- I think the title's pretty self-explanatory here! So in this video, we'll be looking at the territories from other countries that made their way into the United States. Make sure to give all the support you can since I'm just starting out, anything would be greatly appreciated! I hope you enjoy this video and stay tuned for more in the future!

United states president Donald Trump is stupid
Also, USA didn’t take all of Arizona. Southern Arizona was later purchased by the USA from Mexico.
It isnt much of a purcharse if you hold a gun to the head of the person you are giving the money to.
@@ericktellez7632 I mean it's better than shooting that person in the face before taking the land and leaving a few pennies as compensation.
Nice!
I can't imagine how New York City was owned by the Dutch
The Dutch East India Company, the Microsoft of their time, got to it before the English saw any potential profits. They of course told the government of the Netherlands what they found and the government took it over.
For a two year period during WW II, Greenland (owned by Denmark then), was given to the USA to protect for the duration of WW II.
Oregon was negotiated between the u.s and Britain after the Maxican American war
Not maxican it Mexican
It doesn't Matter because the UK is already in the list
I live in Oregon 😁
*mexican
yeah but it was Washington and apart of Idaho was negotiated in that deal to
One thing you forgot to add was the other reason why France and Russia sold their territories. To prevent Great Britain from taking the territories and growing their power.
California got independent too and join the union
Edit : also new Mexico
SSBV2 ball
It was the equivalent to an 8 yr old saying “ Youre not the boss of me !”
California: *Was Independent for 3 weeks during Mexican-American war*
Tu estás pendejo mijo
Mexico recognised just Texa's independence but they weren't able to join to the US
No Cali got in by war
Cries in west florida, california republic, and vermont republic
California was never a Independent country
@@0_Byn yes it was. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_Republic It seceeded from mexico and while It didn't claim much as the state of alta california it was independant
Hellow Koral Tea and i am not new but i like your contryball viteo
How do you animate your videos?
Well it's quite simple actually, but takes some time. I use FireAlpaca to draw and basically do everything. I draw each picture and then play one next to another!
I met u on club Penguin
Club penguin kill, waddle on
I live in Texas
You forgot the Oregon Country.
Also great video
The Oregon COUNTY was british/american occupied
You can’t count Germany because USA took it from japan it’s like saying taking land from Spain after Mexico became independent
Well he can count germany because the japanese took it from them then the US took the same islands
@@karl.edits1 next time read my comment dumbass if let me put it in an example
France invade Ireland and annex is it and you say it used to be part of Britain so you put Ireland and Britain on the list that’s stupid and makes no sense
Okkk ccoolll!
Plz do Canada
As an American you got almost every country In my eyes you’re only missing the Philippines And the reason we broke away from Britain is because after the French and British had a war the British put taxes on everything coming into The Colonies and we didn’t like it so we eventually thought a revolutionary war with them and became our own independent nation.
I think he knew but he didn't have time
If Britain had won then the US would have been Canada South......
This list is incomplete you can help by expanding it
American:New York city
Me:am I a joke to you
As a American,I can say you're pretty darn close!
Yeah I agree
wasn't there a treaty on the "Canadian" (Rupert's Land) boarder so would that Canadian or would it still count as British as it was part of the British empire?
Texas, half Mexico :' (
Would Liberia sort of count?
Yes
Is it bad that when i looked at the american flag at the end, i sang the soviet anthem in my head, and not the USA anthem?
ya and also what about puorto rico?
Panama: I should be on this list to:c
I like it
California was also a part of Mexico that broke off during 1848. This isn't that known though because 3 weeks after California gained independence, the United States annexed it, unlike Texas's 10 years.
yea
You missed Vermont, yeah crazy, it once was a country on its own
If your going to include Sweden and holland on this list shouldn’t you also note all the native tribes?
They were tribes not countries.
Their were more nations. Vermont was Independent for awhile as border disputes with New York prevented it from joining its other states. There were the native American nations like the Iroquois Confederacy and the Navajo who in WW2 be used for code talking. There were the two short lived states of the California Republic (which is on their flag) an West Florida, and finally the debatable existence of the Free State of Jones which was a counter rebellion formed by Runaway slaves and confederate deserters during the Civil War.
Me an American: your not American!? This is going to be good someone get the popcorn!
does anybody remember the panama canal
Well you lost 2 flags because in the start of of XX colombia have panama and the US of A take panama for the panama canal and then panama have again the panama canal from the us so you need to add the colombia and panama flags
We also got Puerto Rico and Guam from Spain after the spanish american war
I knew all of them but you forgot Vermont
you also forgot the Vermont Republic i think the 14th State
During the American Revolution, Canada had territory in Northern Maine.
Then again, it was part of the british at the time.

2:36 Texas was not a country because it wasn’t recognized by my Mexico but it defacto was one but it was small not big this a common mistake and usa was the aggressor in the war we Mexicans just try to defend ourselves forcing us to lose our lands..😔🇲🇽
U FORGOT CUBA
It was a of Spain
if you mean Guantanamo Bay, then yes, as it was rented by the USA from *cuba,* not from Spain.
