- **EDIT. This is the 2nd mix of this demo; it includes a wah'd guitar and fuzz'd background vocal **
This song was originally released in 2020 on my "Vol.1 The Love We Were Born" album. Just today while experimenting with a totally different version than what I present to you here, I stumbled upon this idea. I like it. I hope you do too!.
Lyrics:
"It’s like midnight on a Sunday in a small southern town
Everywhere I wanna go has been shut down
Well move at your own discretion, I smell the stench of suspicion
This smells of the work of the architects of oppression
Well you tell me that you want to try and keep me safe
But if you keep me locked inside and I go insane?
I’m still a contagious threat who seeks sunshine for happiness
I feel like a sitting duck on a sinking ship
My bills are piling up and my stress won’t pass
There’s no paper on the shelves to blow my nose or wipe my..
No work, no play, no school in session
We’re the 99% in depression
This smells of the work of the architects of oppression"
