I remember Mummies Alive! That was a hell of a show. Bit cheesy, but in all the best ways. Also, some of those mummies were weirdly hot for enchanted corpses.
You guys have got pretty lucky, this is one of the more tame randomizer playthroughs I've seen. But if we ever want to see the end of the game maybe it's for the best 😂
They've definitely made it easier for themselves, probably for the sake of progress. I'm guessing the office is/was absolute anarchy in the run up to Jingle Jam and then around it. They've got birds and foxes for half the bosses, they re-rolled out of the one boss they found that actually presented a challenge by not being weak to bleed, and they're basically completely reliant on how OP bleed is especially with that corpse piler weeb stick.
I figure *_Gargoyles_* was likely bigger in the US, since it was one of the series I remember quite well as being fairly popular. Always interesting when things like that are really different across the pond, and hearing about all those "action creatures" series I havent thought about in _ages._
Seems the Randomizer, when trying to pick bosses to replace other 2-phase bosses is normally picking a 2-phase first boss. The Dragonkin Soldiers technically have two phases, I think?
10:53 ben: "imagine if this was actually how the game worked. It was just like 'here's the same boss again but time he has pink on him!'" Ben... that is the way the game works. Out of the 168 bosses only 8 aren't repeated. There are 3 separate dragonkin soldier encounters, for a relevant example. For the curious the only bosses that do not have additional combat encounters are: Renala Radahn Rykard Melania Fire Giant Sir Gideon Ancient Dragon Placidusax Radagon/Elden Beast Malekith would have made the list if you couldn't fight his first phase as gurranq the beast clergymen in greyoll's dragonburrow if you gave him too many death plants.
To be fair those are significant bosses rather than just tough enemies, as opposed to dark souls 2 which quite literally has the same boss but reskinned three times as well as a lonely ornstein
I wonder why they're deciding on generic royalty free epic music for boss fights instead of... You know, the amazing boss fight soundtrack that Elden Ring has inherently? Or does it not work with this randomiser?
I'm definitely sad they didn't go for the Ranni ending cus I mean like... that's probably the coolest route in the game imo as well as kinda the best in game explained wtf is going on for Ben.
Statistically you're more likely to face a dragonkin or cat statue or "dude on horse" boss than any other boss in the game. You guys keep randomizing, you're going to see statistically average bosses more.
Is this an "easy mode" randomizer? I've done multiple randomizer runs and I've never seen this many passive animals. They keep fighting the same bosses and the enemy variability is super low. Fair play if they just want to goof around, this isn't a challenge run, but I'd like to know if this is totally random or if it's been tweaked.
Daily reminder that Tom is an amazing person and to thank him for all he has done/will do - Day 1459 Ver good honestly from Ben with admitting it took 16.5 mins to find the doorway XD XD Classic Tom and Ben moment with the success of the Death on Button trick with the lift, only for it to keep going, forcing them to do it legit XD "Randomized"? More like "Oops, all bosses Dragonkin" XD 14:27 "Your fighting the air and losing" XD Damn, close to the end, shame, but been such a great time :D
"ROOLLLL UP ROOOLLL UP"
"Its... its fine i dont need one"
toms a better merchant than 90% of the games npcs
Man, "Action Creatures" sounds like a great name for a retro style indie game
Don't know why, but I just LOVE the shopping sequences in this series
probably the wii shop music
_“Roll up, rolllll up!!”_
I knew it was coming, with the wii music. And still I just lost it. It's so funny and the music soo doesn't match the aesthetic of the game.
"Gargoyles" is going to become Ben's version of "The Inner Light" Star Trek episode (Picard's Flute) for Tom!
I love Ben! And also Tom!
Edit: nevermind Tom immediately forgot Maliketh now I only like Ben
I remember Mummies Alive! That was a hell of a show. Bit cheesy, but in all the best ways. Also, some of those mummies were weirdly hot for enchanted corpses.
Literally the only two things I remember about Mummies Alive are the awesome theme song and that the brainy mummy pretends to invent water skiing.
I remember the banger theme song and the hot mummy, that's about it
That and Pirates of Dark Water are two of the '90s series that feel fairly obscure compared to Gargoyles but semi-similar as mildly-dark fantasy.
Loving this series, you two are such an entertaining duo, it feels like hanging out with mates
The Overwatch music during the last fight really threw me off for some reason

Mummies alive was dope. I used to have a VHS of like 3 episodes. And Swat cats. Really bringing back my childhood.
25:02 I thought this was their sign off. 😂
Can't wait to see who Gideon is with the monologue
Okay but on the subject of action creatures, who could forget "Captain Simian and the SPAAAAAAAAAACE MONKEYS"??
can never get enough tom and ben antics!
Really loving this series! Hoping to see more tom and ben content after it finishes 🥰
I don't remember anything about Mummies Alive, except that the theme was a bit of a bop and I wanted a flying bike like one of the mummiesa had.
I've loved this series so much!

Definitely feels like a US thing, we had it air in AUS but it was normally beat out by TMNT, Darkwing Duck, Ducktales, Talespin and the like.
It was pretty popular in Germany too, as far as I remember.
3:39 aim for the bushes!
cant want for the final 2 epic battles against the dragon kin soldiers
I really enjoyed the Cup Game Tom bit!
Pretty sure the 2002 cartoon Skeletor had a sword that splits in two as mentioned.

Last vid I think Tom said they cant summon, but I am fairly certain the Seamless Coop mod allows summons, long as you have the normal items for it.

I dont even know what a disney gargoyle is
Randomized Elden Ring, now sponsored by Dragonkin.
If you’re watching this on the playlist, it’s not on there but they did make a final video
Pretend there was a witty quip in this comment, the algorithm demands it.
I'm sure frenzied flame can still be gotten..
Are they not going to mantion the 220k souls rhey git from that fight?
Witty quips all around!
I love your vids ❤

Please more duo content.

they also did the 2 sword 1 sword in demons souls

I loved Gargoyles, I am not looking forward to reboot.
Best ever!

What about bucky O'hare? One of the original action creatures of the 90s
