The U.S. company Maven based in Wyoming says their B series use Japanese optics but are assembled in the U.S. in San Diego. They may be the only binoculars actually made, or at least assembled, in the U.S. But Maven sells only direct and not through any dealers. Excellent program!
Thank you! I really enjoyed this video. I would love to see some more in-depth reviews of Meopta binoculars which seem to be a good alternative to more expensive European options and higher quality than similarly priced options from Japan.
Where is this Meopta factory tour video? Iv looked on you’re website and all over can’t find please add a link . Thank you
Great informative video. My Leica Noctivid says "Made in Portugal" by the way.
Very interesting video. I am wondering if these brands all design their binoculars themselves, or are their OEM products more a relabeling/restyling product and spec-wise the same?
It will be really interesting if you guys make a video and explain us some Chinese binoculars because it is affordable and fairly good too
Thank you for your suggestion! We'll write it down and try to film it in the future.
In my opinion Swarovski holds the best cards when it comes to the quality of their optical products.
That was a great review. Couple questions. Doesn’t a third party Japanese Manufacturer, Kamikura have a manufacturing plant in San Diego, CA or is it just assembly? The older Vortex Razors were made in Japan but I heard that went to China, but the Razor UHDs are made in Japan.
What about DDOptics? Any other German manufacturers? How many third party manufacturers are there in Asia all together?
I think it's just assembly in the US.
Better than nothing, but different obviously.
DDOptics is a German brand. I think design is in germany, production in japan. I own a 8x57 Pirschler, optical quality is good value for money, build quality is also ok.
Great video as always. Now, i would love to se a review of the Meopta Optika. I can't seem to find a review anywhere about It's performance, and I think iv'e binge watched just about every episode of this channel.. PS. You might want to consider better microphones when doing round-tables, due to the covid masks you all are wearing you sound very muffled. Greatings from Sweden.
Great suggestion, we have quite a few requests on videos about Meopta, so we'll make sure to make them! Yeah, we're aware of our audio problems, working on perfecting them. Thank you for watching!
Good Information...
But, you missed Kite Optics from Belgium..
Where are those made?
Yes, we missed it, sorry. Unfortunately, we don't have much experience Kite Optics. I believe they're made in Japan.
Yeah!!!
