about my favorite one next week!
Very cool! I had heard about the Horned King a long time ago, but never seen video of the attraction - what a shame they closed it down! It looked and sounded so cool!! I'd love to know why. Or maybe it would just make me mad. ;) My problem with the Yeti was that I'd seen video of it working and heard about it a lot before finally riding "Everest", not knowing it didn't work anymore. So although the coaster itself was amazing, the Yeti, which didn't move at all when I saw it, was a gigantic (rim shot) disappointment. So it's hard for me to think of it as very scary. I have heard all kinds of fan theories about who the Phantom was, and that the corpse in the tower was the groom or someone else, but nothing official from Disney. It'll be very interesting to see how things changed in Phantom Manor when it reopens, including clues as to the Phantom's true identity. Will they tone down the scares? I sure hope not!
I heard it was shut down to comply with Japanese structural standards. Japan is an earthquake prone country, so if the buildings aren’t stabilized for that kind of disaster, it could cause them to collapse. Either way, I’d love to see the attraction make its way over to the USA in some shape or form. Maybe built in a way that it won’t risk flooding.
EVERY TIME I RIDE DINOSAUR I CRY MY EYES OUT. I first went to Disney World when I was 5-6 and have since then been 7 more times. I am 20 now and I still cry every time i ride that ride. So scary
I remember when my parents forced me to go on the Haunted Mansion when I was about 4 or 5, I was fucking traumatized!!! I didn’t go back on it until I was about 18 when I went right before my high school graduation. It wasn’t as bad as I thought, but man I had to take SO MANY deep breaths before stepping in after 14 years hahaha
To this day, the Evil Horned King remains the most terrifying Disney Audio-Animatronic of all time. I was fortunate to have witnessed it as a kid, and I remember being convinced that my life was threatened in his presence! lol. Although it nearly scarred me for life, it was such a unique experience exclusive only to Tokyo Disneyland that I miss.
All I remember from Disney when it can to the snow white ride when I was younger was being afraid of because of the jumpscare by the witch animatronic and the woods being scary XD
All of these rides traumatized me as a child, except I never went to the haunted mansion or the last one that was mentioned. But tower of terror still traumatizes me as a child. But I'm not afraid of the yeti ride anymore, as an adult, I think it's awesome.
oml the flashbacks from me as a kid when the evil queen is pretty, looking in the mirror then she turns around and she’s the witch and it freaked me out so bad. I was traumatized.
@@tgguitarguy The animatronic (or at least it's skin) was brought onto Ellen's show after the ride closed. Seriously, that thing looked like a corpse pretending to be a blow-up doll.
The one at phantom manor usually works, shaking, growling and snarling at the guests, and it's not a happy little clean skeleton like at Disneyland, but a demonic rotting corpse. I don't think it's the only scary thing in the ride, but it's definitely one of the scariest parts for me!
the brand new Phantom animatronic at the end of the improved Phantom Manor is TERRIFYING! if its timed right he locks eyes with you and gestures towards an empty coffin and he has glowing red eyes! hes SO scary and i LOVE it!
The fact that you brought up the carnatorus made me laugh. My boyfriend told me recently when he road the Dinosaur for the first time, the Carnatorus scared him so bad that in the ride photo you see him hiding in his dad's lap. He was 18 at the time lol
"We've run out of time". Translation: "This video is now over ten minutes long which is perfect for UA-cam's algorithms. So lets make a part two to double our income".
As a kid, I guess these rides would have scared me, but as an adult, I would just love to ride all of them. I don;t scare easy anymore and my dream has always been just to go to Disney before I pass away. I'm 51 now and handicapped so hopefully I will get blessed and go to it someday.😢
The Snow White rides were to get you to experience what Snow White was going through mentally and e,emotionally. They did an awesome job at capturing that internal turmoil of emotions and psychological trauma that Snow White went through. I know... I know... that deep form of thinking is hard for most Disney guests to process and fully appreciate. Walt Disney thought highly of the intelligence of his guests, which is why many of the rides had jokes and moments that only teens and older adults would fully understand. It is why I like Disney World. I heard rumors (I'm not sure if its true since I haven't gone back to Disney since early 2000s) that they butchered Pirates of Caribbean and Haunted Mansion. 😔
When the dinosaur lunged at us when I went at 16, I turned my head in fear and got whiplash! I had a purple and blue bruised neck for the rest of the trip
the dinosaur ride. omg. i have really bad jump scare problem stuff. and when i got there. i started sobbing. it was so scary. also just thinking about the size if it i-
I also went on the Dinosaur Ride (too loud and sad), the Stitch ride (smelled bad and stitch spit right on my face), and the Haunted Mansion Ride. (My favorite ride ever at Disney World!) All while I was 3-4 years old.
Something about the line “no hero is complete withought a villain” is so badass to me, along with every hero’s picture turning into their villains pictures.
In expedition Everest I almost had a girls phone hit me in the face when the coaster went back. Funny how she actually thought she could hold the phone.
I remember the yeti vividly !! it scared the crap out of me when I was a kid and my grand father laughed at me because it was the only ride I didn't ask tot do twice XD and I had nightmare for the rest of the trip. Now im sad that it doesn't move anymore !
Omg, now I know where my fear of animatronics come from! It's that Countdown to extinction ride, I went to Disneyland with my grandma when I was 5 and she took me on that ride and I had nightmares for months afterwards. It's funny, I thought it was a TV show or a movie because remembering 5 years old is blurry but when I saw this footage, I instantly remembered, damn, crazy flashback. Thanks for the cool vid!

Phantom ravenswood was a cool character, I loved seeing him when I was a child.
OMG! As a child I was always terrified of the evil queen from snow white!
EVERY TIME I RIDE DINOSAUR I CRY MY EYES OUT. I first went to Disney World when I was 5-6 and have since then been 7 more times. I am 20 now and I still cry every time i ride that ride. So scary
Allyson Vincen me too!!!
Grow up?
asapkta mmg nah i’m good
don't be rude
I remember when my parents forced me to go on the Haunted Mansion when I was about 4 or 5, I was fucking traumatized!!! I didn’t go back on it until I was about 18 when I went right before my high school graduation. It wasn’t as bad as I thought, but man I had to take SO MANY deep breaths before stepping in after 14 years hahaha
I find real animatronics scarier than fnaf ones
well yeah, real ones you know have real sharp parts that can really cut you and possibly crush you like hydraulics.
That and the fact you can actually touch irl animatronics.
I mean... Irl FNaF animatronics exist now, but they aren't nearly like in the games
You you idiots literally have to bring a horror game into this?
We don't speak of that game.
Same
The dinosaur one scared me so badly as a kid. I was made fun of but this video validates my fear
NycKmo
Awww man!
I really wanted to see him.
He’s one of my favorite Disney villains, and I would LOVE to meet him. And get scared.
XD
@@jennikifm2 Right?! He is so underrepresented!

I actually kind ok liked the Phantom Ravenswood story
'It looks like we've run out of time'
Ill make it more accurate
'it looks like this video is ten minutes long'
lol!
The title cards for the animatronics were dope as hell. Keep that up
Thank you so much!
The ride that was replaced by the Lilo and Stitch escape thing terrified me as a child.
Sweet thunder cats pic
Omg, Alien Encounter. I remember crying at the exit as a kid after I had begged to experience that attraction lol.
oml the flashbacks from me as a kid when the evil queen is pretty, looking in the mirror then she turns around and she’s the witch and it freaked me out so bad. I was traumatized.
In the haunted mansion was that a noose?
It's surprisingly dark for a Disney ride
Yes! Very scary!
Yes. Someone was hung... so
It’s not thay spooky
No alien from Extra Terrorestrial, Xenomorph from The Great Movie Ride, or Ellen DeGeneres from Ellen's Energy Adventure?
Otaking Mikohani
I agree with your list XD
3:57 ok the carno was not hat scary and even then the ride was awesome
Ellen! xD
@@tgguitarguy The animatronic (or at least it's skin) was brought onto Ellen's show after the ride closed. Seriously, that thing looked like a corpse pretending to be a blow-up doll.
ELLEN?! XD
In Phantom Manor, there is one dog animatronic with glowing eyes and showing ribs. This is the only realy scary part of the ride.
That’s an animatronic? I’ve never seen it move.
That thing that gave me the hebygebys ....horrid 😱😱
They have one at the Hunted mansion too
The one at phantom manor usually works, shaking, growling and snarling at the guests, and it's not a happy little clean skeleton like at Disneyland, but a demonic rotting corpse. I don't think it's the only scary thing in the ride, but it's definitely one of the scariest parts for me!
When I was younger I saw a woman walking an invisible dog near it! That was cool.
Snowhites adventures scared me so much as a kid
Luna 5381 me too
#3 was featured in the classic Fetch! With Ruff Ruffman episode, Tape The Loops & Loop-De-Loops!
Also, DINOSAUR HAS A DARK RIDE?!?!? AWESOME!!!
the brand new Phantom animatronic at the end of the improved Phantom Manor is TERRIFYING! if its timed right he locks eyes with you and gestures towards an empty coffin and he has glowing red eyes! hes SO scary and i LOVE it!
The fact that you brought up the carnatorus made me laugh. My boyfriend told me recently when he road the Dinosaur for the first time, the Carnatorus scared him so bad that in the ride photo you see him hiding in his dad's lap. He was 18 at the time lol
Yeah, the carnotaurus made my heart stop for a second right before the ride ends.
The glowing eyes heart beat bride from the haunted mansion back in the eighties terrified me as a child. I think that one should be on the next list.
"We've run out of time". Translation: "This video is now over ten minutes long which is perfect for UA-cam's algorithms. So lets make a part two to double our income".
Lol, can't hate tho.. they deliver quality videos. This whole video was nostalgic to my disney days as a kid
@Feirce Majora That's painfully obvious
And a part 3 to *really* increase our balance

0:20 omg The Twilight Zone! Yass! I love that show. I watched it on Netflix.
@Movies & More lol. The living doll one was definitely spooky, that's for sure!
@Movies & More oh yeah! RedWolf & More... Movies & More. 😂
As a kid, I guess these rides would have scared me, but as an adult, I would just love to ride all of them. I don;t scare easy anymore and my dream has always been just to go to Disney before I pass away. I'm 51 now and handicapped so hopefully I will get blessed and go to it someday.😢
Just happened to stumble on this page. Amazing job!
The alien from Alien encounter was cool looking
Yes it was. Also, I like your profile picture.
Phantom Eye Luis Has
The Snow White rides were to get you to experience what Snow White was going through mentally and e,emotionally. 😔
in 3:51 the dinosaur that there trying to save in the ride there is a movie called dinosaurs and that dinosaur.is called aladar
An iguanodon named Aldar.. such a good movie tho
I really appreciate that this was a straightforward facts video instead of playing scary music and trying to make me feel scared while I watched it
This is one of your best videos
Spoopyest list ever.
Spooooopy!
YESSS
When the dinosaur lunged at us when I went at 16, I turned my head in fear and got whiplash! I had a purple and blue bruised neck for the rest of the trip
lol even anamatronic dinosaurs are still op

I went on Countdown to Extinction for the first time when I was 19 and cried 😂
hold up yous was 19 years old and cried because of an animatronic carnotaurus?
The country bear jamboree is the reason of my phobia 🙄
Stephie Paredes cbj is my childhood, one of the only things I would go on as a child! I love it sm
Of bears? or of Jamborees? Country music?
@@hdofu probably country music
Can’t wait till part two!
the dinosaur ride. omg. i have really bad jump scare problem stuff. and when i got there. i started sobbing. it was so scary. also just thinking about the size if it i-
I also went on the Dinosaur Ride (too loud and sad), the Stitch ride (smelled bad and stitch spit right on my face), and the Haunted Mansion Ride. (My favorite ride ever at Disney World!) All while I was 3-4 years old.
I remember watching the black cauldron when I was littek and it scared the shit outta me

The alien from extraterrorestrial was scarier than the carnotaurs.😂😂😂
That one freaked me out
All the times I wen on the Snow White Scary Adventure, they gave me a flashlight
Something about the line “no hero is complete withought a villain” is so badass to me, along with every hero’s picture turning into their villains pictures.
5:13 oh snap the Yeti was dabbing before it was cool
In expedition Everest I almost had a girls phone hit me in the face when the coaster went back. Funny how she actually thought she could hold the phone.
geese you deserve way more subs
