I’ve been an android user for a long time and I love the software updates. Example when I had my note 20 ultra I allowed me to dual record using rear and front camera at the same time . Or when using the camera you can flick the screen and it would go from selfie to regular camera. I love that it had Picture in Picture when using UA-cam . But I just switched to iPhone 13 pro to get away from android for a while but I miss all the features I was able to do on my note 20 :/

@@anuraggupta2240 Hi, for the 2 months I've been using the phone, there's only a slight heat up when I record or edit videos or watch YT. The heating up often occurs when I play games. But still the performance of the phone is smooth :)
I like how you went for the reverse of the heavily marketed colours for each device on the video - the 13 Pro had Sierra Blue as its main colour whereas the S22U had Burgundy + Green as its new base range colours for the device. Nice fun detail!
S22.Ultra is an absolute beast. Best display I've ever seen on any smart phone. I'm also really enjoying my switch from iOS, took a few weeks and some effort to adapt but now I'm just hooked. No regrets and I don't see myself ever going back to Apple . Great video dude.
@@bigdrews4360 not missing iMessage at all to be honest. After so many years of iPhones I rarely send or received videos. My normal videos I shot was family stuff I share them locally. This whole Blue vs Green bubble is the dumbest childish thing I ever heard 😒. After a good month using new hardware and software I highly enjoying it. I could keep going dude, best damn display hands down, fantastic cameras and Android 12 (One UI 4.1) run buttery smooth. Zero regrets, I'm keeping this phone for at 2-3 years and best believe my next phone will be a Samsung flag ship. Very very impressed by Samsung on this. My only complaint would be poor battery performance by any means it's no deal breaker for me I'm averaging a solid 6-7 of screen on time. Once the phone learns your pattern usage it gets better that alone takes a good 2-3 weeks. And 6-7 hours is more than plenty for my daily use. Sorry about this long reply.

@@bigdrews4360 iPhone is a fantastic device don't get me wrong, but the fact that Apple restricts it from being even better is overwhelming (like you said boring) simple widgets on a home screen is not good enough. I'm spoiled by customization on my S22 Ultra it's a joy to use and I'm using Samsung's stock One UI software you could take even further with GoodLock. I honestly feel like this phone (s22 ultra) really belongs to me cause I'm using it exactly how I please. My advice dude if your gonna switch over be patient and put in some effort getting to your way around the interface and functions and menus. It's another learning curve. The first 2 weeks for me was a little tough. But by the 3rd week I was absolutely loving everything about this phone and One UI. Also don't expect anything on here to function like iOS, Android does the same tasks but different. Once you learned things and get familiar I think your gonna enjoy it.
@@bigdrews4360 what they don't tell you is on the z fold 3/S22 line you can choose your text color based on your wallpaper (called color palette) it also can change the app icon color & the color theme. It's fucking awesome. There is no green messages for SMS. Its just the color you choose and also applies when texting iphones. Apple does that is a way to shame androids imo

I really want to get this phone but I'm slightly concerned about the battery life because I see so many variations and I live in Europe so I will be getting the exynos version. How's your battery life?
@@tacct1kk715 Battery life is about the same in Exynos and Snapdragon. The Snapdragon can run faster at max load but then get's hotter and drains more power than the exynos. But in normal day use and in heavy gaming, you won't notice a difference. Most of the hate against this years exynos comes from Software and optimization problems and this is something that will get fixed over time.

I understand that the software take about 30 gb so I can expect to have around 150 or so gb available is that good? considering I'll be using the phone for a a couple years if the s23 ultra next year isn't super compelling
I wanted to have the s22 ultra in blue but it was online exclusive only so i didn't have time to wait for them to deliver, so i went with the green and it looks beautiful ❤️ also the performance is top notch.
I had the s22u and its goated but i had to return it cause constantly felt like i was gonna break it the iphone 13 pro max feels a bit better but it doesnt have a space zoom with a good clear camera
Facts bro, I have both and the IPhone to me is better at video recording, app optimization and iMessage/FT. Aside from that my S22 Ultra makes my IPhone feel significantly outdated in every other aspect. It’s not even close when in comes to versatility, my S22 Ultra destroys the iPhone lol
I have the s22 ultra (coming from the s10+) and love it. This is my 6th samsung phone so I am no stranger to their UI. I also have an iphone 11 pro max, my second iphone. Love that phone too but I want to upgrade to the 14 pro max when it comes out.
I have the S22U and my wife has the iPhone 13 pro max, which she switched from a note 10. I have used both phones and have to say the iPhone is too boring and I feel very limited in what I can do. I want everything possible out of these expensive phones and the S22U satisfies my needs. I feel personally the S22U is a much better phone for my needs and I constantly see better pictures from the S22U.
I have been a Galaxy user since the S2. But this year I was really disappointed by the Exynos Version of the S22 Ultra here in Germany. As I already use an IPad, I tried the IPhone 13 Pro Max this year and I don‘t regret anything. I am just tired of being a beta tester for many companies. Perhaps in another 3-4 years it will be Samsung again. I‘m happy that in general so many good alternatives exist!
All the buttons on one side I'd major mistake. Its too easy to turn off...volume its crazy. All the buttons are all together. I sm changing back to Iphone because of it.
I bought the S22 Ultra and not saying a no to it now.. At first I struggled with the battery life and wanted to sell the it, however after certain customization the phone lasts for me full day and an half.. Downgraded the 120 to 60 hz but the difference is not a big difference. Still solid fast.. Had heating issues with the phone but now it doesn't at all ! The customization done made every single piece in the device worthy. The phone used to restart once a week but now it does not.. In overall, its the best Android phone I have ever used, with great camera 📷 and sPen !
@@michaelangelopostanes2004 no, the battery issue was resolved when i did factory reset since the device i bought was used.. now i charge it till 85% and it stays with me 8 - 10 hours till it reaches 30% which is great
Love the video and far comparison. I own both these devices unlocked and so far im really loving the s22ultra more because of the display, portrait and pro camera modes, and a bit more freedom. Since i am a windows user the samsung is much easier for file transfers and the one drive with samsung and windows works flawless. While apples eco system is better if you have all of the their products, samsung isnt far behind and no slouch considering they dont own android but if they did or had their own os it would be even better. Both devices are smooth. Samsung getting at least 4 years updates on devices and 5 years security is awesome.

I got iphone 13 pro max this year, glad for the battery life, but it was too wide, so i got 13 pro now, but damn it is boring to have iphone, i don't even tabe photos anymore, so i am now waiting for my new s22 ultra, from us because i wanted the sd variant. Thank you for the comparison😃
I've watched so many videos comparing phones, but this comparison, for me is always a waste of time (though Jonathan Casey's videos are the most informative). For me its a simple decision between totally customizable and feature rich Android or 1984 Big Brother controlled environment of iphone. I bought the 2nd generation iphone way back when and hated it. spent most of my time trying to figure out how to jailbreak it to make it useful. Never again. I used to be a hardcore Mac person btw.
I have to impatiently wait for the end of the month to get my S22u. I tried the iphone (13 pro MAX) after years of saying they're trash... It wasn't half bad. But it was VERY boring and restrictive. Not as polished as people say as well. After Experiencing iOS I'm convinced I'll never go back to apple phones. My MacBook isn't going anywhere but they can keep thier phones

If you use a phone such as the S22 ultra or even the S21 we would see what I’m saying. Typed on a iPad, owner of an iPhone twelve and daily driver is a s21 ultra. Apple is to limiting to compare. My business forced me to have the apple devices. Guess why….iMessage. Nothing but apple head here in Manhattan. I use iMessage only for my clients. If I had to choose I would go Sammy all the way.
Just switched from apple to the new U22. I like the phone the only thing I do not like is the way the apps look on my car screen due to the fact that my car has Apple play so with my older phone it looked cleaner and larger.
I bought the iPhone Pro Max 13 2 days ago after comparing both devices for a long time. iPhone is a clear winner for me. The colour are accurate and being a professional photographer myself appreciate it deeply. The Samsung one is over saturated and the speakers are crap.
S22 Ultra, I have it in Graphite and I know it is matte glass on the back, but isn't the difference is,iphone uses frosted glass vs the matte glass on galaxy ? Is that why the textures feel different
No phone survives drops thats why is essential u use with care... Apple needs to bring more creativity on board. They need to offer much to their user. U Don't spend too much on a smart phone to get less. I phones are so limited.
I have the s21 ultra and if I had the money and option I would get the iPhone 13 pro max. But I would also keep my s21 ultra for a work phone. When I am at home I use my phone as a phone. At work I need it to do lots of scanning codes, sending files, and other things while I work in the field. I had an iPad for years it's actually the first generation and it still works so I wonder how long an iPhone would last? All my android phones and tablets seem to burn out or even stop working after 3 to 4 years.

Can I ask where did you read that the Iphone has a bigger sensor? Because as I remember they have on the Iphone 1/1.65 sensor vs 1/1.33 on the S22 ultra
I think it depends on your needs, I prefer IOS since games run better on there and battery life is a must for me since I’m not near a charger a lot of the time.

How the heck is the 1:1,6" sensor on iphone larger than samsungs 1:1,3"? All i know is the less noise on iphone due to comp. photography and not the sensor size since it uses the sony imx703 which is 1:1.65" which results in about 12-15% smaller sensor than the s22 ultras 1:1.33" sensor.
1. Does anyone know the Ultra's frame rates for Super Slow-Mo and for Slow Motion? The manual does not give these specs. 2. Also, do you think "Record when motion detected" in Super Slow-Mo will be activated by the tiny International Space Station passing in front of the magnified sun?
Even if your phone is unlocked. Depending on what carrier your Sim is depends on when you get updates. Seen other unlocked phones get updates way before me both being snapdragon. I think that person had t-mobile compared to my slow to update anything at&t.
I have the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the 13 Mini and have just ordered the Samsung S22 ultra that will arise in three days. I too have gotten Ed boarder with iOS and am really looking forward to the camera features. I don’t sure much video and mostly daytime photos so the Samsung looks like it’s going to be a winner. I use Android for more than 10 years - mostly Samsung. End of last year I switched to a 13 Pro Max and kept my S10 Plus as second device. Unfortunately it has the "Pink line of death" It still works but still has this annoying vertikal line on the screen. I also had display issues with my older S6 Plus that display cracked without any reason and additionally the headphone jack caused problems. My Samsung phones never dropped down. The Samsung displays are amazing in screen quality but the issues I've had with 'em annoys me. Of course I was very sceptical switching to IOS 'cause its limitations. But I was surprised how similiar both OS are and it took me one day to get used to IOS. So I enjoy the experience a lot. Built quality, performance, cam especially the video cam and battery life are amazing. The only annoying part of an iPhone is the lightning cable and adaptor crap. 😜

@David Welsh I've started taking more photos since I had kids. It might not get updates after next year, but you have to let you money last. I bought the s22 ultra and I didn't feel it was much quicker than the s10.

I've watched so many videos comparing phones, but this comparison, for me is always a waste of time (though Jonathan Casey's videos are the most informative). For me its a simple decision between totally customizable and feature rich Android or 1984 Big Brother controlled environment of iphone. I bought the 2nd generation iphone way back when and hated it. spent most of my time trying to figure out how to jailbreak it to make it useful. Never again. I used to be a hardcore Mac person btw.
I have to impatiently wait for the end of the month to get my S22u. I tried the iphone (13 pro MAX) after years of saying they're trash... It wasn't half bad. But it was VERY boring and restrictive. Not as polished as people say as well. After Experiencing iOS I'm convinced I'll never go back to apple phones. My MacBook isn't going anywhere but they can keep thier phones

Hey great video! So, the reason I'm watching this video is because I just bought my son the iPhone 13+ pro and I noticed how sweet his pictures were, "incredible"! So I've had a Samsung galaxy for the past 10yrs and now after seeing his phone and pictures it's got me scratching my head! I might want that new iPhone. Naaa! I'm good.

iMessage. At least in America that’s the main reason. Also they don’t know any better. Samsung is updated every year just like iPhone. Sammy is just as premium as the iPhone. No issues gaming on the ultra. Actually better in some instances due to the screen dimming from heat on iPhone. The Samsung eco system doe the same as apple and even more with dex. I can keep going. If you use a phone such as the S22 ultra or even the S21 we would see what I’m saying. Typed on a iPad, owner of an iPhone twelve and daily driver is a s21 ultra. Apple is to limiting to compare. My business forced me to have the apple devices. Guess why….iMessage. Nothing but apple head here in Manhattan. I use iMessage only for my clients. If I had to choose I would go Sammy all the way.

Just switched from apple to the new U22. I like the phone the only thing I do not like is the way the apps look on my car screen due to the fact that my car has Apple play so with my older phone it looked cleaner and larger.

I bought the iPhone Pro Max 13 2 days ago after comparing both devices for a long time. iPhone is a clear winner for me. The colour are accurate and being a professional photographer myself appreciate it deeply. The Samsung one is over saturated and the speakers are crap.

S22 Ultra, I have it in Graphite and I know it is matte glass on the back, but isn't the difference is,iphone uses frosted glass vs the matte glass on galaxy ? Is that why the textures feel different

I have the s21 ultra and if I had the money and option I would get the iPhone 13 pro max. But I would also keep my s21 ultra for a work phone. When I am at home I use my phone as a phone. At work I need it to do lots of scanning codes, sending files, and other things while I work in the field. I had an iPad for years it's actually the first generation and it still works so I wonder how long an iPhone would last? All my android phones and tablets seem to burn out or even stop working after 3 to 4 years.

@@megajeremy3000 I used to charge the ultra once a day in the evening. Down to about 20% after about 5 hours screen on time. S21 ultra was a great phone to be honest, I just fancied a change.

Because as I remember they have on the Iphone 1/1.65 sensor vs 1/1.33 on the S22 ultra
I think it depends on your needs, I prefer IOS since games run better on there and battery life is a must for me since I’m not near a charger a lot of the time.

How the heck is the 1:1,6" sensor on iphone larger than samsungs 1:1,3"?
All i know is the less noise on iphone due to comp. photography and not the sensor size since it uses the sony imx703 which is 1:1.65" which results in about 12-15% smaller sensor than the s22 ultras 1:1.33" sensor.

1. Does anyone know the Ultra's frame rates for Super Slow-Mo and for Slow Motion? The manual does not give these specs.
2. Also, do you think "Record when motion detected" in Super Slow-Mo will be activated by the tiny International Space Station passing in front of the magnified sun?
Even if your phone is unlocked. Depending on what carrier your Sim is depends on when you get updates. Seen other unlocked phones get updates way before me both being snapdragon. I think that person had t-mobile compared to my slow to update anything at&t.
I have the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the 13 Mini and have just ordered the Samsung S22 ultra that will arise in three days. I too have gotten Ed boarder with iOS and am really looking forward to the camera features. I don’t sure much video and mostly daytime photos so the Samsung looks like it’s going to be a winner. I"d def go for the s22 ultra
I use Android for more than 10 years - mostly Samsung. End of last year I switched to a 13 Pro Max and kept my S10 Plus as second device. Unfortunately it has the "Pink line of death" It still works but still has this annoying vertikal line on the screen. I also had display issues with my older S6 Plus that display cracked without any reason and additionally the headphone jack caused problems. My Samsung phones never dropped down. The Samsung displays are amazing in screen quality but the issues I've had with 'em annoys me. Of course I was very sceptical switching to IOS 'cause its limitations. But I was surprised how similiar both OS are and it took me one day to get used to IOS. So I enjoy the experience a lot. Built quality, performance, cam especially the video cam and battery life are amazing. The only annoying part of an iPhone is the lightning cable and adaptor crap. 😜

Honestly as an android user, one of the main reasons why i don't switch to IOS is because of the lack of a fingerprint scanner...

@David Welsh I've started taking more photos since I had kids. It might not get updates after next year, but you have to let you money last. I bought the s22 ultra and I didn't feel it was much quicker than the s10.
