Thank you! Helpful guide. I havent added the kit my bike yet. But pushing the rubber gasket + bracket unit over the usb box was definitely a challenge. Took me some fiddling but, I was finally able to push through the process.
New subscriber here! :-) Fantastic tutorial! Something I will be saving for later. Sorry if this was answered elsewhere, but where did you get that USB kit from? I tried looking online and wasn't very successful. Thanks in advance.
Great Vid Dave enjoyed it and was looking for an easy way to get a USB on my dash without having to run the line from the battery! Absolutely stupendous! Bravo! Where did you get the USB outlet from?
@@WheelieGoodTV have you found any power cuts or problems since installing. As I've read that that pin is connected to the same terminal where you have lights and other important things. So my understanding is that if drawing too much power it can cause whole dash/ or signals to fail as well

That’s the Quad Lock system. Superb! They have a website which I bought it from and got it a few days later. Rock solid even after a year of chucking the bike around.👍🏍
Hi, clearly that is a specific USB Socket Accessory kit that is designed to plug straight into the available socket on the 660. What is the name of the kit ... I am not having any luck finding it.
Why did you have to install it this way? I saw another video where there is already a cut out on the left side of the dash for the USB to go. You just remove the cover and the plug is behind it. But then I looked at the pdf instructions online and it shows the way you did it. I am totally confused??!? Are there two different bike models or what?
@@WheelieGoodTV so of course I did not pay attention to the title 😆. You have the RS and I have the Tuono. That is the difference. 🤦🏾♂️. Much easier to install in the Tuono and $10 cheaper because you do not need the metal bracket.
No rooters were injured in the making of this video...
Tidy job. Very neat.

I wasn't aware there was a kit for a USB socket! It's a must buy for me. Cheers for the video.
It’s the simple things in life Dave that bring us guys unstuck 😆, nice job 👍 regards Paul

Thanks for the video. Was very helpful!
Cheers Andrew.👌
Nice one Dave! 👍
I'm still wondering what that first loose connection you found is for🤔
That sets off my OCD ..🙆♂️😜
To put you at ease Ken, I believe it’s for heated grips. 😮💨
It's for the anti theft system status light. I have installed it.
@@StintStier ah ha, thanks for clarifying that. 👍🏍

Welcome bud.🙏

Hi Brendan, no such problems fortunately. It has worked perfectly since installing. 🤗👍
Nicely done
I'm digging the cellphone attachment rig, where'd you pick that up?

great work, thank you, that was amazing support for us
You’re welcome bud.👍🏍
I am planning on buying this bike and adding this usb socket. Too bad Aprilia didnt add it by factory.
Where did you use the supplied ziptie? Not sure where/how to use it haha
Don’t think I bothered…..
@@WheelieGoodTV right on lol yeah it doesn't seem necessary! All mounted up now anyhow haha!

I suspect this is for American versus European versions.

Yes it is but I purchased mine from Midland Scooter Centre in the UK.
the instructions that came with it has poor illustrations making it difficult to understand.
Yep, that’s why I made this vid.😜👍
Merci 👍🇨🇵

Looks really tidy. Pity more manufacturers don't do the same
